- Are you enjoying your life as much now, as what you were back in those good ole days?

Much, much, more now.

- Do you value what you learned, gleaned, and experienced while you were a young man within the ranks of the CofS?

I learned later what a fool I was. So no.

- Despite all the crap and hardship while within the CofS, would you trade that experience for something else?

Yes. Whatda ya got?

The Anabaptist Jacques

Not as qualified as "the" FCDC oldtimers, but...

Especially since the recent good outcome, I am happier today than ever. And I never really claimed to be all that "cool," but definitely Mystic is one cool dude. You can see him through his deep insight into all things Scn. The rest of the crew is likewise grounded in reality. Here are some pics, and as I have changed drastically, I do not fret about OSI or whatever they call themselves. hope this works....

Carmel--Q and A

Seriously Uncle Sammy, I'm a bit 'shy' for this, but I'm gonna go for it anyway. :nervous:

- Were you always as cute and as loving and as alluring as what you are now on ESMB? :whistling:

- Are you FCDC lot as 'hot' as you make out to be, or are you just pretending? :whistling:

- Is the persona here a total pretence, or is it something that some of us gurrrls are justified in dreaming about as a potential reality? :giggle:

- Have you settled down, or livened up in your later years? :eyeroll:

- Who was the naughtiest of you FCDC lot?

- Who was the most sensible of you FCDC lot? :confused2:

- Who was the "catch" of you FCDC lot? :coolwink:

- Is Nozeno the hunk he professes to be, or is he just all talk? :whistling:

- If I knew Mystic back then, would I have drooled over him as I do now? :coolwink:

On a more serious note, and questions to each of you:

- Are you enjoying your life as much now, as what you were back in those good ole days?

- Do you value what you learned, gleaned, and experienced while you were a young man within the ranks of the CofS?

- Despite all the crap and hardship while within the CofS, would you trade that experience for something else?

Uncle Sam, in regard to you visiting this wonderful Continent of Australia - It would be such a pleasure for me and my friends here to meet you too. You'd be more than welcome here any time, and there's no doubt that we'd all have a ride that we'd all treasure and remember!

Answers:
1]were you always cute and alluring? Only to 80% of the "girls"- The women I've met in life generally perceived me to be somewhat cute - a hint of the bad boy-and an engaging conversationalist with a bright future [boy that sounds like bs-but that's my story-and- I'm sticking to it].

2]was I hot or just pretending? ooh another q that plays on my self image-ok- I've always gotten good reviews by the girls and that helped in going from one to another to another and so on --

3] is the persona here a pretense or....? My current persona on esmb is a combination of what I was then to who I am now.... all the hottie stuff is from way back then.....I was raised by a "puritan" woman who instilled in me a great respect for women in general and even a greater respect for the marriage vows-- I've been with my wife now for 34 years with no vacations from those vows of fidelity. I did really and thoroughly enjoy all of my out ethics on the 2d way back then---but those days were of "free love'-Aquarius and Woodstock--it was "what one did" and so I did with unbridled enthusiasm and appreciation.

4] have you settled down or....? Oh my god---yes to having settled down--couldn't do now what I did then--

5]Who was the naughtiest? Probably "me". Could be wrong as I was out of the org as much as possible out "touring" for $$$$--I had a wonderful adventures traveling the US and Canada regging hotties and others. But back at the org-who knows...

6]Who was the most sensible? Anyone who left before I did..well [I'm thinking hard here--actually - no one was very sensible]

7] Who was the catch? Again-a trick question- all the guys are doing well in life--no billionaires- but everyone seems to be comfortable with nice - fulfilling lifestyles.

8] Nozeno--is he a hunk....? Nozeno is a man's man and also a woman's man. He is the real deal. A very smart and talented --fun-fun guy!

9]Mystic????? Good lord-woman--yeah- you would love the "mystic" everyone did and does----he's a giant personality--engaging as the sun ---smart-dynamic a total awesome "trip".

10] enjoying life -now- as much as you did back in the day?
Even more so--I learned how to learn-how to find the silver lining in a cloud and found my passion and have made the best of any hand that I've been dealt and how to make my own future.

11] do I value what I learned and gleaned while in the cos?
Of course--there is "no" experience that one cannot learn from--and you better or you are so screwed!

12]Would I trade my cos experience for something else?
This is the million dollar question! Back in time- I was faced with going to Viet Nam as a US soldier [no way that was going to happen] or becoming a minister in the cos [at least that was what I thought - i was wrong of course-but]-- I had such high hopes for "clear and OT" and so wanted those things...... ok -enough ---as I sit now-- I should of hunkered down and learned chemistry [ hated-chemistry] and gone to medical school and become a general surgeon.

Dear Carmel --thanks for the trip through memory lane...please ask for clarifications or ask more questions.

so here is another attempt. after this I quit. Will try to find smaller files and come back later

there are severe limitations on what you can use as attachments on ESMB, so, the best way to do it is to upload to a (free) photobucket.com site (or other) then just use the IMG link they give you automatically here. Really, a good picture should be a *good* (big) picture :)

To Carmel

Think for a moment-and see if you will indulge me.
I would like to plan a trip to Australia to see you-to see the exes-and- to see your wonderful continent.
What city do I fly into?
What tourist attractions are must see?
What "activities" are must do?
What events have to be seen?
How many days should I plan on being in Australia?
Is New Zealand worth going to [after]?
I would like to host the exes to a party-any ideas?
I would like to spend time with you and others as you so deem-how long would you suggest such meetings be?
This trip may not come to pass-but-I find myself much intrigued with the idea.

to Winston..

I feel - very good after seeing the pics you shared with us. Those men look like warriors-even the old guy--

oh my god

when my neice showed me that pic, i roundly chastised her for making me look like the dirty old man i am. Really hate to be reminded in such graphic fashion that I have lost "the bloom of youth." (Don't feel quite so bad behind the cello however.)

Think for a moment-and see if you will indulge me.
I'm not really used to "thinking", but I will for a moment, and am happy to indulge ya. :coolwink:

I would like to plan a trip to Australia to see you-to see the exes-and- to see your wonderful continent.
It's quite a huge continent, there is much to see and do, and the distances from A-B are large. I'm presuming you'd be talking weeks (as opposed to months) - in which case, I tend to wanna tear my hair out when I think of giving advice on where to go and what to "see" with limited time -eek! Besides, we all have our limits to how long we can handle being on "holiday" and/or how much "sightseeing" we can take in one hit.

Port Douglas and the Great Barrier reef in Northern Queensland is a sight and such a treat:

But then I feel the same way about The Kimberley's in Western Australia

And The Great Ocean Rd, down in Victoria

.....Ullaru/Ayers Rock (in the centre of Australia)

The deserts and outback with the hundreds and hundreds of wild running Kangaroos and Emus and the odd mob of wild Brumbies are pretty awesome too.

I'd want you to see and experience the lot, but of course, I know that there would be limitations, and that you'd have your preferences. Given that,I'd probably suggest the following:

What city do I fly into?
Sydney. Then get a limo up to the Central Coast. You could hire a car once you're up here, but you wouldn't want to attempt driving through Sydney straight up - our road system is a nightmare for people who don't know it, let alone those used to driving on the other side of the road.

What tourist attractions are must see?
From here, there are various attractions.

http://www.centralcoastaustralia.com.au/AreaInfo/attractionsOverview.asp
(including the Australian Reptile Park)
http://www.hunterweb.com.au/wine/index.htm
http://www.visitnsw.com/area/Barrington_Tops_and_Surrounds/attraction.aspx

Then down in Sydney, there are several attractions
http://www.sydneyeguide.com/attraction.php

The South Coast (from Sydney to Melbourne), is just gorgeous - Ya could drive down with a couple of stop overs on the way.

Once ya get to Melbourne, ya could see the sites around there, and then take some time to go on the Great Ocean Road, with a couple of stop overs.

What "activities" are must do?
See the sites for what you're intersted in. Maybe an outdoor concert in the Hunter Valley at either the Bimbageon ot Tempus Two wineries - they are outdoor, and on with international performers from Spring through autumn/fall. Maybe a walk over the Sydney harbour bridge too, but ya have to book in advance. - All sorts of activities - depends what you're in to, and how fit and strong you are.

What events have to be seen?
What's on the sites (including the croc shows, and handling the snakes at the Australian reptile park).

How many days should I plan on being inkeeping Australia?
For the above, maybe 14.

Is New Zealand worth going to [after]?
Absolutely - the South Island of New Zealand is heaven on a stick.

You'd be best to take a bus tour - Fly into Christchurch, then a tour of Mt Cook, Lake Wanaka, and Queenstown. There are lots of activities along the way for those who are up to it.

I would like to host the exes to a party-any ideas?
Oh my, all 500 of us? :coolwink:

Awww, on a serious note, that's nice! :) I'd have plenty of ideas, and that would depend on your budget. We are near water here, and have a jet ski and boat for water skiing wake boarding etc. If it was summer time, we could go to a particular park where there are a few jetties, tables and trees for shelter, then the sailing club at one end of it where they have a bistro - a nice spot on the water for dinner and drinks after a day out.

I would like to spend time with you and others as you so deem-how long would you suggest such meetings be?
Whatever ya fancy. If we had notice, and you came up here, then I would enjoy taking a few days to show you around, and I could organise for a few others to join us for the odd outing, here and in Sydney.

This trip may not come to pass-but-I find myself much intrigued with the idea.
Same. :)

Crikey, I got a bit carried away - Fair dinkum! :giggle:

It looks nice, doesn't it?

This is how they lure them in.

My God!

These people are *AUSTRALIANS* - don't you realize that???

To-Carmel!!

Thanks!!!
You've met my expectations to the fullest--now---I've got to so some planning.
The Australian Tourist Board should give you a big bonus for creating such a tempting menu of -places-sites-things-that make your continent such an inviting place to visit.
Thanks again for your work-greatly appreciated!!!!!
