I AM A CHRISTIAN SCIENTOLOGIST

Jesus%2Bmeditating%2B-%2BBruce%2BHarman.jpg

So can the Christian Scientologist say -- in zero grade Aorist of course -- that he was on the Bridge, is on the Bridge, and will be on the Bridge?

Pip: When you drop this mortal coil and pass on to Glory, you will be perfected by God. Therefore, Scientology will be of no use in Heaven. Given your sanctification/justification/glorification in the past/present/and future that was accomplished by God's finished work in Christ, how can Scientology be claimed to offer a Christian anything of eternal value?

Pip, do you detect an inadequacy or deficit in the Holy Spirit or God's Word such that you must rely upon the works of Man until you come to rest in Heaven?

Also, if demons are cast out in the name of Jesus, then why would a Christian need NOTs? Should not the Blood and Name of Jesus Christ be efficacious to effect deliverance from all unwanted discarnate beings that afflict the Christian?

Do you crucify Christ anew by resort to Scientology?

Try this one on for size...People don't need to be saved BY Christianity. They need to be saved FROM Christianity. Firstly, there is no such thing as original sin. Thus the whole idea of being 'saved' is a scam. Secondly, I've seen the fruits of what this golem who called himself 'the Light and the Way' have born over the last eighteen centuries. Not only is he not a divinity, he's inferior in the products he produced and in his address to life to the average slob. What a pity that there are some genuinely nice people on this board who can't see this, glaring as it is.

So how do you feel about Hubbard denying Christ?

From "Assists" lecture. 3 October 1968. #10 in the confidential Class VIII series of lectures:
"Anyway, Everyman is then shown to have been crucified so don't think that it's an accident that this crucifixion, they found out that this applied. Somebody somewhere on this planet, back about 600 BC, found some pieces of R6, and I don't know how they found it, either by watching madmen or something, but since that time they have used it and it became what is known as Christianity. The man on the Cross. There was no Christ. But the man on the cross is shown as Everyman. So of course each person seeing a crucified man, has an immediate feeling of sympathy for this man. Therefore you get many PCs who says they are Christ. Now, there's two reasons for that, one is the Roman Empire was prone to crucify people, so a person can have been crucified, but in R6 he is shown as crucified."

I felt sick when i heard this tape on the Class V111 Course as I always believed in Jesus, wasnt long after this I was gone for good from Scientology, never finished the course as got myself thrown off staff:yes: few years later got declared for asking for my money back, only got £5,000 wish id had got the lot that I paid as it was all total crap & a con.

Hey, you guys, give Pip a break. He (or she) was brave enough to stand up for his/her beliefs and be honest and open about them (despite accurately predicting the response), and in my world s/he can believe whatever s/he likes provided it does no harm to others. Remember freedom of religion? I say all of this as a non-Christian, non-muslim, non-buddhist, non-hindu, non-Jew and non-just about anything else you care to name.

Pip, good on you. Many people here may not agree with you and that's their right too.

Petey, while I pretty much agree with all you say here I'm not quite ready to "give him a break". And it is not anything personal towards him; I don't dislike him at all. Actually I admire his persistence on this thread and his unwillingness to compromise with his personal beliefs. I'm all for freedom of religion and really could care less what his or anyone on the board's religious beliefs may be. I don't choose my friends based on their religious beliefs.

But still I am not at all ready to "give him a break". Pip is going way beyond simply expressing his religious beliefs. He is (via his websites linked to in the OP) promoting ChristianScientology as "the religion of the 21'st Century". And I would be totally fine with him doing so IF he would give people a warning about the insane criminal organization known as the CoS. To promote scientology in any form without warning about the current organization could set someone onto a path which results in destruction to themselves as well as their family.

Pip, as it stands now, you don't issue not even one word of warning on your webpages or blog as concerns the CoS. Maybe you are not totally aware of the nature of the CoS. If that's the case than there is a treasure of information here on ESMB and elsewhere on the net. You don't seem the type that would intentionally send others into harms way. But by promoting scientology as part of ChristianScientology without any warning labels there is a real risk that someone can be hurt.

Put some realistic warnings onto your promotional sites and I then will be more than happen to give you a break.

I don't see ANY compatibility between scientology and Christianity. That's pretty obvious I'm sure from my previous postings. And you probably won't see me coming into your ChristianScientology Church anytime soon.

But if you adjust your promotional materials as suggested above I'll fully support your freedom of religion.

I am afraid it is far more restrictive than that. Membership in the Landover Baptist Church is mandatory in order to get into Heaven: http://www.landoverbaptist.org/

I liked the article "DID THE CRAZY EGYPTIANS JUMP START ARMAGEDDON?" the best. My wife is Colombian and like her family and countrymen, thought of themselves as being of pure Castillian Spanish stock, not having a clue that her family comes from the massive ethnic cleansing of Muslims being forced to convert to Christianity during the Spanish Inquisition. So I bought her the DNA test from DNATribes.com and she found she's from the Ottoman invasion of Europe and is a mixture of Kurd, Turk, Egyptian, Pakistani etc. That's what's misleading about hispanics is that they seldom have much actual Spanish in them. Hispanics are a nomadic Middle Eastern culture with middle eastern values, temperaments and are typically as fervent Christians now as their ancestors were fervent Muslims. Middle Eastern religion and it's offshoots, wars, horrors etc. are just something I want no part of.

Even more bizarre is the role that Count Dracula, "The Impaler", had in scaring off the Islamic invasion of Europe. He skewered 10's of thousands of invading Muslims on stakes to thwart successive waves of this massive invasion. Middle Eastern "religion" is the weirdest thing that ever besieged mankind. But had no one fought back, our "Hispanic" population would still be Muslim...

I don't believe in original sin, either. Nor am I a Christian anymore. But I used to be. I feel about it the way I do about Scn. There's beauty in it side by side with lies.

I do not regret having been involved with either.

I think that the concept of combining the two is possibly based upon mathematics that adding two negatives equals a positive. It can also be seen as hedging ones bet, spiritually, that if ones believes in two extremes, simultaneously, one hedges ones bet in that you've covered all positions in between the two extremes. Too bad it doesn't really work that way but we'll never really know as no one has ever come back from the grave, full memory intact, and let us in on the secret... If Elron could comeback and cash in on "the truth", don't you think you'd have been hearing ca-ching, ca-ching, ca-ching????

What a spastic, twitching, mindless moron!!! He is proof all within himself that Scientology just does NOT work!!! AT ALL!!!!!:omg:

Oh yes, it is so unchic to say anything good about Christianity. You forget Christ lived in a very superstitious age, a brutal time, a time where people were lucky to survive from one year to the next. I will defend it on grounds that it made the world at least think about peace, think about the welfare of others. Like any other endeavor though, it was easily corrupted by men who saw in it a path to controlling masses, the path to great wealth by deception.

I am one of the peeps on this board who sees beyond what you call glaring deficiencies. Just because you refuse to see does not make me less of a person. And being an artistic type, I find the King James Version of the Bible to be very beautiful prose/poetry.

In closing I will say that the 1950s were a better time than this shithouse century. I was a very happy kid then who felt limitless opportunity before me. Now in the USA it is practically illegal to profess a membership in a religion. No it does not say anywhere in the US Constitution that there is a "separation between church and state." Go read it from cover to cover and you will not find it. Again, remember our founders were determined to not have the government DICTATE what religion would be "official." Someone read a private letter of Thos Jefferson to a friend trying to explain how the state should not be involved with establishing religion and now somehow the Fed courts run with that. Jackasses.

I submit we in the USA were a far more moral society when religion was respected, not reviled.

This kind of sounds like Pascal's Wager.

Kind of, mind you...as in "similar".

My opinion of Christianity has nothing whatever to do with being chic or unchic. It came corrupt out of the mouths of those who promoted it at the outset . Some shithead tells me that I can't have a relationship with my God unless I go through him, is a lying piece of maggot covered booger. "I am the Light and the Way no man passeth unto the Father save through me." NOfuckingBODY has to go through that egomaniacal skuzzbag to have a relationship with God. but I mean NOBODY!

When did Christianity make people think about peace, when its minions were torturing people on the rack, burning them at the stake or gassing them in ovens? No separation of church from state? I remember sitting unsuspecting at a highschool football game when some preacher read a prayer at the outset. He ended it with the words, 'we ask this in Jesus' name.' I'll take the shock of that illegal violation of my rights as a jewish kid to my grave. I am as american as you or any other redneck cracker in this country. I was in the cub scouts, I listened to Tom Mix on the radio, I had a secret squadron ring from Capt. Midnight. And with the above words I was suddenly kicked out of own country. I felt spiritually raped. I was a kid in the 50's too. Yes, it was a better time then. But there was a war in Korea, and part of my jewish school was burned down during the McCarthy witch trials by your wonderful Christians.

It's almost illegal to profess membership in a religion? Are you on medication? There isn't a day that goes by that I don't see at least five people wearing crosses. People profess their religion on every hand. Sure the Queen James Bible is beautiful. Most traps designed to ensnare souls are beautiful. Why don't you be honest. You don't favor religion. You favor Christianity. And nothing would make you happier than to have it shoved down every American's throat. When I was a teenager in Orange County, Calif. our congressman, one James B. Utt, put a bill onto the House floor in Washington, to the effect that no one could be an american citizen unless he/she signed an affidavit affirming a belief that Jesus Christ was his/her lord and saviour. You probably would have loved to have seen this bill made into law. Now butter that onto your God accursed cross, and then JAM IT!

Yes, there are a lot of religious fairy tales that have been told (and enforced upon society). The "Garden of Eden" is one. The "Christ on the Roman cross" is another.
These are human cultural items. Unfortunately, many people simply believe them without question... others just don't want to think about it and go about their daily lives.

This kind of sounds like Pascal's Wager.

Thanks. This is one of the most valued response I've received on any message board. I'm thrilled to learn of this as it mirrors much of what occurs to me naturally with regard to religion, specifically Christianity. I knew nothing of the French philosopher Pascal.

You mean good old Racist times. Ask Hubbard to draw a Negroe ;)

Where people got Institutionalized for being "different"

When boys got fondled by priests in the name of God

People got KILLED by the goverment for being a "commi"

The 50ties when some smuck added "under God" to the pledge of alligence or something like that.

The founding fathers were mostly deïsts, A fancy way of safely saying you didn't believe in God that much

Pascal's worth checking out, though a good encyclopedia article might be better than trying to read his own writings — they're a little long-winded, and in my view you can condense out just a few really good thoughts.

Pascal was a historically important mathematician who did basic work in probability theory, and he also made important contributions to early physics. The metric unit of pressure is named after him. His famous 'wager' about God has probably never convinced many people, but it survives as one of the basic issues to consider, if only because it points out how difficult it is to apply logic to a problem where the stakes are so large.

Pascal lived in the time when modern astronomy was beginning to get going, and I think his reaction to the enormous scale of the cosmos was more honest than the false cosiness we get from Star Trek: "The eternal silence of those infinite spaces terrifies me." The microscope was pretty new in his time as well, and Pascal was the first to articulate the drastic implications of the new discoveries: that humans live in a thin layer of experience, poised between the two ungraspable infinities of the unthinkably large and the invisibly small.

In some ways Blaise Pascal was a medieval religious fanatic, but in other ways he was maybe the first modern mind. So he's interesting.

Pip, you present several interesting points of view. I wonder if you are not in fact a Christian Science Scientologist.

A few more questions:

1. If God dwells in Heaven, and you are in Heaven having a dream of a human life, then is not God dreaming you?

Who is the one dreaming you now Pip?

2. Is there only ultimately God dreaming?

If so, is the Dream itself error?

If so, why is a Perfect God having a dream of error?

3. LRH said the primary error was that thetans thought they were one. Contrast this with Christ whose goal is to make all of us One in God. Is Scientology therefore Satanic because it forbids Unity, or Oneness, with God?

/////

Hi J Swift - You do ask difficult questions. Firstly I would say Scientology includes science, since science is to study and Scientology is to study in the fullest sense of the word, or to know in the fullest sense of the word, through study. So no,I am a ChristianScientologist.

1) No God is not dreaming me, although I can dream god.

1a) The god (that is god with a small 'g') which is my true essence is dreaming Pip the personality (ego)

2) There is ultimately only God and his manifestations but He is not dreaming.

2b) The dream is error, but not God. Only the god in our dream can be dreaming.

2c) All dreams are error but God does not dream because He is perfect.

3) There is a difference between thinking we are one and knowing we are one. Ron says if we have a bad arm it is no good postulating a good arm. We need to recognise the original postulate was a good arm and the bad arm is a second postulate. To restore the arm to a good arm it is necessary to postulate a bad arm which will cause the second postulate to unmock and one will be left with the original good arm. The same would apply to Oneness verses separation.

These are my answers to your questions but I am posting the questions on A Course in Miracles website - [email protected] to see what that turns up.

Cheers
Pip
