Here's an interesting bit of archival trivia. . .

Once upon a time, it was highly unfashionable (considered "mean" by some) to post anything critical about Marty Rathbun. That's quite understandable, actually, considering that he was leading a kick-ass whistleblowing crusade (it seemed) against the COS (Crimewave of Scientology).

However, even though he was exposing all kinds of disgraceful secrets of the cult, there was always a very toxic thread that ran though the life and times (and posts) of Commander Rathbun:

--For example, he was very big indeed on censoring trashing anyone who disagreed with him--and even banning readers/comments that questioned his infallibility on all things Scientology.

--For example, despite having left the COS, Rathbun was still a "loyal officer" and "KSW" Scientologist who promoted the lunacy of Clear, OT, Xenu and other super-human clownery. No crime there, but it was telling that his (supposed) rapier-sharp analytical mind was fully unable to "rise above" Hubbard's incessant lying and absurd claims of "miraculous" OT powers.

--For example, Rathbun was not content with simply banning those with opinions other than his own (quite Hubbard-like, ain't it? lol), he felt compelled to "dead agent" them with vitriolic character assassination. That's when he reverted to the maturity of an adolescent schoolyard bully with taunts and name calling (in a Scientology way) where he would fire off a volley of Scientological "curses" like "1.1" (SP), "low toned"(SP), "hater" (SP) and "punk" (joking & degrading SP that "besmirches the good name of L. Ron Hubbard").​

Well, all rambling & ranting aside, let's get to the point of this post, shall we? LOL.

I am reposting something from "THE STUPID THREAD" from 6.5 years ago (January 2011) that did not receive even one comment. Not a LOL, not a "LIKE", not even a "WTF?". LOL.

78 months later, how times have changed. All those early-stage bizarre "volcanic eruptions" by Rathbun are now far more comprehensible, taken in context of Rathbun's fully erratic behavior in the past year. In other words, there were blaring "clues" of what was to come, if only anyone cared to look.

Jeez, will anyone just acknowledge me so I can stop ranting and post the damn thing already? LOL

So, anyways, now it's 2017 and I am still asking myself. What exactly was Rathbun's original "postulate" that he is having so many "wins" on these days? He seems quite "VGIs" and "uptone "about all this vicious Fair Gaming he has been doing of late.

What does it all mean?

Where is the clue?

Unless he is the "hater" and "1.1" that he has breathlessly been warning about all these years. . .that might explain it.

Lois Residorf was a senior messenger...Apollo days. Her son Brandon was spoken of in Attack Leah Remini by Rathbun video #2.
Brandon was a staff member at San Diego Org. (3rd generation, his grandparents were the founders of the biggest Scn outfit in South Africa...they are still in and long since disconnected from Lois and family) Brandon was co-erced to give $60,000 as a donation to the cult. As a Staff member ! This was for future debt, he did not have $$$.
With his brother Craig manipulated to disconnect from him, and now owing $60,000 and mind crushing 2 years of Objective processing ~~ 800 hours of it~~~~ Brandon had a meltdown.

In the meltdown, Brandon drove 2 hours from San Diego to Los Angeles and through a hammer through window of LA Day Org. Caught on camera, the cult made this the crime of the week and Brandon now has criminal record. "Vandalising a place of worship."

Marty tried to pin this on Mike Rinder in Video #2 of attacks on Leah and Mike.
Note how Marty omitted the $60,000 co-erced extortion and 800 hours of mind numbing objectives immediately prior to the hammer incident. The cult still is enjoying the $60,000 while pressing charges on him as a criminal. No refund of that !

So sorry but I am going to go on a bit of a rant here. I just listened to Marty's Part 2 and it is now personal for me! Brandon Reisdorf did NOT have any contact with Mike Rinder or Leah Remini prior to throwing the hammer! In fact, he was still being a scn'st even tho he had left prior to him having a breakdown - also fact, he had hardly read anything on the internet by that time and especially not Leah's book. When Gary and I started filming with A&E there was NO plan for Brandon to even be on the show - he was in recovery from his breakdown. It was MUCH later that he made the decision to be on the show and they filmed his part MUCH later.Marty also says he threw a brick thru the window intending to harm someone and that is also NOT true - it was done at 2am in the morning into the the front window on LA Org when NOBODY was there. I just needed to set the record straight and vent to you all.​

Two things are obvious. Marty is still wearing the same shirt. All the videos, so far, were made on the same day.

Marty is not the boss of these videos. Someone is giving him direction, and Marty is seeking approval from one or more persons behind the camera. He is subservient.

Someone else, not Marty, decided how long to work on the day these videos were made.

It would be interesting to see the outtakes.

Will Marty suddenly appear in a new shirt? If so, we'll know his boss said that's enough for one day, and that day two has commenced.


Sometime in 2015, Marty, it seems to me from my glancing observations of his blog, did move beyond Scientology and did move beyond defending Hubbard. He did, and undoubtedly still (now, privately) has a pretty good idea of what Hubbard was really doing and how he was doing it.

IMO, he had assembled enough pieces of the puzzle, or had encountered the puzzle pieces assembled by another, and could see the picture.

That's what makes this development particularly tragic.

I wonder what the go button is. Is it dirt on Marty? Is it a money carrot?

Just this one excerpt from his interview pretty much blows away his 20+ video's on "Going Clear" and dead-agents himself.

I think Marty's choosing of Lawrence Wright over yourself as part of the Troika was an error. Certainly you are more deserving.

I am poorly familiarized with the nuances of "paid advertising" on YouTube. Is this 100% confirmation that someone is PAYING CASH to advertise Marty's videos?

If you (or anyone) knows the inside story of how these things work, it would be great to learn more details before making too many assumptions.

Wondering if it is literally "PAID"--or, whether (existing) "credits" or "offsets" (i.e. not cash) could be used by a client (e.g. COS) to acquire those advertising impressions, banners, hyperlinks, et al.

If someone is in fact paying for ad placement to promote Herr Rathbun's (Goebbels-like) vicious "BIG LIE" propaganda videos, that would be an astonishing revelation!

I've neglected posting for months -- here's a quick post, because this thread is awesome.

As you've seen, this is a single, professional shoot that was edited into little bits. It's a 2 camera shoot, with the tired old bookcase and optional, post 1940s big houseplant. This is no laptop video. Notice how the bookshelf is slightly out of focus. This tells us that a good lens was used. An high definition lens like the Cannon Digi Super 100. It's so big and heavy, it takes 2 people to mount it on a camera.

Good focus, good back focus, good framing, and good nose room. Nose room is when the framing gives additional space in front of the face of the speaker (I can't call him the talent).

Decent hair and makeup, and lighting. Lighting is kinda cheesy -- not film quality, but still "professional".

As was said, he's looking at notes on his lap. I'd guess an iPad, because it can be updated with text remotely.

Marty, tell them you want a 50" confidence monitor on a stand in front of you. Also, you're crazy af.

Yes, the advertising costs money. Then again, since Google owns Youtube, perhaps the Church of Scientology is using the millions of dollars in advertising grants it receives from Google to promote Marty's videos?
