The Foundation for a Drug Free World – Africa has announced that retired boxer Phillip “Time Bomb” Ndou will be a new spokesman for the organization. Ndou is a native South African, and had a record of 36-4 with 33 knockouts as a professional. He never held a major world title, but held several minor belts as a featherweight and super featherweight. His 2003 fight against Floyd Mayweather, Jr. was for the WBC world lightweight title, not welterweight. Ndou suffered a technical knockout in that fight in the seventh round.
How can Boxing make a difference in the fight against drugs.
Today we had a meeting with a South African Boxer, the Champ, The Time Bomb, Phillip Ndou that has been in the ring with the Undisputed and Undefeated World Champion Floyd Mayweather in the Welter Weight division. What an amazing individual. He will soon be part of the Drug Free World team in Africa and Mr Ndou has a very big passion to ensure that the youth of Africa does not get involved in drugs.
