Shit, you mean I have to buy it. I'm so cheap these days since being in scientology, those suckers got too much TIME and money from me already.

OK, which one?

"Political tags - such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth - are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire."

Gib,

For only a few $ you can download a file there that has years of Heinlein's Correspondences, including all of of the Heinlein/El Ron correspondence. Just follow the instructions of how to select the particular download you want (the one with the L. Ron Hubbard Correspondence during the latter '40's).

I am a Heinlein fan and have read most all of his Works. My two personal favorites are, Stranger in a Strange Land and Job: A Comedy of Justice.

Ah, shucks.

Gawd help me, I do Love All You Ladies! I just can't he'p myself...It's kinda hardwired in my DNA or something. :nervous:

Now, before we get hitched, there's a few things you need to know 'bout Ole Face here::coolwink:

I like to...no...I love to watch Football, drink beer, belch, break wind and sometimes I leave the toilet seat up, throw my cloths on the floor and scratch me gonads. :melodramatic:

On the other hand...in all modesty...I'm a helluva cook, a world class masseuse, have impeccable personal hygiene, love long conversations and have the ancestoral male genetic "quirk".

Face:flowers:

PS: Thank you for your kind words regarding my Post.

Face, sorry it took so long to get back to you on this :coolwink: (been busy busy busy, :sadsigh:).

I am not sure what the ancestoral male genetic "quirk" you are refering to is, Face . . . Non-monogamus ????

All the other little traits you listed, IMHO, ARE the ancestral male genetic traits: the football watching, beer drinking, burbing/belching, farting, scratching in areas better left unmentioned, clothes on floor - and toilet seat up --- all = modus operandi of the human male species.

Ahem . . . . And we, as women, have learned to live with it all . . . That is one of our ancestral female genetic traits. It is in our DNA.

The non-monogamus thing, not so much. That is a deal breaker - while the others are not, though I had a sister-in-law, as a newly wed, go to her mom absolutely horrified with her hubby, once they were wed. He was displaying all of the above male traits. He never did any of it in front of her BEFORE the wedding. Her mom told her to get used to it, and explained about 'training a husband' on the traits that are not ok (like the toiltet seat up).

And just so ya know, women do some of that stuff too, just not in front of the male, if we can help it. That is in our DNA too . . . What?, Me fart? NEVER !

So you are still OK, ya know. You are still lovable . . .
:bighug:  :coolwink: You are still in the runnin' . . . .

Now the question is, am I? I am not listing my bad traits in public. That is in a woman's DNA too. Those things, like the male things, are better left in the closet until after the wedding . . . :omg: And we probably aren't going that far. :nervous::no::whistling:

Long distance love and hugs - to you.

 Golly, gosh, & gee Face. I'm jealous, all these ladies, share the wealth. (dirty old men need love too) (sadly, I qualify) Dare I say, none are as lonely as a "wounded" ex-SO member.

Unlike Face I only watch NASCAR ( I am a mechanic), sometimes 1 baseball game per year, (7th game World Series), and 1 football game per year, (SuperBowl/for the ads). I'm a lousy cook, but I keep myself fed, besides lots of Rock n' Roll I do like Big Band & on occasion classical. (Pls, no opera). Also unlike Face I alas am not an expert massuse, I am however a pretty good massure, <sorry Face, i just had to "git ya" on that one> and I always leave the seat up. (hey, if I can lift it up, you can put it down)

My current "occupation" is medical retiree, it has been a long slow climb from the depths of the body abuse/neglect that was instilled in me so many years ago. Even after years of being away from the chaos that still is Co$, the attitude of "intent"/"postulates'" and simply bull your way thru prevailed. Hard lesson was learning that as much as it is capable of this thing we have called a human body HAS its limits, needs proper care & mantaince and probably most neglected of all, granting of beingness. (proper sleep, proper food, balance of work, education, recreation & personal time) The "nice" thing that can be said for "advanced" years and the available retirement system is that, though one must be frugal, "survival" is possible and with Scio knowledge, planning, goals, targets are easier to work out, and with PROPER application of ethics tech, you DON'T beat yourself up for "failure".

Elron occasionally mentioned "irreducable minimum" when it came to doing certain jobs. I've alter-ised the internal drive to CLEAR THE PLANET, to "change the world". Now my neverending quest is to find a really, really, REALLY big diaper. Anybody out there want to help me in my quest???? C-Ya DC

Sounds good to me.:coolwink:

:hmmph:

Not at all.

Leaving aside the biologically necessary ones, all men do not possess these characteristics.

I have a personal social theory which holds that most women simply prefer these characteristics in their men as it provides them with ample fodder with which to entertain their friends, complain about their male companions, and seek sympathy for the hard lot of their married life. Get a group of women together and instantly the principle topic becomes trashing the men in their lives. Admittedly, though from some lights there is often much to trash.

Nonetheless ....

I went to my mom because my new wife was doing all those traits. Yes, I got used to it. Still working on the training part.

It looks like, for $3, you can get the bulk of the Hubbard-related material here: http://heinleinarchives.net/upload/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=884

Mine's almost finished downloading :-D

as long as you going to read those documents, which I have not read yet but will, here's another I landed on today, thanks to Arnie in one of his postings:

http://www.lermanet.com/exit/scottmayer.htm

I haven't read it all yet, but very interesting considering the new Indie movement and all, and new books coming out in 2013.

L5,

I'm on a walkabout for the Holiday and the Board's been down some so I’ve not been ignoring you.

The "quirk" is an ancestral male anatomical anomaly…if ya get my drift. :modest::coolwink:

I am, and have always been, steadfastly monogamous.

I am well aware that women do some stuff, too. :nervous:

I’m A OK with the crying, the primping, the nesting, the snuggle/hugging—with style, subtlety and sincerity that is all very attractive to me, and any man that says it doesn’t “stir his juices” is not being honest.

What wears on me is the “veiled” jealousy, “innocent” gossip, “masked” manipulation, “white” lies—I’m not gonna give my “Tale of Woe” here but I think all you Ladies know what I’m talkin’ about.

This may sound arrogant in the extreme but, I know that I am, off and on, sorta lovable. However, I am off and on, a bit of a rascal…just can’t he’p it.

So, are you still in the running? You betcha!

The real question here is, “Am I still in the race?” :confused2:

Gawd help me, I’ll probably never stop thinkin' about and chasin’ women. :duh:

“There ain’t nothin’ like a Dame…Nothin’ in the World.” :buzzin: Now, if I was gonna tell here in front of the whole World just why that is so for me it would probably start out Poetic and end up Pornographic.:omg:

My problems start when I catch them or, probably more accurately, when they’ve caught me.:melodramatic:

On a “serious note”: I’ve been married twice…for 10 years and 22 years. I had four wonderful children in those two marriages. My wives were most attractive, intelligent, witty, decent and faithful. They were exemplary mothers. I also had two “live with” relationships of 2 years and 3 years and they were also most attractive, intelligent, witty, decent and faithful. I’m a lucky, lucky man and after I faded from the scene none of my Exes were wanting for actively interested suitors. I am still in contact with and on very good terms with all of them. :)

I loved being married, a husband, a provider and a father and I loved the intimacy, commitment and honor of being a lovely and good woman’s man.

The pain of the divorces is of a singular nature that I am not willing to experience again. Nor am I willing to go through the separating of lives again with a woman I lived with, never took from and opened my heart to. :bigcry:

Also, I will not allow my relationship with a woman to come before my relationship with my children and if she’s gotta come “first”—Holidays, my Heart, my Final Will and Testament, etc.—she’s gonna lose and I’m gone. Sounds ugly, but that's just how it is...I've been through too much to acquiesce anymore.:p

Long distance hugs to youz twoz, L5.

You’re sure enough a Sweetheart, Darlin'.:batseyelashes::love8:

Oh, THAT male ancestral anomaly  :giggle: (if I got that right . . . ??)

And I think a parent SHOULD always put kids first. ALWAYS. And I'd be disappointed if ya did not do that, Face. In everything.

Me, I think I can be bitchy and bossy, though I do not want to be the boss. I am usually very easy going if I do not have to live with the person,. The minute someone gets bossy with me, or nasty, I give it right back, and that is not a good trait in a female partner . . . I do not like arrogance and/or superiority . . . .
Or men that scorn women by behaving arrogantly/superior. My head tilts down, my eyes narrow, and grow fierce - and - the bond breaks. It might take awhile for me to leave, after something like that, but once the bond is broken, I realize that it is over, whether I like it or not. :sadsigh: I can't get it back.

Well, I used to be like that . . . . I am older now. Or as the song says, I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now.

And I never want to go through heart-break and divorce ever again (either) - and so am not looking to go that road, ya know. And I have lived alone for long enough to now want to live my life for me, my way - like a man does most of his life. Only a man usually has a wife to clean up after / take care of him. :sadsigh: I have had to do it all for myself - - - for so long, that I no longer need a man, that way. :sadsigh: I do need a warm furry body in my bed though, so I have a cat, once had a dog (and never want to go through another loss like that one either).

As for those dark traits in women, that is our dark side - and we all have those traits. Tsk tsk. Sometimes they leak out. I like to think I can at least recognize it, and draw it back in when I am behaving badly. But I can be a bitch, yeah . . . I can give as good as I get, so most people who know me, don't want to take me on. Not that I am proud of that. Just one of those things. Arrogance in particular pisses me off, but so does superiority . . . Dissing . . . . So you can see how I might feel around scnos . . . . I used to be a (verbal) scrapper - take on all comers, especially bullies. Come on, you bully, come on in . . . . Took on a few soiciopaths, and that CURED me of that stupid stuff. :omg:

I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now . . . .

Now I just paint a fake smile across my face, zip my lips, and hope nothing leaks out. Especially my disgust. But I have a rubber face that shows ALL my emotions, and I am not a good liar. I am a terrible liar. Heart on sleeve.

As I age, I mellow out, get more observant, rather than 'participant'. I have always been fascinated by behaviors, human and animal. I like to watch. And to grow - psychologically, not bodily. Growing older does bring a sort of wisdom, I think, if one is open to looking honestly at one's own self, and recognizing one's own shit - and stops throwing it - at others. But it is hard. Hard to eat that crow. But very rewarding, I think. Life is a BIG anomaly. :coolwink:

 :blowkiss: Face

Oh, and BTW, Face, it could be argued that as long as you avoid active threesomes then pursuing multiple partners could be seen as a form of high frequency serial monogamy. :coolwink:

Not that I'm recommending that course of action, of course. :innocent:

Mark A. Baker :)

When I was in college I once had three dates in one day.

Act I: An early morning ride through the mountains on my Royal Enfield Interceptor motorcycle and then up the lifts and breakfast at the ski lodge (it was early Fall so no snow), a barefoot walk in an ice cold creek and a dash back down to take her home and get ready for Act II.

Act II: An afternoon spin around the countryside to a lake in my Datsun 2000 Roadster—top down of course—with a stop at a municipal general aviation airport to watch the planes land and take off, then a pick nick lunch in a rented row boat on the lake and a dash back through the hills and dales to get ready for Act III.

Act III: A drive into the city for dinner at a fabulous Italian restaurant, followed by center orchestra seats for an Elton John Concert during his first US Tour just after the release of his first album…UNFORGETTABLE!!!...followed by dessert & coffee at a French bistro and a leisurly drive home to get ready for Act IV.

Act IV: Arrived 10 minutes late for my Graveyard Shift unloading trucks and stocking shelves at a Supermarket...due to the fact that I just couldn't seem to get our "Goodnight Kiss" right and she patiently and selflessly coached me until I did.:eyeroll:

Ah, to be young again!

Whatta grand day!!! Heady stuff for an upper lower class lad a couple years off the farm.

BTW, there were a number of colleges in the area so I was in little peril of my little self-indulgent caper being discovered by the lovely young creatures as none of them went to my school, or the same school as each other.

I so enjoy reading all your words. You make me smile! :flowers:

I am so weary that I have few words of my own to offer. So I shall just indulge in your words instead.

Words! The great connector! I just LOVE them! :)

Words: they can trap, they can hurt, they can soothe, they can enlighten, they can do so many things. Today they are making me smile. :)
