MSH Why

She was removed in July 1981, a year and a half before (after much stalling) being sent to Federal prison for the commission of multiple felonies. She could have served a much longer sentence, as could have her cowardly husband.

A husband who had painted a bright red target on her back.

Usurped? You are saying that her power was usurped by David Miscavige.

If her power, and LRH Intention, had been usurped by David Miscavige, then why didn't she issue a statement? anyway?

After all, the future of Mankind, life throughout the universe, and everything depends on Scientology, right?

I want to say that I've enjoyed reading your posts, and that I agree with 99.9% of everything you've written re: the 'true motivations' of things. I did want to take my chance to throw in an observation re: Mrs. Hubbard, as I think it's a factor not often considered when trying to reconcile her position in it all.

And that is this: she may not have believed in Scientology, but it's highly likely that she believed - body and soul - in Hubbard.

Because the subject of Scientology itself is so often linked with Hubbard, it can sometimes be difficult to remember that someone could exist who cared not one whit for Scientology, but cared more than life itself for Hubbard, the husband.

I bring to bear, as a suggestion of credibility for my argument, this sobering consideration: if Hubbard could exert control of such depth and integration over people who'd never even met him - what kind of control could he exert over his wife?

This is a subject that's been studied in general outside the confines of a discussion on Scientology. When you have a dominant, destructive male in a power-imbalanced relationship with a female, you get unhealthy results. Worship can occur.

No one can know for sure, of course, but I think the argument can be made. Perhaps Mrs. Hubbard had only one, true cult - that of Mr. Hubbard himself, above and beyond Scientology. This would seem to me to be most amply and simply demonstrated by the action of placing her above the Guardian's Office. Her job, assigned by Hubbard, agreed upon by her, was - above all else - the defense of Mr. Hubbard. If so, I would guess that such defense would go beyond the mere 'legal' definition, but would extend to his name, reputation, and place in history. This would possibly give an explanation for the conundrums of her involvement and later complete lack of participation on any visible level, Scientology or otherwise.

Even accounting for a true belief on her part in Scientology, the above still plays a part in consideration of her state of mind. The depth of that 'true belief' in Scientology when combined with her unique relationship to Mr. Hubbard must have been quite different from anything experienced by anyone else involved in the subject of Scientology, past, present or future.

Conjecture, I know, but so much of this fascinating subject is, of necessity.

Mary Sue may have recognized that her removal would not have been possible without the approval of her husband and, after her initial surprise, submitted and complied. Similarly, her "erasure" from Scientology and Scientology history may have been her husband's wish, and there too she complied.

Her story is indeed a tragic one, starting with her becoming a student on the Dianetics course at the age of 19, then very quickly finding herself pregnant by, then married to, her guru.

Less than 15 years later, she was chosen, by her husband, to be the primary relay point for the application of a relentless stream of covert orders and plans from her husband, and the application of her husband's "Scientology Intelligence tech," both "Covert Data Collection" (spying, electronic surveillance, infiltration, break-ins, burglaries, etc.), and "Support Intelligence," with "Support" being a euphemism for attack or covert attack, with its own elaborate "tech" of "case officers," multiple covert channels of influence or attack, assumed guises, set ups, framings, "legal" harassment, money laundering, blackmail, etc.

I always assumed that she was viciously mentally battered by Hubbard, simply by reason of putting her in the crosshairs of his criminal campaigns. Then, indicted, incapacitated and disconnected for the safety of "Source", she ran directly into a second (wholly unexpected) psychological beatdown at the hands of Source Jr. (miscavige).

I always guessed that she took it because she was overwhelmed and had no other choice. And that she clutched a very faded, dog-earred copy of the Simon Bolivar PL as a wistful romantic notion of her plight.

The court disagreed, and they were legally divorced in 1951. If you consult the historic record, Hubbard makes continued references to Sara as his wife, and even dedicated the first edition of 'Science of Survival' to Alexis, his one year old red headed daughter.

It wasn't until later that the "official reality" became that he and Sara were never married, and that Alexis - to whom he paid not a penny in child support, and whose naive attempt to contact her father, years later, prompted this response from him http://www.forum.exscn.net/showpost.php?p=79110&postcount=23 - was not his daughter.

Mary Sue's health wasn't poor until the late 1990s, and the idea that she was held under house arrest for almost 20 years is absurd. Her silence was obtained with her compliance.

She was indicted in 1978 when Miscavige was 18 years old. To suggest that Miscavige was responsible her defense is absurd. Mary Sue, as her husband, was guilty as hell, and she deserved to serve jail time, as did her husband.

There could easily have been criminal charges brought, and there were Grand Juries convening, related to matters such as her, and her husband's, involvement in the criminal conspiracies against, and covert attacks on, author Paulette Cooper and mayor Gabe Cazares, amongst others.

These criminal prosecutions were derailed by civil court settlements.

Treason? Only in a warped Scientology "ethics" sense. To the lowly "wogs," what was done to Mary Sue was appropriate justice. The only injustice was that her husband had his wife take the rap entirely, and hid like a coward, taking no responsibility for his own actions.

Part of the nature of the subject and practice of Scientology involves having "boogeymen". The manipulation requires the concepts of some sort of "bad guy" - suppressive persons, PTSs, DBs, critics, enemies, etc. The notion of a great eternal WAR between GOOD and EVIL is vital to the charade. I don't doubt LRH knew that when he "created" his subject. The concepts of "good" and "bad" are KEY, just as they are in other modern religions of control. The good/bad dichotomy is a convenient tool to ensnare the minds of people. It is used to much success within the Church of Scientology.

And yes, I agree, the Church of Scientology has been CREATING enemies (since the very beginning), enemies that largely didn't exist, through their own actions of labeling people and groups as suppressives AND then by the ever-growing reaction caused by such consistently stupid behavior of fabricating previously non-existent enemies.

I was caused to review and realize something as a result of linking this thread to my posts on the "Gerry--Marty" thread . . .

The one thing I most regret and do feel sad about concerning my being involved in Scientology is the following sad fact.

In essence, it speaks to the absolute insanity of the whole Scn enterprise.

As you former insiders will know and as I was told by one this insanity affected; all the good folks who had any good and proper connection to me we hauled over the coals and sec-checked and "handled" near to bankruptcy as a result of having been connected to me.

Not their fault and not my fault: but the fault of an insane mentality in an insane organization that that FEARS mightily that which it does not have the wit to understand or appreciate.

Dr. William (Bill) Tutman, I took to Abu Dhabi on the assignment I did for the ruler's son. Bill was an audited NOTs completion like me.

As a result of the insanity noted above, it cost Bill approx $30,000 I am told for him to survive the sec-checking and other dramas as a result of his innocent connection to me.

And there were others . . .

But most grievous of all to me was the effect on the good people who were my various auditors . . . they were wrongly accused of missing my withholds and overts and crimes against the CofS (none of which actually existed to miss!) as one who plotted for the assassination of the Founder!!!!

That these insane individuals falsely accused me of their insane fears does not matter to me . . . it cost me some fortunes but, heh, I can make more than they can waste or ever conceive of earning.

What grieves me is that because of their insanity, good and innocent peoples were harmed, severely harmed. And all because of an organization bent on giving power to individuals who cannot think and who, because of their ineptitude, can only fear that which they cannot understand nor themselves be.

The tragedy of the idiocy of that is that all decent people who get involved with this cult truthfully do place themselves at danger . . . the culture of the cult is that anyone who has ever been CONNECTED to anything or anyone who, for whatever reason of false accusation or actuality is deemed by the cult to be a danger to its idiot thinking, then, by having been CONNECTED alone YOU ARE AT RISK.

This is the only organization I know of in civilized society that penalizes individuals for the reason of CONNECTION alone!

As to my “B1” activities, it also coincidently happened while I was “persona non grata” on org lines. I became aware of a security breach and threat and reported it to Mo Budlong, whom I knew, then in charge of B1 ops for GO WW. And he recruited me to work undercover with him for the church. Then, as things developed, it turned out the resources I had due to the business partnership with John Fairer-Smith, were enormously helpful to the church. I had become a member of The International Chiefs of Police Association, for example, etc., etc. I had extraordinary contacts and resources.

Needless to say, there are many tales, but not to be told for the moment, except to say that in the eyes of the Scientology field, I was a bad boy and “off lines” while at the same time receiving services at St. Hill under an alias name. Though I will say, that that kind of game is no picnic, and not what I wanted or would have chosen, but did it “for the greatest good” and based on the fact that I had found myself in a unique position to help the church with the resources developed.

In the middle of 1982, I was asked by a contact of mine to meet with Diana Hubbard at Flag.

The MSH Appeal was coming up, and Diana was sure that there had been violations on the part of the prosecution (either the FBI or the Attorneys General) during the bringing of the case against her mother. She was sure there had been illegal wire taps on either her mother or her attorney. The government, she said, “would do anything to get either her mother or her farther.”

Diana wanted me to do an assignment for her and her mother personally.

She wanted me to get the evidence, proof, that the prosecution had violated the law in its conducting of the case against her mother. That, she felt, would enable her mother to win her appeal case.

“Does the GO or anyone else know anything about this? That you’re taking this action? Are they doing anything?” I asked.

“No.” And she said it rather distastefully as she referred to the official lines of the church we were referring to. “They got her into this mess!”

“That suits,” I said. “I don’t need hassle and aggravation from those types while I’ve got my neck on the line doing this.”

As frankly, I was putting my neck on the line doing an investigation into the FBI and the prosecution of the MSH case . . . realize I was a foreign national on a visitor (Business) visa at the time. The last thing I needed in my life was to be thrown out of the US and told not to return.

The other thing I did not like about it was that I was going back “under cover” when I wanted to be open and operating as my true self.

Diana wanted to know how much it would cost. I told her I’d do it for free, just whatever expenses were incurred . . . probably an air fair or two, the hiring of a car, stuff like that. I’d do whatever I could to help MSH and her, as a gift to her and the family.

And so it was.

Well, much was learned. It was not good.

I won’t make this post too long with too many details, but the following is the essence.

For those of you familiar with the 1950’s-‘60’s tech volumes you will remember how LRH was very anti-communist. He’d also accused that they had tried to covertly take over “scientology,” and indeed the paranoia against communists was such that anyone with commie connections were barred from getting any services in the orgs. But of course, that ban was also extended to anyone having connections to any of the intelligence services of government after the 1963? first raid on the church in DC.

It turned out the “wonderful” attorney the church had hired to defend MSH, and who did the “betrayed deal” with the judge was the US’s head commie . . . the actual registered agent of and for Fidel Castro and the Cuban government in the USA. And the FBI did indeed have him under electronic and other surveillance, and for the very reasons of his connection to the communist scenario worldwide and probably, additionally, because his daughter has been indicted and awaiting trial as a leader of the Weather Underground domestic terrorist group who’d stuck up a Brink’s armored truck, killing the crew, to make off with the loot to finance their terrorist activities! She was, in due course, convicted.

Names: Leonard Boudin and daughter Kathy Boudin. Look them up on Google and Wikipedia. Would you have chosen such a gang to do anything for you?

My sources told me that even the choice of attorney by the church increased the government’s suspicion and angst against MSH and the church. That the choice really increased their angst against the church as the government, at the time, was waging a cold war against the commies and international terrorism, no?

But then, our org execs “know best!”

I’ll not get into all the false PR put out by the church on the issue of the 1977 FBI raids to secure documented evidence of church misdeeds and crimes. I spent a lot of time with the FBI chief who actually supervised the LA raid. His information is somewhat sobering as compared to the lies told by the church to its faithful.

But this tale is not about those things. It is about the subsequent efforts of the church against me, their attacks, lies and attempts to destroy me. And with the documents to demonstrate such, to follow.

One day, more will be said . . . it is all known and in the hands of certain others . . . This for my protection.

But some good folks, having been duped in days of yore, did things they now regret . . . and it would not be right for me to speak of them. Some of it criminal in nature.

In some senses, events cannot be spoken of till certain individuals have passed.

But as to the "security breach" that got me involved with the GO? Well, it was that, while I was off staff from London Org and awaiting my SO Final Court of Appeal (that cleared me), I became aware of a band of characters who were offering stolen Clearing Course materials among the Scn field in the UK. This was in 1968 (from memory).

I was offered the materials by an old staff member buddy, Frank Manly. I reported this breach to Mo Budlong at the GO WW.

Subsequent to that, John MacMaster surfaced (probably 1969-70) and was offering the auditing service of actually processing the CC materials on folks . . .

Well, remember, I had experienced the earlier 1962-3 own Goals GPM listing gig, along with the original implant running trick (1963, Helatrobus and all that parade) of having that shit run ON you by an auditor (with the auditor calling off the items!!!!) . . . and hence I know what a disaster that caper could be.

Again, Mo Budlong grabbed me to keep an eye on this scene and get the facts of who and what. Remember, these were the days when folks were entrusted with the keeping these materials secure and allowed to take them home to use them.

The breach of trust that violating the security of the materials was considered very severe . . . and we have seen posted here on ESMB Hubbard's first response of a Fair Game Order including use of R45 on the individuals involved: Frank Manly, and others I don't remember.

And, unfortunately, once I'd gone undercover, life became very different indeed.

Tomorrow I'll know whether my name is mentioned by a certain stellar researcher who has info regarding the early days in Oz . . . we'll see
