Re: The old days - Aboard the Apollo - 1973

It is interesting how the mind clears in certain situations.

I had that happen once. I came out of the experience knowing why most people do not remember past lives. Mostly the answer is, "Who gives a shit?"

"Ric Elias had a front-row seat on Flight 1549, the plane that crash-landed in the Hudson River in New York in January 2009. :omg: What went through his mind as the doomed plane went down? At TED, he tells his story publicly for the first time."

Re: A confront drill outside of C of S

On Sunday, I got a surprise call from a woman who I just barely knew. She is a friend of Edey's whom I met last year. She invited me to attend a spiritual event held in Diamond Bar. I drove up there and met her. There was music, food and then the lecturer, a guy named Alfonso De Rose. He is a very interesting chap, born in Italy and still young, looking like thirty-something. He is a handsome man and his English is nearly perfect, with only a slight accent.

His flyer says, The Master - Insight, Surrender, Infinite.

Alsfonso did not disappoint. He gave us 5 hours of lecture including having those of us in the audience doing drills.

A CONFRONT DRILL BETWEEN THE SEXES

The confront drills cames towards the end of the lecture.

His Version of OT TR 0 - He had a woman, Scorpia, come up along with a man from the audience and face each other and then close their eyes. He told the two to just be there and experience the other being. They did that for about 4 minutes.

His Version of TR 0 - He now had them open their eyes and look at each other's left eye and just be there. They were told to surrender their ego's and to just be there with the other person and attempt to see "God" in the other person.

This went on for up to 10 minutes. A total of 3 men were paired with Scorpia. On one of the men, one of the musicians, she was drawn to him and at the end she start to fall into the musicians arms but Alfonso caught her before she landed there.

After this, he had about 8 men and 8 women come up and face each other, he picked me to face a stunning young Latina women named Alma. We did the drill first with eyes closed and then with eyes open and spent about 10 minutes with our partner. Alfonso then asked the men to shift one woman to their right and do the drill with the next partner. This was carried out until we each had confronted 4 partners.

I was able to pretty much let go of everything and just confront the women. I was totally there for them with no ego or thoughts impinging on me. From all 4 of them, I got back similar results, they all were there for me, there did not seem to be any thinking going on or any emotions. It was a real enlightening experience. I saw God in every woman I faced.

Afterwards, Alfonso had us discuss our experiences. Some of the people were new to spiritual type activities but most were involved in spiritual studies. Some of the newer people had trouble just being there and letting go and allowing another being to enter there space. Alma spoke out. Apparently she had just been dumped by a boy friend or somesuch and was there to heal. She explained that it was very difficult for her to open her space to strange men and she almost started crying. It was odd because when I was drilling with her, I did not perceive any of those reactions in her space.

I enjoyed this activity and would like to go back for more. The entire gathering was very pleasurable.

Re: The old days - Aboard the Apollo - 1973

Lakey, I wish you well too.

Thanks to Rog and a small process he gave me, I look for the third party possibly causing trouble in some relationships where there shouldn't be any. What I found is that I seem to carry sometimes the third party around with me as case. I mean I've found that sometimes the individual I am having a conflict with is being "influenced".

23 years ago I was hanging around with Robert Ducharme, the R3X GPM guy. He is irrascible sometimes, hard to spend the day with. If I got angry he would giggle and then ask me to check "Who is it that feels that way?" Of course I'd just want to haul off and smack him but then I would actually be able to locate spacially where the animosity was located in my space and it would often lighten up.

Like you , I have often been perplexed at not getting what 'lesson' I should have learned from all the interpersonal drama with certain folks. Asking what I was supposed to learn from it all left me perplexed and still does. Sometimes I chalk it up to some people having an itch to scratch on certain issues. They send out an INVITATION as Johnny Raff is fond of saying. They extend an invitation to participate in the acting out of certain tissues. Sometimes I take a step back when one is sent my way and ask "If I were not available here...would this person still have a longing to act out this drama?" Sometimes its yes and sometimes no. It takes the introspection off of it for me. But also, if the answer is NO, then I try look at how I am responsible for contributing to the flare up.

Foti, I did not get until just now that you were in the video! Wowser. Pretty lady You !

I thank you Hats, FoTi and Trouble for your encouraging replies!!

Hats, you have a way of duplicating what someone has said and then citing experiences in your own life which have some similarity. This ability which you have is very endearing and really helps the above mentioned "someone" (in this case me) sort things out.

Yep, I see this experience with my brothers as some sort of life experience I decided to undergo to clean up some earlier non optimum behavior in the area "Family". Can a 3rd Party just be one's own Stupidity or Not Knowing?

I can tell you right now that part of the test is to have to choose between what one's Wife wants and what ones status of being a Brother demands. In this particular decision, I had my wife and my group on one side and my brother on the other. Add to that the fact that I perceived that my Wife included my Son as well and then the existence of the PTS data which I had bought into and I chose against my Brother.

I just had a new realization that by disconnecting from my own Brother, that caused me to go PTS! There was no free ride for doing such an act! Either way I was going to have a problem. It was a trap, a conundrum. Only the most skillful of handlings could possibly have saved the day. I was nowhere near aware enough to see what was actually going on and what part of my character was being tested. As was my custom, I went with the path of least resistance.

Yes, Trouble, I was a wimp. Not only did I react inadequately but I was not even aware that a major area of my character was being tested. Needless to say, if one is not even aware enough to know that he is being tested then he sure as hell is going to fail his test.

Thank you three people plus Sweetness and Light for being there. You all are the greatest!

My school chum that did the dissem drill on me that got me interested in Scn sent me a Disconnection Letter a few years after I left the SO. I had never been declared and was in good standing. He had had an “Ethics” handling the results of which, he announced, was that I was SP to him and that he was PTS to me and it was harming his progress up the "Bridge" and keeping his "gains" from being "stable". We had only had very sparse interaction with each other for over 12 years up to that time.

Several years after that he called me on the phone all gushy and said he was under "heavy restim" when he sent me the "Disconnection” letter and that he was sorry. I said that’s Okay, I had done some bad shit to others, too and I’m glad you’ve sorted things out for yourself.

He answered well actually, he was in the process of sorting a whole bunch of things out and he desperately needed to get another 6 Intensives and asked me to loan him the money. I declined, he got mad and hung up and I’ve never heard from him again.

Re: Seems I'm Right--Ozzies ARE happy People!

Lake . . . .

You're thinking and guessing again mate  And hazardous versions of such are particularly err, umm, hazardous:unsure: :nervous:

My comments on your comments below . . .

Just to hazard a wild assed guess, I would think that lower population density is a major contributor to the happiness of a population. Australia, about the size of the continental USA has 22.6 million people and the USA has well over 300 million. Do the math, people have more SPACE to live in Australia and New Zealand. Lower population density produces less congestion, less traffic, less pollutiion, etc.

You ain't been to today's Sydney with it's traffic jams  I was warned in the context of getting the 6-7 miles to the airport from downtown to plan well in advance for traffic snarls.

In the old days, it was merely "congested" at times.

Also . . . it would be interesting to know the truth of who they surveyed in Oz . . . I'll bet the preponderance of those surveyed were city types . . . . you any idea of the mileage involved in surveying the "cockies"? as we call them . . . . the farmers, or folks who live in "the country? It's mega mileage mate. The bulk of the Oz population live in the cities on the coast line.

Look at my sig line below . . . I tell the Yanks that that is the Ozzie attitude to life. In actuality, that is pretty correct. I grew up with it, but never quite noticed it till I traveled. Actually, living in the UK
tended to demonstrate it :melodramatic: sorry Paul and Terril :p

Living in the good ol' USofA confirmed it

It's the people and their attitude, mate. The environment merely facilitates it in the context that it doesn't bring them down, though it's also true the environment affords good recreation . . . . but err, um . . . don't the Yanks boast that?

This was a survey of people and their attitudes . . . not the why of the attitude :eyeroll:

lkwdblds said:
I know there is a reverse side to the coin and that would be lower randomity. In some densely populated countries people are still happy. The Netherlands and Swizerland are good examples. Probably the best example is Japan with 125 million people in an area smaller than California. Japan seems to work because the people have a strong national purpose. They believe they are exceptional people with a destiny and so they are.

Lower randomity?!? You've got to be joking mate! You ever surfed the Sydney surfs? Ozzies CREATE max randomity for FUN!

Who bloody else but a bunch of ballzie Ozzies pulled off the Senate and the earlier Melbourne inquiries?

Ozzies love and create ACTION! Though it is true the other side of that coin is that they sure a shit know how to relax and be lazy! But, hey . . . that's a talent!! Ever heard of people who can't relax?

lkwdblds said:
Again, just guessing, Australia has a lot going for it. There is low population density but still plenty of randomity. There is plenty of room to roam but also several large metropolitan centers offering all the glitz and high tech which this world has to offer. Not only that but their country is full of natural beauty, interesting animals and things that are not found in other parts of the world. I've never been there but would really like to experience it. Just the thought of a USA sized country with only 22.6 million inhabitants conjures up ideas of how much fun it would be to cavort, play around and explore in such a vast playground.

Well mate, some parts of Oz . . . the empty parts you refer to, are about as inviting and enjoyable and Death Valley, USA.

Stick with where the fun is . . . . I mean, look at that outrageous Opera House . . . . who else but the Ozzies would have gone for it and made such a statement . . . and pulled it off?

As I say . . . note my sig below

Coke never quite quenches a thirst either.

In the '50s we bought Coke in a 6.5 oz bottle. Later they bumped it up to 8 oz to keep up with the competition. Check out the size of the glasses in the commercial below. Now we have "Big Gulps." That one container would be more Coke than this kid had in a year during the '50s!

Okay, FoTi, you cleared it all up for me now! Thanks for your patience!

I believe there is a newer drive in called "Sonic" where there are waitresses and waiters on skates but I believe they now wear pants. The only time I went to one was last year when Lorinda and I wanted to get a cup of coffee on a Sunday evening and nothing was open. We tried the Sonic drive in and got our coffee.

The most popular item at the drive in restaurants was a "cherry coke". This is probably one of the most unhealthy concoctions ever served to the public, Coca Cola or Pepsi mixed with some cherry flavored syrup which was made with artificial chemicals, tasting and smelling like cherries. Teen agers can get away with drinking this crap and I tried the cherry coke a few times as a teen-ager.

Well, FoTi, if you can't afford to live in SoCal, you could come for a visit. What about that? There are many exes here for you to meet up with.
Lakey

You're welcome.

I've seen the Sonic commercials and they have Sonic here too, but I've never been to one. There's nothing there that I would eat or drink. Yuck.

Cherry Coke was my favorite back then at Bob's Big Boy. At home it was straight Coke from the green glass bottles....no cans. I loved Coke with buttered popcorn while watching TV in the evening and Coke with grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch or Coke with a balogna sandwich and Laura Scudders potato chips - those were my favorite summer lunches between swims in the pool, besides tuna sandwiches with Laura Scudders potato chips and pink lemonade - all of these sandwiches had to be on white bread....I hated whole wheat bread, and snacking on Cheese Nips all afternoon between dips in the pool. What a diet. It's a good thing my mother had good meals on the table for dinner. Cheerios with brown sugar for breakfast wasn't much nourishment either....but it sure tasted good. This diet didn't do my teeth any good, at all. When my braces came off, when I was around 14, the dentist found 16 cavities.

It would be fun to come to SoCal for a visit, but there's no way I can afford to do that either. No $

Beautiful post FoTi, one of your best! I have a personal opinion on the questions which you have posed as follows:

MY OPINION ON THE QUESTIONS FoTi POSED
When I plead "not knowing better" or "being too young to understand" or "being the victim of chance and bad luck" or anything passive such as these concepts, I tend to feel depressed, my head tends to fill with masses and I don't feel like doing much except for watching television or taking a nap.

If I take the attitude that I caused certain negative events in my life to occur, I start to perk up and feel better. It is really that simple!

FOR EVERYONE IN GENERAL - Everything that is real in our lives was either fully created by ourselves or agreed on by ourselves. When we agree to something, that constitutes a form of creation. This almost HAS TO BE TRUE. If it is not true then many strange and wacky concepts are enabled. The first of these is that we are reduced to "effect", the receipt of flows. Being "at effect" is a trait of matter. Matter exists and it is used by living organisms or lies dormant. A living organism can emit energy, waves and flows and can be both "cause" and "effect".

Going with the concepts that we are alive and that there is a non materialistic component in our beingness, a person can "do something about it". Upon realizing this, that person is immediately given hope. He/she is challenged to figure out where he/she went wrong and to figure out a means of doing something about it.

As a person proceeds to examine deeper and deeper how they are responsible and where and how they went wrong, they tend to feel more alive. Conditions tend to improve for them and they show it in their communication, their body language and what they radiate from their space. Others pick up on it and often they begin feeling more alive as well.

ARE WE ENGAGING IN SELF DELUSION?
Deciding that one is cause and therefore doing things to improve conditions could just be a placebo and/or self delusion. I very much doubt that! Everytime I, personally, accept responsibility as cause, I seem to get bigger and solve my problems and have an influence spread to help others solve theirs. I emerge happier and stronger. When I decide that something was not my fault but just arose because of bad luck or because I was too young to know better, I always exhibit less life force, my problem seems to persist and others in my environment become more hateful of me and more morose.

Even if this is a placebo effect and self delusion, I will still always choose the cause side of the equation. Its as if one took a pill for decades and every time he took it, his condition immediately improved. One day in his 40's he finds out that the pill was only a placebo and of no medical value; what is the person going to do now? He takes the pill one more time when the bad condition occurs and voila, his bad conditiion immediately improves. To me, what may or may not be a placebo has just become "technology". I have something that works for me and others in my environment 100% of the time over many decades. That is all the proof that I need of its validity!!!

Lakey, if I understand you correctly you are speaking of learning after the fact and taking responsibility for having been cause, no?

I was speaking of not being aware before the incident occurs.... getting into the wrong side of things because of not knowing what would occur and making the wrong move, not knowing it would end up in an undesirable result. In other words, how can we be expected to know in advance? If people already knew in advance what would occur, depending on the choices available, would they normally not take the one that would turn out better? Most people don't like egg on their face or to muck up their lives or the lives of those around them, and usually try to do what they think is best, don't they?

Another “Stellar” Scn “Product”.:coolwink::angry:

More Scientology "ethics" in action.

Lie to the SP and rip him off for as much as you can get - You don't have to pay him back, of course.

Naturally it didn't occur to the thick loser, that Scientology was the reason he had no money to buy more intensives.

Yes, ethics is another word the whole organisation should clay demo.
