Good Roads, Fair Weather. The reference is either POW or FOT. Don't make me remember this shit. Please.

Well I tried to prevent you from remembering by saying Good weather instead of Fair weather but you were too sharp and remembered it anyway. Just kidding:)

My bold. No, you're way off beam with this theory.

Okay, thanks for letting me know. What about board rules, did I break any. I tried not to but if did, I'm more than happy to have the post taken down.

I just think it is strange. Someone posts continually for months negative posts about CoS tech and then a critic comes and accuses that someone of being pro CoS. Surely, the critic has not read the persons posts. I don't think that can be denied, can it? If so then how can all parties be acting in good faith?

I just think it is strange. Someone posts continually for months negative posts about CoS tech and then a critic comes and accuses that someone of being pro CoS. Surely, the critic has not read the persons posts. I don't think that can be denied, can it? If so then how can all parties be acting in good faith?

I never said that. :duh: Look, I pointed out Carmelo-C02 is friends with Bob Adams, osabot veep of the cherch and Maria defended it. You folks have gone to pieces with conspiracy theories, adhoms, and generally nutty cult-think straw grasping wordclowning over me pointing what Carmelo admits. Of course if you want to befriend a $cientologist closely tied to an osabot then by all means do so but don't come crying to me over your lack of good judgement.

He either needs to retrain his tone scale drill or if not that, he may be using the drill correctly and it is the drill itself which is flawed. Take your pick, either way something is wrong!
There is just so much gobbledegook one should listen to and reply in a courteous manner. You either go to battle or put the guy on IGNORE. The trouble with going to battle is that it turns positive energy into bad energy and just saps and honest person's energy. CoS has no problem declaring someone unfit to talk to. why can't we afford ourselves the same luxury/

Here's where I think it's really at. The psycho's, extremists and bad hats know that decent and honest people tend to give others the benefit of the doubt. They know that we are soft hearted and are relying on this when attempting to take down a person or a thread. What we have to do in such a case is to go against our natural inclination of being kind and giving the benefit of the doubt. We either fight or we disconnect. Fighting saps our energy and turns positive energy to negative energy. The day comes when disconnection is necessary and on ESMB disconnection is easy, you just put the guy you want to disconnect from on IGNORE!
Lakey

FBM seems like a man with a covert mission. It is hard to figure out what he is up to and figure out what positions he is in favor of. I've tried to be fair and friendly but that has never worked. Either he is neutral or he attacks. There is no common ground, nothing we can agree on. I am thinking, why does this person come here every day to read something he doesn't like. I have no answer for that question. All I can do is assume that he has an agenda which he does not want known. Still he has a write to post here.

My policy is that if a person's reasons for posting are not clear and if they never give compliments to anyone, then just leave them alone unless they attack you. If they attack, then try and clean it up with them. If that is not possible then just put them on IGNORE.

Legitimate reasons for posting may be many things. Telling you own story in CoS, reading the stories of others, sharing experience, getting a chance to express yourself to the public, have some fun, promote a cause, hone you debating skills, make new friends. Those are some of the valid reasons for posting. There are other valid reasons. Invalid reasons exist too but they are often difficult to spot and then once spotted, they are difficult to diagnose.

A good debate can be stimulating and fun, you might learn something but debating someone who is here. for some agenda just saps your energy, you may even have physical reactions, sleep disorders, stomach disorders, headaches, etc.. The keys to spotting such people:

#1 - They never change, they never compliment you or agree with anything you say. As you say, Lotus, they are under 2.0.
#3 - They always criticize but they do not offer any constructive changes. They never come out and state a specific set of goals which they are promoting.
#3 - They use straw men to deflect your questions. No direct question is ever answered; your question is deflected to a non existant straw man and then they answer by attacking you.
#4 - You have no idea what this person's purpose is on this board or on the thread where they are attacking you.

Once, you find all four of these points active on a particular person, the best policy is to disconnect from them.
Lakey

Nice piece of writing Lotus, I like many of your points. One thing I don't totally agree on is your use of the word mission. It's true that if a person is lonely and wants to make friends on the Apollo thread you could say that his is on a mission to make friends. If we use this definition for what a mission is then I would agree entirely with your post.

However, I had a stronger version of the word mission in mind. Making friends or improving one's debating skills can be called missions but that is a bit of a stretch even though the word mission can be used in that way. To me, if a person's mission was really to make new friends or meet women or learn things or improve their debating skills, they would have no problem telling that to people. If you ask them why are you on ESMB, they will tell you.

The type of mission I am speaking about is a covert mission where the person is here for some reason that he does not want known. I am sorry, I should have said covert mission not just mission. It's not too late and I will go back and fix that. You are right and I was wrong by not saying covert mission.

Now a covert mission is usually espionage where the person is sent here by some employer or a military or governmental agency. To be effective, they have to conceal why they are hear from all the people in the area they are working in..

If covert mission is used instead of just mission then part of your conclusions do not work for me. I don't want to be patient with a military or paramilitary or espionage motivated individual who continually insults me. That is the man's job, to harass and weaken groups who his employer is against. I certainly am not saying that FMB is in that category. He may be or he may not be. I really don't now but he manifests all 4 of the traits which I wrote in my last post to you plus for no reason he was extremely insulting to me and my friends who post here so I choose to play things on the safe side and just cut off my communication with him.

Why show patience with a person working for a group who is dedicated to bring you down. I feel that being patient with that type of person is "stupid" and as I say in my last post, these types of people know that people such as my friends and myself tend to be easy going, trusting and softhearted. They know that and they think that is a major flaw in our make up and that soft heartedness is their entry point to take us down. As a result I will not be patient or tolerant with such people!!
Lakey
Such people, I don't know if FBM is one or not but I am going to err on the safe side, and take no chances with him and thus I will not be showing him any patience. If the world was rosy and happy go lucky and honest, I would have unlimited patience with all my potential enemies but this world is not that way and I am not extending my patients to everybody, only to those who I feel deserve it!
OLakey

If he thinks you are pro CoS Maria, it is pretty clear that he HAS NOT read any of your posts or blogs. I am starting to learn more about this class of poster. I see them not reading any posts themselves but having an aide or two culling posts, looking for keywords. Based on keywords some sort of generalized attack post is concocted blaming you for being pro CoS. The fact that you are not pro CoS, matters not to them; accuracy or stating the truth is of no interest to this type of poster. The less accurate the post, the more confusion it causes!

You will never see any specific sentence or concept in your post being cited and/or being criticized because no one involved in writing the attack postshas actually read your post. Somebody has skimmed many of your posts for key words and all future responses to you are made up from these key words, probably using some sort of template. If you research posts from this poster, you are likely to see that there are no specifics, tailored to respond directly to something which you recently wrote. Instead, what you find are generalized attacks about criticizing you for being something exactly the opposite of what you are trying to be.

This is all just conjecture on my part but I am pretty sure that I am on the right track with this theory. To see the obvious, that is what it takes to figure this type of garbage out! It isn't very pretty, and it is hard to confront ugliness of this magnitude. Sorry for the downer so now the good new, cheer up, a simple stroke of the IGNORE key will make this problem go away fast!

Actually I think he felt I was naive to befriend exes here who might have still-in friends or even still align with the tech although not the CoS. That, even if unintentional, in his opinion gave support to CoS. And my reply was that I wanted to support families and friends first. That the disconnect policy was not something I wanted to align myself with as a solution. The road to hell is paved with good intentions - my good intention is loyalty to friends. He may view that as leading to hell in a hand basket. I disagreed. I don't see how that (disconnection) helps the still-in person. If I misunderstood something, let me know.

Here's what he wrote for reference: Assumptive emotional positioning is what $cientologists do. Derp. That was Carmelo-C02 and he's Not an Ex, he's a $cientologist with a very unsavory friendship with OSA (Bob Adams). And the newbs deserve to know it for their own informed protection.

Speaking of zealots, you being the public relations representative for $cientologists, cult sympathizers and cult apologists on this thread is becoming a tad creepy.

He states that you are the public relations representative for Scientologists, cult sympathizers and cult apologists on this thread. Of course, that statement is false, you are simply a poster on this thread.

He's ascribing to you a PR representative function for those still in and those who sympathize and apologize for Scientologists. The scientologists are still in so they both support CoS itself and CoS tech. The sympathizers and apologists are out so they may not support CoS, since they left it, but they may still support CoS tech. It's really just a little different variation on the straw man technique.

You have no job as a PR rep for anyone but he creates a strawman (strawwoman?) by saying that you are the said PR Rep. Having created the strawman, he is able to connect you so that you are supporting CoS tech and/or CoS itself. With that false connection supposedly established (although no evidence is given to support that claim), he is now set up to make his final comments and conclusions.

I believe that he must not be aware that you have been writing negatively for 4 months about CoS tech and also about CoS itself to a lesser extent. If he is aware of that or if he isn't, he doesn't care one way or another. He still is going to insist that you are. Those are the facts. It is pretty hard to argue with them. What his game is and what he is attempting to accomplish is anyone's guess. To me it is clear that such a person is not just an average ex visiting the thread to participate in a friendly and honest discussion. If he is not doing that, he is doing something else. I tried to figure it out and was told that I was way off base. That is about as far as I am willing to go with this.

I think you may be mistaken in thinking that. I don't think there has been any such accusation made.

The real situation being addressed here is that Carmelo/CO2 once claimed to be good friends and currently "in communication with" Bob Adams (OSA PR and VP of CofS) and most here would obviously wonder "How is this even possible?". It makes little sense to anyone with real experience regarding current scientology. For all I know, Carmelo might be talking about a relationship from years past but, if so, he's never taken the time to clarify the situation and consequently left many people here with unanswered questions.

He's not obliged to answer these questions, of course, but in failing to do so he leaves people here with doubts and uncertainties... it's a Mystery Sandwich! :)

Always attack, never defend, bull bait, devise acceptable truths, drive enemies into apathy, blah blah, blah. It isn't working. lol. You have one hell of a cult hangover. Carmelo is friends with an official spokesperson of the cherch of $cientology, Bob Adams, osa trained v.p. of ABLE. Maria defended that friendship and the hubbardites here are defending her. Very odd indeed. You're spinning this so much you've had a mod warn you. I guess simple truth ain't your strong point.

I've never bought that Carmello (CO2) is or was the ESMB spook. If he was hiding the friendship (with Adams) I very much doubt he would have mentioned it here (lol) ... yet he did.

He spat the dummy (refused to play) when people suddenly demanded he "explain himself" a few years ago but I suspect the way he was asked had a lot to do with that, I probably would have reacted in a similar way, it was unpleasant and unfriendly, he knew he'd been judged (and sentenced) ... and there was little he could have said to change things.

FBM, are you aware that calling someone a "hubbardite" on a board devoted to exposing the mendacities and insanities of LRH and the CofS amounts to a severe insult?

If so, why do you keep using the term and without any attempt to justify it? Or saying whom you're referring to when you use the term and why?

It's not unusual for certain things to push people over the edge. I don't think anyone on ESMB would qualify as an actual Hubbardite! That being said, calling someone a hubbardite and/or scientologist seems to have become the insult of choice recently.

He's not obliged to answer these questions, of course, but in failing to do so he leaves people here with doubts and uncertainties... it's a Mystery Sandwich! :)

I see your points and they are valid and I thank you for pointing them out and thank you for saving me needless work running down an incorrect theory!
Carmelo was only in CoS for about 7 years, way back when, 1969 to 1976. He tells of knowing various people in rock bands at that time, Charlie Rush and Jeff Levin are two such individuals. Charlie went on to become a drummer in the Apollo Stars, a Hubbard created band aboard the Apollo. I knew both those guys when I was at CCLA, they are both exceptionally nice guys. Say Carmelo has stayed in touch with these two over the decades, so what? That in no way would make him a Hubbarditel

The exes who leave CoS are not required to disconnect from anybody. Carmelo or any other ex is no longer subject to CoS's disconnection policy He and his old buddies from the "69 to '76 period like each other. How does staying connected to them have anything whatsoever to do with showing that he is now an active Scientologist? That assertion is absurd.

The only one's breaking any rules are Rush and Levin themselves. They are still in CoS and if they choose to ignore CoS's disconnection policy in deference to their loyalty to Carmelo, they are the ones not following policy, not Carmelo. There's no doubt that Carmelo once knew Bob Adams and liked something that Adams did or said. So what? My same argument applies as in the case of Rush and Levin. Carmelo is no longer in CoS, he does not have to disconnect from Adams. If at one time Bob Adams did something he liked he may still like Adams for doing that particular thing. Why would he be expected to now disconnect from Adams. HE DOES NOT HAVE TO DISCONNECT FROM ANYBODY.

I know Carmelo personally and believe me, that man Carmichael in the video posted by FMB is not Carmelo. there is no similarity at all in their appearance or their voices!
Thus we have FBM labeling Carmelo as an active Scientologist on totally bogus grounds.

DEFLECTION In CoS policy, LRH says to never defend and always attack. Thus you see Scientologist always on the attack. People on this board often attack CoS but CoS, per their own policies must ALWAYS be the attacker. Therefore, CoS had to invent a technique to turn the tables on the parties who are attacking them That technique is called "deflection" Their technique is extremely simple, it consists of a One-Two Punch, often done in one or two sentences.

The technique they use is #1 Deflect the opponents attack #2 Discredit the opponent and either attack the opponent or set up a strawman to attack a friend or ally of their opponent. You see this One Two Punch being used repeatedly by several posters all over the Apollo thread.

In the case we are talking about, we have Maria, minding her own business and being a poster on this thread and next the following scenario takes place:

#1.Carmelo was demonized into being an active Scientologist. Evidence was presented to prove this but as I showed above. the evidence is completely bogus.
#2 Maria was given a title, Public Relations Director of Scientologists or those sympathetic to Scientology with Carrmelo supposedly being the said Scientologist.
#3 The fact that Maria had not disciplined Carmelo and was still supportive of him provided the basis for Maria to be attacked.

That is a classic example of the technique. The Deflection step was villifing Carmelo. In this step, all the attention is taken off of CoS and placed on Carmelo. Next, Maria is set up as the strawman, just by FBM saying that she was Public Relations Director of Scientologists, she became something which she is not. Now Maria is attacked because she is still supportive of the supposed active Scientologist Carmelo.

The fact that for four months, Maria posted against CoS tech and CoS itself is irrelevant. The operative is not going to address that because he is only allowed to attack. If someone tells him that for months she posted against CoS, he ignores them because if he answered them, he would be defending. LRH tech say to never defend, always attack. Truth counts for nothing in such cases, when truth is being addressed, CoS is forced to go on defense and when they do their defense is handled by professional attorneys. Local operatives never defend, they only attack.

One of the nice aspects of the Freezone is there is no mandatory price schedule.

Camelo, that is obviously good advice.

We need many many more field auditors or processors using what they know

at any level. Even a good Objectives auditor would better anything else

commonly available and make a decent living at it.

I can charge a prison guard in Ohio $15 an hour.

and

I can charge a USC professor $5K an hour.

and I have.

Robert Ducharme, in Florida can charge for auditing over the phone an eighth of what I get an hour as a general contractor in my neck of the woods.

We can all win, in our separate communities by charging a fair amount for the service rendered.

Poor people don't have to be gouged, and rich folk, who are going to make more money through increased havingness, don't get a cheap price that turns them into parasites

I liked the back and forth of this post. Reminds me of Carmelo (CO2) I have come to know.

I agree with Trouble that Carmelo (CO2) cannot be a spook. If he were a spook it would mean that CoS allows its spooks to set up shop in the FZ and deliver 'squirrel' services for years and years and years. Sort of like in the TV series "The Americans."

But what I mostly like about the posts at the link above is that it reminded me of something that happened recently.

A little while ago, and I hope he don't mind my mentioning it, CO2 was text messaging with me. Without my even realizing it, a little 'session' occurred. LOLOL. This 'session' had no standard start of session statement and no commands attributable to any Scn bridge process. As most here know, I am not interested in the tech or wins anyway. So when I realized something had happened, I laughed back at him and said, well, nothing as-ised but I did feel something 'shift'.

I can vouch that CO2 probably has the best style of auditing I have ever seen. But one very important point: whatever he was doing was and is completely out-tech by CoS standards. And he continues to do this sort of thing, a sort of self-designed spontaneous do what seems right as you go tech without meters or paper or video.

And why I am telling this tale? Well when I read the posts at the link (which continue on the next page with the benefits of metapsychology) I was reminded of that non-session by that very charming rascal CO2. FZ yes. CoS, that's just laughable.

And he has a quality that CoS does not teach, that is unconditional loyalty to friends. Friends who abandon friends when they disagree with whatever they believe are not friends in my book. Of course friends do take liberties, borrow coffee cups and so on - so I got an inadvertent session. And it was swell even though I didn't as-is anything. :happydance:And CO2 got away with that because I trust him and know he is who he says. I go for believing in an individual any day over believing in some 'abstract' rule or idea.

And, since after all it was my session I assume it's ok I shared the anecdote.

Anyone doing what CO2 does with tech in CO$ would be declared.

Some time ago a friend was butchered by an alledged class VIII. The only one
who offered to help was CO2. As unofficial Dof P I can attest that CO2 did a
bang up job and repaired a horrendous situation. The alledged class VIII
liked to start all new PCs with Ethics. I should say "ethics". This IMO was to assert
domination. She ended up trying to persuade a daughter to disconnect from
her mother, then asking a further £1600 for this privilege then split.

No, CO2 wouldn't do well in CO$ at all!
