Re: The old days - Aboard the Apollo - 1973

Okay, lkwie, have a seat, and I'll illuminate it for you. You tried for quite a while to get her interested in you, which she wasn't. You didn't like or accept that kind of free-will. So, you called her "fickle" ITT. That's being a dick. You wouldn't do anything differently, and that's being a blind, stubborn dick. If you want things to be different, please avail yourself to the nearest mirror. Or, quit complaining and explaining as if it didn't happen like that. It did. FFS, you even typed "broke it off". There was nothing to break off, so quit trying to write your fantasy as fact. That's being a deceitful dick. Are we good now?

You need to mind your own business and stay out of people's personal lives. I broke off a friendship you idiot, not a relationship. I did not call her fickle. I played an aria suggesting that Women in general are fickle and I did not do that until AFTER she left the thread! That aria is one of the most popular arias of all opera, Pieces that are played and enjoyed for 150 years of so, tend to have an element of truth in them or they wouldn't last. Neither Verdi nor his librettist was raked over the coals for writing that aria.

Maria contacted me first by PM, she asked me to watch a movie and then discus it with her by phone. i did so, we had several long phone calls, all 2 1/2 hours to 3 hours long. I started to develop some feelings for her. I an not ashamed of that, that is the behavior of a normal man. I asked her about a relationship and she wasn't interested. I accepted it.

She kept reaching for me. As friends, this was a two way street both friends reaching for one another. The more activities we did, the more I liked her as a friend. Of course, I hoped that she might change her mind about me but she made it very clear to not talk about that area and I honored her wishes. I did not break anything off. She cut off an activity we had embarked on last week, unilaterally on her own. Yesterday she unilaterally broke off posting on the Apollo thread.

I am willing to resume the activity we were doing last week, she is more than welcome to continue posting on the Apollo thread. I can't stop her even if I want to but if she want's to come back I am fine with that. I am totally over wanting any kind of 2d with her but I am still willing to be friends. She broke off with me in an activity we were doing last week and also broke of from posting on the Apollo thread. She's welcome to resume posting here if she likes or quit posting here if she likes.

It is just so annoying to have people such as yourself pry into my life and accuse me of various misdeeds. I am proud that she and I were friends. I am proud that I liked her, I am proud that I asked her up front if she would be interested in having a relationship with me. I am proud that I accepted her decision to just be friends. I am proud that in the back of my mind I still hoped that she might change her mind. I am proud that I no longer have any 2d aspirations for her. If I had it all to do over, I would do it exactly the exact same way and I am proud of that too.

I'm putting you on Ignore tonight, that will make 5 uninformed people who I no longer will have to read. There are so many uninformed, hateful people on ESMB that its becoming questionable as to whether or not its worth the time and effort to read all the shit like your post above. You know nothing and don't know what the hell you are talking about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by the lkwdblds

lkwdblds it is you who has made this thread about you, your personal life - it is extremely close to an autobiography !

HTF can anyone reading this thread NOT be in your personal life - this thread IS your personal life ( Well, except for those of us who are just into the J & D of it all )

Now, after all this, you ask someone to stay out of your personal life ?

Please tell me that was a joke, or, are you doing another "merlot night" of hilarity ?

PS, you called a fellow poster an idiot - you know better than that.

<><><><><><><><>

And I suspect if lkwdblds keeps going so damn far off the truth ( which he claims to value above all else - gag ) in regards to Maria she just might very well write the REALTRUTH & allow it to be posted here for all to see exactly WHAT went down & HOW it went down & WHY it went down.

Some people do keep track of the that highly valued 'time, place, form & event' when early on they smell a would be 'friend' wiggles like a snake.

Re: The old days - Aboard the Apollo - 1973

How about giving a break to Lakey ????
:wink2:

OK. I will. But IF he continues saying things that are UNTRUE about our fellow poster Maria ?

He is going to his chops busted.

He lays off Maria, he gets a break. He keeps on about her - he gets what he gets.

He claims to value TRUTH above all else - so he needs to start posting the truth or STFU.

BTW, I happen to believe love trumps truth by a long shot.

<><><><>

" What is true for you is true for you is true " Oh, I believe That !

The tree in my front yard is ( really ) a birch, but, to me, it is an elephant.

So, I run around saying "my" truth - " That is an elephant in my front yard " !

Am I "entitled" to believe that as MY truth ? OH HELL HUBBARD YES !

But, isn't it also insane ? C'mon, I pointing to a tree I claim in truth is an elephant.

Oh. someone is going to notice - sooner or later - "my" truth isn't true for anybody BUT me.

Should others slink away & let this tree pass for an elephant ? Yeah. so what.

When somebody starts posting " their truth" on a message board about a fellow poster who has said

they are gone from the board & these " truths " , uh, kindly, are a personal fantasy & not based in reality ?

Is the 'proper' thing to do give a 'break' - or allow the TRUTH to be seen ?

Is it a tough call - particularly when some one has said they will NOT BE HERE to defend themselves ?

My elephants are in the living room.

Nobody mentions them.

Ever.

Say what you will about the elephant in the room cliche', you haven't
had serious denial until you've had a floating hippopotamus on the beach.

Your cat avatar is awesome. And no, Maria will not spill the truth here. Too classy and kind. Me, not so much :)

Re: The old days - Aboard the Apollo - 1973

Trouble, you are so off the mark I barely know where to start to try and talk some sense into you. Maria checked out ESMB in late February and did not like any of the threads she read and was thinking of quitting ESMB until she stumbled on this thread. She loved it and she thought I was cool. She PMed me, we became friends from a distance. She was not unlucky and didn't just ended up landing here by mistake. She chose this thread as the base she wanted to operate from on ESMB.

As far as her quitting the thread, that was her choice. If Maria is uncomfortable with a situation, she leaves it, that seems to be her M.O. (Modus Operandi). She is a mature woman, extremely intelligent, and extremely knowledgeable. She is a woman of faith and has her faith to turn to so she is not alone. I was lucky to have her as a friend for 4 months, I have never had a friend quite like her and I will miss the friendship very much. It's her choice not mine but I respect her choice. The bottom line is that despite appearing to be very compatible back in March, it ends up that she and I are not compatible. We tend to come to loggerheads and yesterday was a perfect example of that.

Trouble, for what it is worth, I will never bring up our first disagreement and will no longer discuss yesterday's disagreements. I suggest that you PM her and let her know that you are concerned for her. I think that she would like that and would enjoy PMing with you.

With Maria, she is so intelligent, so knowledgeable and such a skilled writer, she really does not need the Apollo thread or me to help her get her message out. She is fully capable of doing that on her own as she has already shown with her own posts and her own blogs.

Lakey,

I've been warning people here since I joined myself not to get too caught up with ESMB's Freezoners because it will be doubly hard to get rid of them (and the scientology viewpoints they promote) later.

Getting rid of the cofs is quite hard enough.

Most people gradually change once they join ESMB and start to lose cultic thinking that they sometimes didn't even realise they still had and that's why Maria was unlucky to land (whether by accident or design) on this thread, because there are scientologists on it like you ... and you (just like cofs scientologists) don't seem to understand the concept of confidentiality or personal space and feel quite comfortable asking many questions, then later blabbing all often with your own confused slant added. It has annoyed many lovely, patient people over the years as well you know, because they've told you as they exited the thread, never to return.

Maria was excited when she arrived and enjoyed the Apollo thread but is free to go where she likes on the board and change her mind and opinions as often as she damn well likes and I'm glad that you seem to have accepted that and will be leaving her alone.

:)

Pretty funny, I gotta admit. :wink2:
I always thought this thread was just about life on the Apollo. :hmm:

I'm a good cat, but I tend to tell it like it is.

Oh, a disagree from lkwdblds. Go on and explain yourself. I suppose this has something to do with your being a dick and liar, and me pointing that out. Come on with it.
