I have a picture from 1938 which is similar.

I solved that dilemma by getting myself killed by a bullet... oh that was a bad mistake, I still pay for it.

.

I have a past life picture from Autumn of 1938 which is similar. My Father was uprooting our family from the Sudetenland in Czechoslovakia, just annexed by Nazi Germany. We were on the road alongside some train tracks with a large horse drawn wagon with all out belongings heading southeast. A Nazi officer stopped our family and asked my Dad for our papers and my Dad sassed him and gave him a hard time and though he had all the papers he would not readily turn them over. Finally, my Dad yelled an offensive term to the Nazi Officer, cursing Hitler or something like that and the Officer made a sweeping motion with his hand and up from an embankment at the side of the road, a squad of about 5 Nazi's with machine guns came up with their guns pointed at us, the word Fire was barked and that was the end of all of us. I was 13 years old then and responded to the name Mauvi, pronounced Mau Vee. There were perhaps 5 of us, Mom, Dad, a slightly older sister, myself and a much younger brother maybe 6 or 7. It was all over in a second, there was no pain but I was really angry with my Father. There was no need for this, our papers were all in order and all he had to do was show them but he had to be a smart ass! A perfectly good family annihilated for nothing!!!

I recently met some ESMB member who told me of a friend of theirs who likes something I like, say Hungarian cooking and say this person's name was Laslow. I post that I am going to have Hungarian with so and so and her friend Laslow next week and this person immediately notifies me that I have compromised their securtiy blanket. I had not the slightest idea that what I wrote about Laslow would compromise anyone's security. I am naive and do not see these things.

Victor Laslow?

The last time I saw him was when he flew out of Casablanca with his wife, Ilsa. That was the same day that Major Strasser was shot and killed. Captain Renault's police never did find his killer.

I've got a real trivial item here.

This is a trivial piece of trivia that nobody would know. I only know of it because my brother told me about it perhaps in the 60's. That Black pianist in the movie Casablanca was a co-star of the Buelah show on early 50's TV.

Buelah, I believe played by Hattie McDaniel starred in the show as an African American housekeeper for a white family in a 1950's sitcom. Her boyfriend, Bill Jackson was played by Doley Wilson who plays the piano in Casablanca. The story line cast Beulah as a very wise housekeeper who dispensed wisdom to the kind but scatterbrained white family. Bill Jackson, Beulah's boyfriend, would always arrive unanounced when Beulah was preparing a special meal or making a special cake for little Donny's birthday (Donny being the son of the white couple). Beulah would always be annoyed when Bill showed up unannounced and barge in while she was working and yell at him, "Bill Jackson, you get out of this kitchen!" Bill would retort in a stammering way, "But..but Beulah Baby..." The role on TV which Doley Wilson played was really a comedown from his memorable part in Casablanca. It says on Wikepedia that he quickly quit the role because it was too Uncle Tom. The radio show ran from 1945 to 1954 while the TV show ran from 1950 to 1953. Ethel Waters played Beulah for 2 years on TV.
I did not remember Doley's name and had to Google it, same for the exact dates of the show.

Well, I was Baron Von Münchhausen in a previous life! - Vivid and detailed recall of all that.. Impressive! Convincing! (I'm very good at mocking up!) - Alas, I've discovered that Baron Von Münchhausen was a fictional character and a lying SOB to boot!

Not good.. Hmmf..

Allright.. I did 'believe' once that I was a pilot during WW2.. Would have been the lifetime prior to this one.. I got the 'pictures' and 'recall' of that during the -one- 'session' I ever had that 'worked'. - Was a squirrel session with my freind 'the Big Oaf' auditing me without an e-meter or any training at all. We'd just been reading DMSMH really..

I 'regressed' to a death.. Because it looked likely to us that ther'd be an 'engram' and charge there.. So when 'the Big Oaf' clapped his hands I told him what I saw.

Vivid vision of a german fighterplane.. Burning and tumbling.. A big piece of wing smack dab in my face!

A couple of re-runs through the incident gave me the 'realization' that it was my own damned fault. I'd been pulling too many Gee's to get the kraut in my sights.. When I hit him, and his plane started disintegrating I eased on my yoke.. With the result that my turn radius grew wider of course. And I flew into the wreckage of the german plane.

The 'incident' became clearer and I recalled a rather startling situation of myself in midair without my trusty old Mosquito.. Or my body! - I didn't even get time to say 'shit!'.. Then a scene at the coast of France.. Somewhere with a rocky coastline and a road very close to the sea.. Because a couple in a car had stopped to look at the dogfight over the sea. I wanted to talk to the woman and say something, like: "Shit! I got shot down!" - But she couldn't hear me, or see me.

Then my freind got scared to continue.. He knew more about scientology than I did.. He knew it was an 'overt' and out ethics to audit me.. I didn't give a shit. I was annoyed to stop right when this was interesting.

Anyways.. I kept 'recalling' bits and pieces about it.. For a couple of weeks at least. I was aware that I probably was fantazising.. But some of the 'recall' had a 'quality' that was pretty convincing..

One thing that came up was a memory of starting the Mosquito up at a grassfield at Worchestershire.. The roar and vibration of the twin engines.. With this memory I strangely remembered that the place was pronounced 'wuster'..

Well, I've since been told, by a realiable source, that there was no 'Mossies' stationed at Worchester at any time during WW2..

So my 'recall' was false!

Damn! - That was so cool! - Having been a shithot fighterpilot...

But rationalizing another way.. I could easily have imagined in vivid detail all that shit about the aircraft and the dogfight. I did have a flying certificate in real life. I worked at a military airbase. Flying was my big interest and I'd read hundreds of books about WW2, and specifically the air war. As for 'recalling' being without my body.. Well, I'd read 'Diantics' and 'Have You Lived Before this Life'. There's material for a well constructed 'mock up'.

So my advice is: Retain a healthy doubt about past life recall!

I generally recommend doubt and skeptism.. They are a sign of a working mind and both are good for your mental health.

But reincarnation and past lifes are interesting..

Which is why the subject works so well for Scientology! - This stuff is most probably their primary marketing ploy! - It lures the marks in!

And that worries me every time I see past lifes being talked about like they were an established fact.

They are not!

Schwimmel - Not so fast, I checked out Worchestershire and Worchester on Google. You seem to use the terms interchangeably but Worcester also spelled Worchester is a City and Worchestershire is a County similar to Essex or Sussex. Looking up airfields of WWII, it says that the city of Worchester had one but it does not say whether or not it housed "Mossies." It is stated that the county of Worchestershire had seven active airfields in WWII and you can be sure that at least one of those seven handled "Mossies" The fact that you knew to pronounce it "Wuster" is supportive of a past life. I went to the East coast when I was 15 and pronounced the one in Massachusetts Wor-ces-ter one time and everyone broke out laughing at me. Now the county would be pronounced Wustershire like the steak sauce is pronounced. Your friend may have been refering to the City while perhaps your incident took place in the shire(county) of Worchester and not the City, that is the shire with 7 WWII airports.

I generally recommend doubt and skeptism.. They are a sign of a working
mind and both are good for your mental health.

Notice, my opening remark was only a claim that I had a picture, no more no less. I did not make any claims about the picture's authenticity This was a quiet clue that I do not totally know if reincarnation exists but you ddn't pick up on my clue so now I have to explain I just estimate a 70% chance of it being true. This percentage shifts from time to time.

I agree with you on being skeptical but my pictures are pretty convincing so I am putting the odds that my pictures are true at 70% true and 30% not true. I always say this on other threads but neglected it here because this thread is home to me. I feel a full 30% chance that the pictures are dub in's or someone else's pictures or from movies or TV shows I've seen.

But reincarnation and past lifes are interesting..

Which is why the subject works so well for Scientology! - This stuff is most probably their primary marketing ploy! - It lures the marks in!

And that worries me every time I see past lifes being talked about like they were an established fact.

I am with you that they are not a fully established fact. Thanks for your entertaining post!

We just moved up another notch in the Rankings

I just notice this thread moved up from 10th place all time in views to 9th place perhaps an hour ago. We now have 34,632 views compared to "Tech Outside of C of S success Stories" 34,606. In about 2 more days we should pass the Mike Rinder thread and move up to 8th most views. Three days ago we had about 32,800 so we get about 600 hits a day.

As to how many people have read the thread, the list is only viewable by the person who originated the thread so if anyone is interested, there are about 400 board members listed who have read it at least one time. However, a person can choose an option to not have their name show up on that list. Zinjifar, Alanzo and Vinnaire have all not only read this thread but have posted here and they don't show up at all so I am thinking that perhaps 100 people have opted not to be listed which would give about 500 board members who have read it at least once.

Then there are visitors and they do not ever get listed. The visitors viewing at any given time probably number about 2 1/2 times the board members. An estimate of the number of total viewers would therefore be 400 member viewers, 1000 visitors and 100 members lurking or about 1500 viewers total.

One famous viewer was Alan Walters, he read it only one time on March 11, 2009 about two weeks after the thread started. On that day there were only 4 or 5 pages and now there is 143 pages. Alan never returned to read it again.

I don't know if anyone finds this type of information interesting. Probably not. Some people think that to pay attention to these stats is bordering on insanity and yet I have always been attracted to keeping an eye on various stats and find them alive and interesting. If nothing else, they help me know if we are posting anything here which is attracting viewership.

My two stories, aboard the Apollo in 1973 and at CCLA were good for 6,700 views and that was reached at the end of October. We have added 28,000 views since then. In going for much over 10,000 views just one person's story of their Scn experience will not usually get you there, a bigger topic has to be tackled. The forum we are using here is sort of a newspaper or newsmagazine. We have our serious articles such as articles about tech, which correspond to the news and editorial sections of a newspapter paper and then have the rest of the paper, such as poetry, book reviews, jokes, personal anectdotes, comments about what is going on in the C of S, puzzles to solve, trivia to pursue and all that. Since I am only a class IV plus NED auditor, I leave the tech discussions to our "big guns" and stir up the pot for the other portions of the newspaper. The posts which you guys make here are consistently of very high quality and interest. I think thats the main reason our stats are moving so well. When I spot an interesting post, I always make an effort to achknowledge the writer of the post.

The highest ranked thread is the FCDC thread about the D.C. Org in the 1970's. They are at 94,000 views. I looked over there the other day to see what they were doing and it is mostly a bunch of one liners and jokes. There is nothing wrong with what they are doing but there is a large group of guys pushing that thread with light, one liner type of comments. I have not seen that they are really saying anything much of substance over there.

Geoff Levin, apparently dying

Around 1965 a band called People! made its debut in the San Jose, CA area (which is the south part of San Francisco Bay)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/People!#Band_members

In March of 1968, a member of the band saw a bumper sticker that said, "Ask me about Scientology, the Road to Total Freedom." The member was Geoff Levin.

Geoff led about twenty of us, band, family and friends into the counseling and courses of Scientology.

In 1968, People! became a one hit wonder with the release of "I Love You"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hU8h75G-LVE&feature=related

Within a few years, we were all Clear, and many of us had joined the Sea Org. Charlie Rush and Dan Auerbach, who appeared on the musically challenged "Power of Source" album were among us. Pete Grant appeared on some dead albums and live with The Dead, The Incredible String Band, The Palomino Club band to name a few. Robbie Levin played bass with Rick Springfield's original band. Al Ribisi went to work at Celebrity Centre. Denny Fridkin became a chiropractor, landscape gardener, 4 star chef, and author of a musical.

The guys all moved on. Geoff and David Campbell (Beck's dad) and Geoff Lewis (Juliette's dad) formed a band called "The Great American Entertainment Show." They played theater lines and Scientology events. They were unique.

They morphed into Celestial Navigations

http://www.celestialnavigations.com/

Meanwhile Geoff was authoring music for movies, commercials, TV shows, and building a music studio that has been busy for thirty years. He and Chris Many were partners for awhile.

About three years ago, Geoff and Lisa (Lisa London, casting director) got divorced. Geoff moved into a new house near Sunland at 9957 Wornom Ave., in Shadow Hills. The zip is 91040. He was very proud of his house.

But he was getting prostrate pains similar to ones his father had had. They were so intense, he couldn't go to work.

Now comes RUMOR and unattributed (because I can't name sources) stories.

He had a nervous breakdown. I don't know if this is true.

He stopped talking to his brother. This is true.

He stopped answering his phone, returning calls, and replying to e mails *** apparently with everyone except Lisa (his ex wife)

Word is that he hasn't seen his kids in over 6 months.

He sold his half of the music studio and is selling everything else (music related) too.

He is supposed to have a lot of money at Flag, and they have refused to audit him.

A friend says he has prostrate cancer. --Don't know this for sure.

____Went to see him yesterday. He wouldn't open the door more than a peek. He is emaciated and has a tremor going that he can't stop. He has lost a lot of weight.

He didn't want to talk to me, not because I'm suppressive - -I'm in good standing as far as I know. He didn't want to talk to me because I'm no longer active in Scientology. The test of political correctness has been expanded.

Whether he has a life threatening illness or he's just in mentally bad shape, I have no way of knowing. He's OT 7, so he should be cause over at least a couple BTs and Clusters, but who am I to say? I'm getting snide.

My friend is dying and I am angry at this cult / church / bozo group. I talked to Pam Lancaster, she didn't (as far as I know) raise a finger to help him. He's a robotic member of their fucking group, and they are just letting him die. He has spent plenty on the Co$. what's he get? ---bony fingers

Geoff's phone number is (818) 445-2507

His e mail is [email protected]

If you know him write him a note, call him -- he won't answer. I hope he reads and listens to messages, but I don't know.

or go visit him. See if you can get your foot in the door.

If you know any of his friends, see if they can reach him. Maybe he doesn't have to die alone. Maybe.

I've posted some pictures of the band, People! 's induction performance into the San Jose Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Thanks for reading this. Any help would be nice.

When I first got to CCLA around Oct of 1970 and routed onto the Dianetics Course there, two of the guys whom you mentioned, were on course with me, Geoff Levin and Bobby Shaffner. Geoff was already an OT V at the time and he was assigned to twin with me doing OT 0 Bullbaited. He did a really good job with it. I was "raw meat", never having been audited yet and really tripped out on OT 0 and bullbaited OT 0. I was supposed to get my Dianetic auditing and Jeff was chosen to audit me. We had one session only. I had a withhold I did not want to give up and it read while doing the ruds. Beginning Dianetic auditors did not have much skill in handling ruds, Geoff tried something by just going earlier / similar which did not work. He quickly ended off and recommended a higher classed auditor for me. We continued to be friendly and do TR's together. He was a nice guy, very mellow and friendly. I always went out of my way to say hello and chat a bit the whole 3 years I was at CCLA. Maybe I'll send him a message or leave a phone message. Wonder if he would remember me?

Bobby Shaffner was in a hippy valence. He was on the TR's course also. He wore these farm overalls which had a label, "Can't Bust "em" right on the front under one's chin. He had a full beard and very long hair. He was friendly as well. Later on in 1980, I took an Ethics Specialist course at ASHO and had to apprentice under Bobby who was was the Master at Arms (Ethics Officer). In this capacity he wore slacks, white shirt and tie and was clean shaven with a simple short haircut with a neat part down one side, the hippy valence was completely gone. I got to work in his office for periods of 3 hours and do filing or read stacks of materials or ethics files. I would listen to him handle people and he, like crusty old Margaret George at CCLA, was quite a character and quite good.

The people who came in were almost all there to talk about out 2 D's. I was amazed that the best looking young people in the Org were all having troubles finding a stable 2 D, both male and female. People who looked like super models or Brad Pitts were coming in and complaining about about being dumped on by their 2D's. A lot of the young women came onto to Bobby, maybe showing some cleavage or legs and letting him know in no uncertain terms that they would be available for him if he was interested. Bobby was all business and paid no attention at all to their gestures. One beautiful young woman about 20 came in in tears and was crying about her boyfriend dumping her for another girl and Bobby started talking to her and she just kept sobbing and talked over him. Bobby finally looked her in the eye and yelled out, "Will you shut up!!!" She shut up and he started giving her a handling. He told me it was important to match the tone level and go about one point higher. Bobby gave me some students to handle who were late to course. The first student who came in was a young lady about 26 or 27. When she sat down, she said she thought she knew me. I asked her how that was and she said that she was on staff at Denver Org in 1975 and that my Brother was a staff member there and he and I look a lot alike and that she thinks I came there to visit him. I told her I came for 2 weeks in 1975 to visit and it turns out we were introduced to each other at that time and just shook hands. Anyway, she was living in Seal Beach with her boyfriend and I was just a couple of miles away in Long Beach and she agreed to come over to my place to get some assist handlings and about 6 months later we got married.

Beer is proof!

IN HEAVEN THERE IS NO BEER
(Traditional)

Recorded by :
Brave Combo; Dr. Demento; The Dubliners; The Pogues.

In Heaven there is no beer
That's why we drink it here
And when we're all gone from here
Our friends will be drinking all the beer.

In Heaven there is no wine
So we drink till we feel fine
And when we leave this all behind
Our friends will be drinking all the wine.

In Heaven there is no fear
So we worry too much here
And we drink ourselves full of beer
To help us when we deal with the fear.

In Heaven there are no drugs
That's why we hang with thugs
And when the Lord pulls the plug
All the thugs will still be selling drugs, yeah.

Thugs and drugs
Beer...

In Heaven there is no sex
So let's do that next
And when our muscles no longer flex
Someone else will be having sex.

In Heaven there are no wars
Or cars, or movie stars
And when we no longer are
The world will probably still be having wars.

What the heck! Yeah!

Sex and war,
Bars and cars.
Drugs, thugs,
And delicious food.

I have a friend who says, "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy!" :D Heh!:p

I had a lovely pear cider last night, that was also proof for me!...:happydance:

I'll give you my take on smoking, for what you may make of it.

1st: There are several areas in the world where people have smoke for thousands of years with no significant cancer in their commuunities. South America being one such area. The tobacco in these areas all grows naturally with no chemical applications at all.

2nd: The rates of cancer increase in the western world match exactly the introduction of chemical fertilisers into agriculture. They match year by year, counrtry by country, intensity of application matching frequency of cancer. This is particularly true of the use of fertilisers in the growing of tobacco.

Don't ask me where I came across this data - it is too long ago now that I read it. But it was in a respectable publication.

Note that Alan was smoking "flavoured" cigars - this suggests not naturally grown and "treated" after harvest.

It is my belief - based on nothing more than suss that I came across during auditing, the villians in the piece are (a) the phosphorus content of super-phosphate fertilsers, and (b) the ability of the lungs to absorb this phophorus into the body in a more harmful way than the stomach can. Ergo, inhaling phophorus is much much worse than eating it.

For anti-scios to allege that auditing can cause cancer - hell if bad auditing can have such a huge impact on one then good auditing must do wonders indeed.

That's my view on it all.

That's my think.

I like this post. Leon looks deeper. That sounds like the name of a newspaper column. The Science Editor of the Christchurch Gazette's column - "Leon Looks Deeper" Seriously, when reading this, I just realized how powerful the media can be if people do not think criticly. I have heard for at least 40 years that smoking is bad and causes lung cancer. No one ever gives a reason why and then people just assume that tobacco is inherently toxic to the lungs without any explanation why. Looking deeper, using one's critical thinking skills seems to be almost a lost art now but that is exactly what Leon has done here isolating phospherous in certain chemical fertilizers to be a specific item whose introduction causes lung cancer to go up on a one to one basis.

This specific item is important for those who enjoy smoking plus those whose livings are made in the tobacco industry but even more important than the application in the field of tobacco is the concept of what Leon has introduced here, i.e. the concept of not just accepting broad generalities such as tobacco is toxic to human lungs but rather taking a deeper look at what specific tobacco's and wjy those. It is very refreshing to see initiative taken by someone in an area rife with fixed ideas introduced into society by various special interest groups and the media.

The companion topic about auditing being capable of causing cancer is just more of the same thing, more critical thinking. What type of auditing, what people are receiving it and then the clever switcheroo, well if bad auditing can lead to cancer, what about good auditing. If audting is so powerful that done poorly cancer can result, well then what if this powerful tool of auditing is handled expertly, wouldn't it not then be capable of producing amazing benefits.

Looking at commonly voiced beliefs in this manner, challenging their premises and taking deeper looks into their areas is really sort of like a process of exercising ones mind, own's perceptions and one's analytical abilities. This exercise is not done with heavy methodical thinking and deep interiorizing pondering but is done with light and effective looking plus applying critical thinking skills.

I thank Leon for this refreshing post. At first glance it looked kind of mundane to me, just some justification perhaps by a guy who likes smoking and wants to justify to himself that it is okay to smoke but upon further reflection I realized the true import of Leon's post as I have state above.

Geoff Levin and Pete Grant were at a rock concert somewhere in the 70s. Geoff pointed out a girl that looked like Pete. Geoff asked if he was going to go over and talk to her. Pete didn't miss a beat,"No way she's ugly, she looks like me."

Leon is on the Ball Here

Leon is on the ball with his post above.

There was a presentation made at the International Vegetarian Convention in 1965 (I was the Australasian delegate).

In essence, the research data presented showed that a group of tested food products grown in the conventional "factory farm" mono-agricultural methods had all the same cellular structure characteristics as human cancer cells.

Food products grown organically (without chemical fertilizers) had the same characteristics as healthy human cells.

I have posted in more detail on this else where.

Cigarettes, and flavored tobacco products are a real bitch. Brown and Williamson the major cigarette/tobacco company holds patents for the use of solvents used to carry/impart flavor into tobacco . . . . the solvent is toluene . . . a major nerve toxin and carcinogen. Of course this is "OK" and outside of the regulations, like cosmetics, at such products are not "consumed" :duh: (This point being why I mentioned the flavored cigar scenario of our friend Alan)

PROTECTING AGAINST A SECURITY RISK!!!!

Regarding Carmelo's recent post encouraging us to contact Geoff Levin, yes by all means, this is a good idea. Those of us who knew him, and compassionate people who did not but like to offer people support, i.e. people such as Sweetness and Light, should send their support to Geoff!

However, there is one small condition to observe. Please don't use Carmelo's real name, if you know it and say that you were sent by that name. Also do not even use the name Carmelo Orchard.

The best way to do it is to say that you heard about Geoff being ill through the grapevine or just say it came to your attention. If you are pressed for a specific name, use the name Pam Lancaster as the source of the information. Pam is still on staff at CCLA and has been there going on 40 years! This is a security measure which everyone would be extremely wise to use!
