Visit To the Hardware Store

So apparently my home state has just lifted the gay marriage embargo. So fresh off the judge's desk that it's not even on the news sites yet.

As far as I'm concerned these people need to visit the local hardware and buy

a bunch of Nuts and Bolts and use them as a Demo Kit to see how they fit together.

Two nuts or two bolts don't go together properly for a secure connection.

Refreshing and Rare

Lakey,

There's an old quote: "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me." Something worthwhile there if you can be light-hearted about it.

Actually, it's probably best to dump all "Shame, blame, and regret" if you're holding on to any wrt Hubbard while perhaps remaining willing to, ah, 'look closely' if he ever again invites you to 'play a game' or wants to become a player in one of yours.

It might be worthwhile to consider that he was, actually, a splendid 'trickster.' We generally don't know why he was playing that role (and we rarely let ourselves know why we helped him) but, gosh, he was so VERY good at it. I don't know about you, but for a while I had a ball playing that game! I've kept my eye out for something kinda similar ever since. Best years.... Ya know?

I don't recall whether "Trickster" is one of the major "Items" one hits on real or implanted GPMs or, really, whether there's anything to the GPM stuff. Haven't run it. But if I have to play that role one day, I hope I'm good at it. :)

And "he ruined a lot of peoples lives." Or did a lot of people use him and/or his game to ruin their own -- to do themselves in? Hard to know, really; can be looked at either way.

I do know that I've found it -- less than worthwhile to consider myself a victim. It just so rarely seems helpful. I think every time I've succumbed to that temptation, it has diminished me.

Some folks consider that you are a god. They consider that you always were a god, are one now, and can never be less than a god. From this perspective we are pretending to be human, that is, less than a god, because this is exactly the game we've chosen to play at this exact time. From this perspective, NOTHING happens TO you absent your prior -- agreement. Don't know (or won't let myself know) how real that is; but it's kinda cool.

Best,

G.

A Refreshing and somewhat RARE Viewpoint here.

In spite of all some Sanity is creeping into ESMB through the cracks.

The trickster archetype is fundamental in many cultures (and respected), but not in ours. Kind of interesting, that.

Deleting

Any one want to tell me how to delete a double post?

Just go to one of them and click on "Edit" at its bottom and then take out the printing with the backspace key.
Then add the words "deleted, double post".

"DullOldFart" had a better idea.

Sure hope ensirfer will "post-up" here in the lane with Us...looks to me like someone just stepped up that knows the court, worn out a few pair of "Chuck's", got some ball handling skills and can play.:coolwink:

Nope. Funny you should mention Daniel though... I was on the Class VIII course with him. He was a riot, super-tight jeans, an afro and frilly shirts. We all called him "Daniel's Dick".

Here's who I am:

I enjoyed reading your blog. Please, if you will be so kind, leave the link in your sig line so that I can continue to find and read your new posts there, as you continue to add to it, and you continue to post here.

"Me too!"

(Actually, I found the RSS link and added your blog to my Google Reader.)

Back in the day,
we used to say,
"If it isn't fun,
It isn't Scientology."

Now and then, it seems like the game we play is, "Who stole the fun?"

In this day and age, even though a nut and bolt may go together properly, they most often don't end up having a very secure connection.....once the threads get stripped, they just seem to fall apart rather easily.....poof....there went what was thought to be a secure connection. :bigcry: Just look around....you'll see loose nuts and bolts lying around all over the place that once, supposedly had a secure connection.

I suppose that's good.

As far as I am concerned the government should not be in the marriage business at all.

I agree on that. No tax benefits, immigration privileges, legal presumption of paternity, etc.. Marriage is a private social relationship between consenting adults, ergo government has no business setting any ground rules to it.

Child rearing on the other hand is a legitimate area for government legislation as the well-being of the little buggers is of great importance to the society as a whole. :)

Though on occasion, giving someone a good hard kick in the arse does qualify as being compassionate.

Disagree. It's an act of violence motivated by frustration and JUSTIFIED as "compasssion". See scientology for an effective synonym for "justification".

Violence perpetuates violence.

Luv ya, Blue! Your comments on one of my posts months ago is what started me on my “Reader’s Digest” Treatments that I still haven’t finished and has been a wonderful journey for me. You’re a sure enough fine, fine feller.

I’ve never been antago towards El Ron…ever. I think my posts re: El Ron show that I been callin’ ‘em as I saws ‘em and I’s still not sure what all ‘twas I saws. I think I’ve done a fairly good job of framing my "take". I've often been blunt and to the point...all y'all please refute my words whenever you see fit...I am but a "blind dog in a meat-house".

Your take is yours’, Blue, and that’s very okay with me. It's my opinion that, whatever you do pal, don’t protect, believe or bet your spiritual nuts on anything you hear from, or about, this being.

El Ron knows the content of my heart…I “Face to face” to told him…poured of Hisself’s back like like a duck stuck out in the rain.

If I had the ability to be in comm with “Great Personas”, I’d want to experience the presence of; Lao-Tzu, truly great Spirit; Gautama Buddha, truly great Soul; Albert Einstein, truly great Mind; Abraham Lincoln, truly great Heart; Socrates of Athens, truly great Gonads.

I am aware that all of my “want’ list folks are lacking when compared to El Ron—they're lacking in Ego.

I’m not trying to “put you on the spot”. You’re being honest and forthright and that’s good…that’s been good for all of Us…especially me.

Thank Ya Blue,

Face:)

For a long time I have been objecting to the dianetic principle of existence: Survive! I object because it is not the be-all, end-all stable datum for me and, apparently, many of my pc/clients. Survive! is a fine principle for a plant or animal body or organization. I assert that this kind of survival just motivates me only so far then it fails. At a very young age I looked at others working their butts off at a job they did not like, to buy a car, to get to the work they hated. Something about that just rubs me the wrong way.

There is another motivating force that is something else, not grounded in materialism. I have no word to describe it, perhaps, because no word can describe something so grounded in spirit. But it is easy for a spiritual being to discern. It comes to us as fantastic and even subtle moments of enlightenment. It is with us when we are on a right path, as Joseph Campbell would say, following one's bliss.

What is the other motivating force? It is spirit itself. It appears anywhere and everywhere. In sessions it has come to me as that sense that one's spiritual toilet has been flushed of ego, survival concerns, ill-will, and materialism. That flush brings about a genuine, persistent floating needle, an actual new realization about life, not just a reordering of priorities and perceptions (like a pretended "cog" to call off the process), and unmistakable good indicators, the type that attracts hap and spiritual teammates on similar paths.

From <http://montalk.net/matrix/157/spiritless-humans>:

Consequences of Lacking a Spirit

With the preceding in mind [text of article], consider what happens when someone has body, ego, and soul, but lacks spirit. First and foremost, their entire makeup would be the result of material influences like genetics and environment. The seat of their apparent intelligence would be the ego. And without the counterweight of spirit, their ego would reign king. Thus, in accordance with the function of ego, such people would be completely dedicated to material and social survival.

[Completely dedicated to "Survival!," as implied in DMSMH]

Notice that people with spirit who are awake to their spiritual impulses often make willful choices that serve no financial, social, or egotistic gains, that go against the expectations of Darwinian evolutionary principles, and that serve only spiritual ends. [Did hubbard or his church ever make a choice that served no financial, social, or egotistical gain? Probably not.] Such impulses are absent in spiritless people, thus they are truly optimized for survival in the physical world. Without conscience, empathy, or inner battle between ego and spirit holding them back, they can more quickly and easily succeed in their worldly environments regardless of the cost to others. [Here is a partial description of classic narcissism, very much hubbard.]

I found the hubbard books interesting enough even when I had my doubts. This is what got me started in my dianetic/scientology adventure -- reading, searching. The books, however, were not enough to hold me there. It was not enough to draw me into a church. I did not like churches.

Once I set foot in the door, the courses were not enough to captivate me. I had other plans for my life. I connected to the people, and not any people, but to specific ones. To this day, we are connected, by something intangible. Though we may not correspond in the physical world, we are nevertheless in a timeless correspondence of sorts.

What is that intangible yet very real something? It is spirit.

I think I sort of Grok where you are coming from on this Ted but my take on survive is a little different.

I think that survival means different things at different times in one’s spiritual existence. There is that animalistic or materialistic survival as it relates to the body – food, shelter etc. But, there is the “survival” instinct of the spirit which is a completely different kettle of fish.

My take is that the only thing that a spirit ever does continuously, consciously and subconsciously, is to create. Our “survival” is related to where we are at spiritually in relation to what we create and what we are creating that we cease to acknowledge cause of creation, on all flows. I would submit that the further we move away from knowing the truth of our and others creations, the more our spiritual survival is diminished.

Obviously, if we are immortal spiritual beings, survival used in the context of life and death, is relatively meaningless. Survival in the context of spiritual truth or awareness is in my opinion a valid concept and one that provides a yardstick to understanding the state of spiritual awareness.

What motivates a spirit is very different than what motivates a body. Being a spirit and having a body has it’s own challenges.

My view on the motivation of a spirit is creation and creation is the primary activity necessary to have any game at all. What that creation is will depend on the game that one is playing. One could view their spiritual survival in relation to how well they play the game – but I believe that to be a significant trap. I think spiritual survival is more to do with the state of awareness of self and the spiritual universe. If one were to be all knowing and all powerful, and then decided to not know in order to have a game, fair enough, but when one puts things on automaticity, alter-is the fact of those creations by assigning another cause or whatever, then to be trapped in the game because one no longer knows how to get out, then I would consider this to “lesson the survival” of that spirit.

So for me, the term survival has a sound basis of workability when either dealing in a material or spiritual universe.

Good, Ned. Glad to have your take on it for discussion.

So, what's happening with The Magic Thetan and his Chronicles? Did he get scared and run away? Is he blown for good? He made a big splash with some promises and split? I hate it when people do that. Seems like he just came here, stirred things up and then left. I don't see that he really had any genuine interest in sharing in the conversations here, or contributing his knowledge and experiences like most of the rest of the folks here do. It was disappointing. Kind of pissed me off.

IIRC, he said he was going to post an external link to his chronicles soon. Meanwhile, I believe he said he'd be off for a few days -- on a trip. Several folks agreed with his plan.

I find Blue's reports on LRH interesting. There have been a number of people over the years who have relayed messages which they say were from LRH. One was the Revenimus posts - I believe these were via Ralph Hilton. Another was through Mike somebody-or-other. Married to Virginia - that one. I found both of the above channels/messages to be very interesting indeed, judged purely by the quality of the info relayed.

I'm not going to try and coax Blue into revealing any more than he has to date - this is his own personal business - but I remain interested to know whether there was anything more substantial than these replies to some queries.
