It's o.k. to think differently...
It's o.k. Lakey, my viewpoints are out reality for a lot of people...I'm used to it!
If, upon passing, most of us are shown a life review of all of our thoughts deeds, feelings, actions and intentions (or lack therein), as I believe we experience as we enter the bardos, I think this impinges on most of us to a very great degree. No "other" punishment may be needed for us to want to take responsibility to reform ourselves and regenerate, and to heal. Maybe no higher or outside authority has to punish us for our misdeeds. Maybe all that is necessary is for Life to hold up a mirror to us of our innermost selves and our actions, or the effects of our actions. I do feel that we are basically good. Maybe we want to reform, change, grow, do and be better, all on our own. Maybe that is in our basic nature as beings.
I see lots of evidence that Ron was struggling with mental illness for much of his lifetime, so I feel compassion for him about that. Yes, some people are badly damaged, are sociopaths or psychopaths...I don't know what kind of reality they create for themselves. Ultimately, it doesn't seem good or pleasant or fulfilling, to me. Spiritual Life is consciousness, so maybe each of us creates his or her own heaven or hell (or prison planet, or lovely garden) out of their own conscious and consciousness. Just what I think, you are free to think otherwise.
However, what you say about if this impinged on me: "You know, Sweetness, if what you say is true, then C of S and Ron's tech would have no need to exist." My beliefs did seem to negate the NEED for COS and Ron's tech for me. I have to say that it did this for me even as a naive teeny-bopper hanging out at the local mission, which was a pretty interesting place at the time with four rock bands, folk singers, an open attitude to full on discussions of esoteric subjects, diversity and somewhat tolerant of "other practices", with a theta coffee house type atmosphere.
I was bulletproof where joining up with Scientology was concerned, couldn't be regged, couldn't be "ruined", etc. I am very humbly grateful for that, knowing what I know at this stage of my experience, of how it has hurt so many other good people.
I feel it was protection, maybe by my "spiritual teammates", or my own higher self, or???
I do believe in "kismet"...and think that those of us who value each others beingness would have encountered our friends some other way. Those of us who really enjoy playing with each other would have connected in other ways in the big playground of life. As I said, I'm an optimist!

Interesting twist. I heard about it before but never had enough data to even consider it.
), fortunately I did not have to pay for them to do so, thanks to a kind but disaffected Ex-Scientologist friend who loaned them for me to study.
