Why do you think the symbols are important?
I always felt kind of silly about using them and didn't see why they were necessary. :confused2:

Thje symbols are critical; I've never questioned it but in hindsight I have always used then and I am very effective with Reiki.

The masters MUST use the symbols while "attuning" the student. I have had four attunements, one was re-done due to an error in the symbols. During the attunement, all the symbols including the DaiKyoMyo are "drawn" repeatedly around the student in specific quadrants. The results of the attunements are really remarkable. They take only a few minutes but I always notice extreme changes in my senses afterward. Usually there is some kind of nervous manifestation involved: a shock of sorts, tingling, waves of pins and needles. Mystical stuff to be sure!

I was really sold on Reiki the day a relative gave me a treatment and due to my natural abilities and energy fields I almost caused him to pass out. He told me after the session that as soon as he started my treatment the room started spinning on him, more and more wildly until he lost his balance and almost fell. Funny, while he was giving me the treatment I was wondering what all the friggen noise was about and why he was dancing a little. It was explained to me later by a master that even he must be certain he is properly "grounded" while giving me a healing due to the intensity of my natural energy fields. Lol, he always called me "The Energy Sponge".

What is often intentionally overlooked is that the FUNDAMENTAL basis of ALL problems involving environmental considerations and degradation of living environments is overpopulation. Gridlock is not the result of "too many cars". It is the result of too many people vying for available transportation corridors. Similarly with other aspects of environmental degradation.

We seemed to have swapped our engineering and scientific culture for a reverence for the sperm meets the egg culture. The whole society is divvied up now according to this. Why the switch. Who does it benefit? (And I don't believe the bull about it being for the extra democratic votes )

The whole neighborhood has done a flip flop of real estate from an elderly base to the bigger low income families. I wondered WHO had an agenda for so many many bodies to be emmerging. Where are we going with reproduction with no futures provided or economic solvencies.
I think this is an intelligent universe. But what does it want? :confused2:
Maybe its reverse 80008. If too many have ascended to where they are no longer going along with the normal automaticites and are programming their own designs into the matrix, maybe the matrix is fighting back.... pumping in those who will contribute to the motion it intends.

Without ANY disagreement, may I ADD one other little look?

I've become a believer (deliberate playfulness with words), in running processes and incidents from other people's viewpoints.

Taking a mundane example:

Joe is frightened by a rock accidentally knocked loose by Karl. After running the charge off on Joe's end with Joe, have Joe run the incident from Karl's viewpoint.

This works just as easily with any F1-3 (flow one - other to self, flow two - self to other, flow three - others to others) creating in essence, 7 flows including F0 - self to self.

Long ago, I realized that we are all connected, and that running one side of an equation changed the other side. I've used "Hellos and OKs" for decades. This is an amazingly simple process that changes both your PC's universe, but also the terminal with whom you are running the process.

ie. Say "hello" to your Dad, and having your Dad say "hello" to you changes your universe and your Dad's universe too.

As a macro look to what I'm saying: when you see Clint Eastwood on the big screen, you live your life (for two hours) through Clint's eyes. call it empathy, call it the heaven's universe, we all like to view lives led through others' eyes. When that flow or (whatever you want to call it) gets fixed or ridged, charge is there.

I do a lot of Hellos and OKs too. It works miracles for dissolving or lightening up heavy masses I can get into restim. I'm Italian so I get overly reactionary at times.
I realized that when running the four flows in early Dianetics I was really breaking up clusters which had certain feelings and traumas in common. Ownership of vectors was supposed to just not come up. I mean if you were a butcher of stockyard animals you might have stuck to you life that was once a bovine and stuck to that life that had been mauled by some wild boar and stuck to that etc. A lot of viewpoints could be encapsulated in a hearty issue or mass you carry. I was surprised that running things from someone else's viewpoint who had a problem with me worked so well. The biggest cog was that sometimes the charge was part of their humanness but not necessarily the one 'in charge'. The person reacted differently after I ran things in a circular process but it did not seem to move them directly.
A woman may gain loads of weight after sexual abuse episodes but if you ask if she is doing it on purpose and scout for it, the person in charge probably thinks nope. Some associated intention is using it to solve a problem.

Yeah, point taken. We do have plenty of room for everyone. I was watching Michael Moore promote his new film. He was in Michigan I believe. He was giving an interview outside a theatre. The Arizona law was being brought up. And he was saying all you had to do was get in a car and drive from the east to out west to learn we are not in danger of having too many people because of immigration. But of course what causes dissent is that the schools are crowded, the highways, the hospitals, the prisons, the Social Security system...Its apples and crabapples being compared problemwise.

I love it, Believing is Seeing! I got some "TA" immediately upon reading that. It seems to me that some kind of process could be designed around the two phrases. "Believing is Seeing". and Seeing is "Believing".


LAKEY CONSTRUCTS A PROCESS -
You could run, "Give me an instance where Seeing is Believing."....once one does it, acknowledge and then ask, "Now give me an instance where Believing is Seeing." Run those repitively until one has a win, Then continue with, Give me ANOTHER instance where Seeing is Believing. and run that PAIRED. until the person blows out of his head. If the person becomes aware that he must first believe something before he can see it. Viola, the person has rehabilitated several OT abilities with that process. I might just run this on myself right now.

Roger, I hope you comment on this. Do you or Alan W. already have something like this in your bag of tricks? Ditto with Leon. I am not much of a tech guy but this process seems as if it could help big time in enhancing a person's abilities to me more OT like. at least in attitude if not in being able to demonstrate more OT like abilities but, more likely, in both.

I am not a tech go to guy so if this process is bullshit to you, don't worry about huritng my feelings, just say your piece and tell me were I am going wrong and how the process might screw someone up. Don't pull any punches.

I've had the attunements when I did the training. It seemed kind of silly to me then....kind of like kids playing a game and seemed like a bit of mumbo jumbo, at the time. My perceptions seemed to be a little bit clearer afterwards and I felt okay, but I didn't notice anything else. I have used the symbols myself, sometimes, feeling a little weird about it. I guess I just don't get why they are so important. Have you tried doing Reiki without using the symbols to see if there is any difference with or without using them?

Her name is Katie Kirkpatrick, 21 yrs old. Next to her is her fiance, Nick, 23.

This picture was taken prior to their wedding January 11th, 2005.

Katie has terminal cancer and spends hours in chemotherapy. Here Nick awaits while she finishes one of the sessions...

Even in pain and dealing with her organs shutting down, with the help of morphine, Katie took care of every single part of the wedding planning.

Her dress had to be adjusted several times due to Katie 's constant weight loss.

An expected guest was her oxygen tank. Katie had to use it during the ceremony and reception.

The other couple in this picture is Nick's parents, very emotional with the wedding and to see their son marrying the girl he fell in love when he was an adolescent.

In the middle of the party, Katie had to rest for a bit and catch her breath.
The pain does not allow her to stand for long period of time.

Katie died 5 days after her wedding. To see a fragile woman dress as bride with a beautiful smile makes you think.... happiness is always there within reach, no matter how long it lasts...... let's enjoy life. Life is too short.

Thanks for this Carmelo. I did "hello" to a body part and having the body part say "hello" to me, years ago, but I never throught about using it with people that I have known. Thanks to your post here, I tried it today....it works great.

You know, that "undercut" really indicates to me. I am going to try that out and do so before Roger comes along and says anything about the process and/or its undercut, assuming that he will do so.

When I hit the stone wall, which I did, I figured that an undercut process to unburden was needed but I did not want to attempt to conjure one up because I was afraid I would spin myself in. However, when I saw your proposed undercut process, it really indicated. Thanks a lot FoTi.

I am fliying so high in so many areas of my case, it is wonderful. Then I hit a block wall in a major area such as Being is Seeing and it is revealed to me where I need help to make my next case break through.

I am really applying the datum which Yvonne Jentzsch constantly gave to CC staff and that was to seek out people equal and higher toned to what you are, or equal to you or higher casewise or equal or higher to you in intelligence or knowledge of tech or whatever. I am doing this very heavily now and am finding it a very good piece of tech.

Here on the thread, I had this effect going with so many of you. It is almost impossible to name names because so many great people are left off of the list and I know what that feels like but just a couple of names deserve special mention and those are Roger, Face, Carmelo, Ted and Ethics Particle. Also, though grudgingly, I have to admit Leon as well, he knows his tech. I would say there are a good twenty other people whom I hold in special regard and then beyond that maybe another twenty whom I respect a lot.

Well, I have added Johnny now as a friend and we now have a personal comm line and just two days ago, Ken Urquhart's name came up on my Facebook saying we have many mutual freinds and that we might consider making friends. I sent Ken a friendship request and a letter telling him I was on the Apollo with him and he wrote back and we have each now written 4 private messages back and forth in just two days. You know he is a great lover of classical music.

With a base of 40 stars and super stars to communicate with and then adding the likes of The Magic Thetan and Ken Urquhart, one can't help but have a lot of theta rub off on them, which in turn runs one way, way up the various scales. Doing that and then having two beautiful children and access to great classical music, great popular music and a library of classic films, such as the Shawshank Redemption which I watched with my cousin last night, there are a lot of blessings to count and a lot of reason not to regret being stuck on planet Earth but instead exulting in how great a place Earth can be if one decides that it is a great place. Prison planet? Nah,.....no way, there has never been a prison where so many great things are available to people and where so many top people can communicate and exchange amongst one another.

I audited a former American bomber pilot from WW ll once. He was carrying around a small German city's worth of dead people that he had bombed. They were wrecking his life. We cleaned them up and sent them back into the life stream.

We are all our brothers' keepers. It behooves us to take care of our fellow humans and animals.

There was a time in 1995 at Alan's Dallas center, where I was about to audit a staff member. Before we walked into the auditing room, she was accosted by an older staff member (LW), and told what a horrible person she was.

While I was auditing this staff member, and we were taking up charged staff entanglements, the older woman's son, (EW) the master processor himself (not Alan), walked into the auditing room, and declared we couldn't be auditing in there. He made us leave that instant.

I took the staff member to my hotel and finished up the auditing, ending with with "hellos and OKs."

The next day, the older woman told my PC that she was a big being. and they lived more happily ever after.

Curious I am; when you have tried healing others (I assumed you have tried this), do the people you are giving Reiki to describe your hands as being warm or hot? I also assume that you do not actually touch the receiver, but hold your hands 1/2 inch or so away? :confused2:

I ask that because most of the people I give treatments to describe my hands as "very warm" or even "hot". Sometimes they are surprised at the "heat" and some mention it during treatment. LOL, sometimes, they even do a "WOAH!"

Yes, my hands get hot. I usually don't touch the body, but occasionally I might.....for example, I worked on a guy who twisted his knee and while he was laying on my table, I put one hand under his knee and the other hand on top of his knee...so in this instance, yes I touched the body.

Just yesterday and again today I was looking at all the times I had recently been INSPIRED and then had done nothing about it. I thought___ 'can inspiration eventually run out of your life'. Does it have a shelf life in your present existence. Isn't it selfish to just act impetuously on the spur of the moment and upset the apple cart. Isn't this irresponsible? I reflected this week on how I seldom acted on my inspiration. How I just put it on my list of things to do in the top drawer. Lately I look at inspiration as a gift. Not an indulgence to be bridled.

So....I reflected on my screenplay and my unfinished novelette, and my collages of poetry, and my illustrations for a children's book, and my fascination with working for Pixar, and the editing course I never gave myself the time to complete.
I know this for sure as of this week... Inspiration is the living lightning of life. It is a breath of divinity set into action. How many times have you laid in bed with no motivation to get up and then some 'idea' waxes you animated. Just like that.
When ya look at the Sistine Chapel isn't it obvious that Adam was an inspiration. God's inspiration. Eve was inspired by the thought of 'wisdom' from the apple. If Steven Spielberg or George Lucas weren't whimsical enough to act on inspiration.... what a dismal thought.
Last week I turned down something GRAND. Something that would've lead to an entirely different future than the one I am going to have now. I have noticed as of about 4 days ago, I do not possess the same 'aliveness'. My idea coulda carried me forward with a hundred tendrils grabbing for the connections I needed. I am sensing that I need to learn to trust in the magic. And I got the plane ticket!!

Today in Rancho Mirage, a longtime news anchor from San Francisco died. His name was Dave McElhatton. He did morning news on KCBS radio for 25 years and evening news on KPIX TV for another 25. He retired in 2000 at age 71.

Because he is so well loved, there are tributes aplenty.

One thing I found to be pretty neat was a little over a half hour of footage from the October 17, 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake during the beginning of the Giants / As World Series.

I was talking to a friend's wife on the phone, while watching the game coming on. She said that they were having an earthquake. I replied something, not thinking too much of it. Then it hit where I was. I got out of the house pretty darn fast. Large things were falling. I watched the lawn and the street ripple. Our cat, Muffy couldn't figure out where to run to.

As usual, when we're having an earthquake, my wife wasn't in town. She and the kids were in LA watching a soccer game.

Here is the video that San Francisco's channel 5 put out a few moments after the initial shake. I thought it was pretty fascinating. I hope you do too.

I think Kiwiland must be the only country in the world where you cvan go into a normal pub and ask the barmaid for a glass of piss and she will then serve you exactly that.

When I do have a beer I usually drink Stella Artois which is quite nice. But the Belgians are the supreme masters at brewing - they really know how to make a decent beer.
