FANTASTIC, Lakey!

Sometimes we have to just get out of the way and let life happen. Being totally in control as an individual was a hubbard thing. It sends beings off in the wrong, knuckle-headed direction. Good for his GI, bad for ours.

Also, if you don't put your helmet on and step onto the field you're not in the game.

No, I'd say the more common tendency among men is to regard women as objects to be possessed. Whereas women, at least in western cultures, use men to accent and assert their own identities, men don't similarly tend to assert their own identities through the women in their lives. Men, instead, tend to use women for various forms of gratification.

Such common tendencies arise from a predilection for thinking in terms of objects, bodies, and physical requirements.

Yes, I am cynical; but then a cynic is what an idealist calls a realist. :D

All aspects must be looked at in order to achieve a genuine understanding. Excessive focus on any single aspect or subset is indicative of a self-blocking on the part of the observer.

Mark A. Baker

There is a tendency among women to consider their status among their peers being determined by the perceived quality of the men in their lives. Women tend to be hypergamous, desiring the best-quality man they can find to be THEIR man and be the father of their children. This is one reason why many women get so insulted when a man they consider beneath them tries to ask them out -- the man is insulting them by presuming that HE might be the best they could do.

Men's status among their peers is determined less by the women in their lives and more by their accomplishments in life.

Enthetan, you have a series of top posts going!

Thanks Enthetan, you have a whole series of inciteful posts going!! I am finding them very helpful. Also, thanks to Ted, Face, Roger, Sweetness and others for being so supportive.

Some of our regulars are not posting, particularly Johnny. I believe the Free Zone Convention is just starting up in Washington this week and perhaps some of our regular posters are attending. It will be extremely interesting when we start getting feedback from up there and perhaps see some of the photos and videos.

On career changes late in life, Colonel Sanders and Grandma Moses are the two most obvious names. I believe Carmelo named some others in a post a month or two ago. Does anyone have names to add to the list?

Thanks Face. Appreciated.

re women - the way to handle them is very easy - just go belly-up and give them the impression they're in charge. Then just wait for the moment when they need a strong shoulder to cry on (it will come soon enough) and then be there for them.

They'll be your obedient slaves for life.:happydance::happydance:

FWIW, I do this often. I like to connect my connections. I enjoy being helpful and sociable.

Carmelo does this, too.

Anyone else?

I've been connecting people to auditors for a decade now. Also
in some cases connected up people who have lost touch with one another for decades.

By coincidence I don't get paid iether. :)

Actually, this is a very valuable ability to have and service to one's society to perform. Extremely valuable.

And for those who practice it, I hope you appreciate just how much true spiritual power it actually accrues to you :D

You might not have intended it to be so, but in actuality it empowers you

This because "relationships" and "connections or connectingness" is one of our key spiritual virtues and powers.

Which is a good, correct and proper thing to do all round: for self and for others.

I've found it very empowering, although that wasn't something I was seeking. I extended this idea into conflict resolution at times, and although
this made me unpopular in some quarters for a while, friendly relations were again established. This activity was even more empowering.

There is a school of thought that holds that over-reaching at a woman will cause her to withdraw, while acting a bit withdrawn and indifferent at times will cause her to reach. In other words, an attitude of "I like you, I think you're fun, but don't assume I can't find a replacement for you if I decide that hanging out with you is no fun any more". In my past, I've found this to work.

You will find a number of women rail against the above operating basis as being utterly false, but I adopt a system of "ignore what they say, watch what they do", and the above system appears to work in real life, in my personal experience.

Interesting.

A variant of the above is, "Treat a lady like a whore. Treat a whore like a lady."

Being very context dependent, these fixed ideas have limited workability.

Being old enough now to feel my hormones fading, and being able to recall the raging hormones of youth, I can say with certainty that hormone levels play a huge role in whatever philosophy one adopts, hormones being part of the context of the situation.

I agree that the operating basis is not universally applicable (as with most things like that). It seems to work enough of the time that it seems worthwhile to have as an option, to see if it works on the particular terminal, and either abandon (and try something else) if it doesn't work, or keep using if it does.

I also agree about the hormone levels. If what you want is just somebody to hang out with, then get somebody to hang out with.

Or, putting it differently: she chooses a man like she would choose a handbag, for style & status.

Well, on this subject of relationships :D

My sweet Virginia has a rather elegant little statement on her "clever ideas board" . . . it's a board to which she pastes "thoughts for the day" and stuff like that which she wants to be reminded of.

The statement is: "When wants are aligned, the energy then flows."

I think that trumps both hormones and "chemistry," and all the other cliches on what sparks what in the game

Women, or many of them, are born with an inate knowledge of how to use
"reach and withdraw". Or so it seems, it may be partially learnt.

A good thing. Men have so many advantages historically and even today.

makes for an interesting game. :)

2D, too hot to handle. Hubbard was right when he was steering clear of trying to regulate it in the early '60s.

In my experience, more intensives have been sold on most people to fix a 2D thing than to go OT. Good for the organizational GI, no?

Lamentations of a Loser

As a two time “loser” y’all can take my thoughts re: Women like a grain of salt.

Had the best of times and the worst of times in Love and Marriage.:happydance::bigcry:

God save me…I still love the Ladies.:melodramatic: As the lyric goes, “There aint nothin’ like a Dame, Nothin’ in the World...”:coolwink:

Flowers, perfume and jewelry never fail as long as they’re not too extravagant or “too much”…and figuring that out is as easy as understanding Einstein’s Theory of Relativity. Best thing to do is go with your “gut” and not your head or heart as to what is apropos. Timing is everything…sometimes for “no special reason” is the most perfect timing of all.

Consistency and dependability are huge; thoughtful surprises are magic and sudden shocks deadly.

Women, I have discovered, are like most normal folks…they appreciate attention and being listened to, getting sincere compliments about them, honest admiration for who they are and acknowledgement for their contributions and what they do.

Men “hear", but they don’t “listen”. Women “listen” but they don’t “hear”.

In a group, men tend to empathize with, gravitate towards and cater to whomever they deem as the boldest, strongest and leader and will tease and ridicule whom they deem as the frailest, weakest and supplicating. Women, in a group, will tend to do the opposite.

Men tend to be “Visual” and "Visceral" ; Women tend to be “Tactile” and "Verbal". A man wants to "Undress" her in a certain way; a women wants to “Dress” him in a certain way.

Holding on to her too hard will drive her away; never holding her will push her away.

Givers do best with givers and takers do best with takers. A giver and a taker together can last for years but, ultimately, won’t make it. Sometimes both and other times one or the other, usually the taker, will have "had enough”.

Worthwhile women care more about how thought full you are than how full your portfolio is. They also detest "Macho", "Brag" and "Showboat" and adore "Masculine", "Confident" and "Comfortable in Own skin".

Having similar levels of honesty and openness is very important.

The grace of chivalry is not dead; it's just gotten lost in the clutter of the culture of "Me, Mine and Money".

Any filly worth having requires a sure, steady hand. Any stud worth having requires a well fitted bit and a sense of humor.

The problem that many women have with men is that there aren't many out there amongst all the boys (at least that's what my quite lovely, very well educated, accomplished and still single daughters tell me). I have no idea what the problem is many men have with women 'cause every time I get a scab I can learn from, it gets opened again before it's had time to heal over.

Love ebbs and flows, so you better like her a whole lot if you’re looking for a fulfilling and lasting relationship 'cause she's not always gonna like you but she's gonna always "love" you.

Love does not conquer all things but, in the end, Love conquers all.

But, in the final analysis, WTF do I know anyway...I sure as Hell am confused.:confused2: But, I'm still in there "pitchin' and takin' my swings" and, God help me, trying to learn from takin' my "lumps". I guess I'm just a train wreck still headin' down the tracks. :eyeroll:

PS: Years ago I was at a dinner party given by a wonderful married couple that were very dear friends. They were lovely, gracious and dynamic and loving parents of three beautiful children. Sadly, both my friends passed on too soon but my life has been so enriched by their presence.

They were gracious entertainers. He was a first rate, very successful Farm and Ranch Real Estate Broker and had the most amazing and entertaining “gift of gab” and “disarming charm” of anyone I have ever known. She was the cutest, sweetest “country gal” you’d ever meet. We were celebrating a sizable “Deal” we had just done together and he was really “on”.

The meal was fabulous country comfort food and the finest libations, conversation and merriment were flowing. When my host and hostess went to the kitchen to serve desert I went to the restroom and, on my way there, passed by the kitchen. She was holding her arms around him, backs turned to me, saying, “Honey, I love you so much. I’m so proud of you. Please, please…just once in awhile…please treat me like a client. Okay?”

PPS: None of them are Sophia Loren but, alas, none of us are Gary Cooper, either.

To continue my story about the massage technique I use, I will pick it up the next day at the Dinner Party in Fullerton. Edey immediately demanded her treatment which I gave and then came Dave, a guy around 50. His case was very interesting as follows...

Dave had a car accident 6 weeks earlier which messed up the left side of the neck. Then on the right side of his neck, there was a smaller messed up area not due to the car accident. Last, he had a trigger middle finger on his left hand where the finger was curling up and he could not straighten it.

I had him do a date/locate on the car accident, massaged the neck for 10 minutes or so without much talking and then tried to pull up a picture from the car accident. I got a faint picture of a short scene of maybe 3 or 4 seconds, I told him what I saw and he started isaing about it and started blowing charge about it. I believe the other driver had taken a large bit of some drug before driving and as a result, he plowed into Dave. Dave was upset that the police only checked for alcohol abuse so this guy was not locked up by the police. I place my hand on the top of his head and found a point where a lot of discharge was occuring, I held it and let the energy run through me into the ground. I then went back and massage the neck another 10 minutes or so, and it seemed like it was almost back to normal. I then cleared up the pain on the other side of the neck plus the locked finger. I did date locates on those and then found some content relating to the incidents which occurred just before those pen started. When I was done in just less than an hour, the guy was like a new man.

After Edey and Dave, Franky, the host of the party and one of Edey's best male friends wanted a session. He gives some sort of massage oriented energy therapy himself out of an office he has in the courtyard of a luxury hotel in downtown Fullerton. M., who I massaged Saturday, comes in twice a week and works at his office.

I gave Franky a massage session and succesfully picked off several thoughts of his and handled his out of alignment neck and back with ease in less than 30 minutes. He was highly impressed and wanted to do his routine on me which he did. First he had me bend over at a table and then he dug his elbow into my lower back on the right and there was a pop and something went into place then he repeated that on the right with another pleasant pop. He then placed his hand around my torso and without touching me made many unusual motions. I started to wobble and loose my balance and got a bit of disorientation and sea sickness. The treatment took about 15 minutes and I felt more energetic. He said that he detected a weak prostate and thyroid function and that his would help those.

A NEW CAREER FOR LAKEY?
I then gave another guy a routine session and then two more people want sessions from me. I had done 4 Saturday night and 4 Sunday night so I told them I was done for the night. As I was getting ready to leave, Franky approached me and gave me his card. He offered to let me work at his downtown Fullerton office and said he and M. have a large clientel and he could flow me a lot of clients. He is charging between $75 to $90 for a 45 minute session plus $140 for a preliminary interview and session which takes two hours. I said that I would love to work with him and I am supposd to go to his office and meet him early this week and iron out a deal and see what kind of exchange he wants for promoting me.

Also, at the house where the dinner party was held, the husband was out of town and I was talking to the wife and noticed a fully remodeled kitchen which I commented on. I told her that I was a remodeler. She got all excited and said that her husband specialized in only kitchen cabinets and granite and that his business was booming since he was doing work mostly for hotels and not individual home owners. She said that he is frequently asked to recommend a contractor but doesn't know anyone. She asked for my card and said that he will start refering me. I told her, I would work out a compensation fee for any work which they sent my way. I was blown away by the two offers related to me getting more work, especially the thought of doing the massage and pyschic healing technology but then it would also be nice to rebuild my remodeling business as well. I could soon return to having a nice income and that would be fantastic. Both of these job offers relate back to me being connected to Edey so our soul mates with no romance agreement is bearing fruit!

This is great Lakey.

Made me very happy to read this.

Hurrah!!!

Bent Corydon and I are both on Facebook. One of us initiated a routine "Request to be Friends" and each wrote a reply, he to me and vice versa. In his reply he wrote to drop by if I am in his neighborhood. I got his phone number and called and we set a date for me to come out. I had sort of lost touch with Purple Haze and deicded to invite her to go with me because she had expressed that she want to meet Bent. Purple eagerly accepted my invitation and she drove down to Fullerton where we met and then I drove the 35 miles to Riverside.

DOWNTOWN RIVERSIDE, CA - Many of the cities in Southern California now have spectacular downtimes. Long Beach, Santa Monica, Glendale, Pasadena, even Fullerton and the city of Orange. Riverside has a downtown which does not take a back seat to any of these. If was more like a visit to a European City in Spain or Portugal.

Bent still owns the building which was once the gigantic Riverside Mission. It began life in 1909 as the YMCA in Riverside. This building is huge, taking the better part of a city block in width and about half that in depth and then there are three floors. It is enormous, he must have 75,000 sq ft under his roof.

After touring his building, he took us to the Mission Inn which is a classic Spanish Architecture hotel, originally built in the late 1800's. Many of our U.S. Presendents have stayed there. It is registered as a Historical Building in the U.S. Registry of such places. They were booked solid for lunch so we walked a couple of blocks away to a Cajun restaurant. While at lunch, we started talking and Bent did an excellent debrief of the highlights of his history. We were having such a great time that he offered to drive us out to Gold in Gilman Hot Springs. We went for a 22 mile trip and drove by Gold, turned around and came back.

We then went to Starbucks for coffee and spent another 1 and 1/2 hours talking about various experiences in Scientology. All 3 of us had anecdotes, some quite positvie and some quite negative. Bent was just beaming and was enjoying this as were Purple Haze and myself. I learned yet more information about C of S but I was asked to not publicize it so I will not. What I thought would be a 1 hour to 2 hour visit turned into a 5 hour pleasure fest. Bent is a remarkable guy and he has a line in to Ken Urquhart, Tory Magoo and our own Sweetness and Light but he needed more communication with ex Scientologists than what he has been getting. Purple and I were good listeners and helped him debrief and he was really enjoying our company. He learned a few new things he did not know from us. The visit lasted a full 5 hours. What a wonderful experience, what a wonderful man. He is one of the finest men that I have every met!! What an honor!!

Now THAT'S what I'm talkin 'bout! :D :happydance:

LOL at you guys cruising Int Base! :happydance: Very well done, Bent!!!

If only you had Anon masks and had stopped at the front gate guard shack, to throw the base into lockdown mode ...that would have thrown them into a tizzy! :nervous: I don't know what they are so afraid of...CI (counter intention) is VERY massy to them, I guess! :p

Isn't his building a sweet old thing, over a hundred years old! (I'll dredge up a picture for our readers here.) Glad you got a lovely tour of it and downtown Riverside, a fun place to be! :) Good food, great art and culture!

Good for you, Lakey and Purple Haze! I'm glad Bent was open to the visit and I'm sure it was a great one! Very well done, Lakey, for inviting Purple Haze along. Do not let that wonderful woman slip out of your life! You two are great uptone Exes for him to pal around with and show the highlights of beautiful downtown Riverside, and take a gander at the compound out at Gilman Hot Springs. You got the royal tour!!!

Bent is a wonderful man, with a very fine mind. I'm very proud to know him! So glad you all connected and had a great day together...I think this will help pave the way for us to have a fun reunion/gathering in Riverside some day! :happydance:

I think Exes heal much better and faster when in contact and communication with each other. It's so much better not to feel isolated. And in some ways, only one who has also "been there" can fully understand, on a deeper level than most well meaning friends can.

Hurrah for a fun day! :happydance:
