OK I wikipedia-ed it. The Roar of the Greasepaint__The Smell of the Crowd. 1964 Musical. Its Nina Simone's version that rings in my mind that seems to have played over the tv somewhere. ( 6 Feet Under ) I do like these old muscials and their soundtracks. My fav guy songwriter is Johnny Mercer hands down.:p

All those fiddle vids and the Joan Baez one (I used to have that album with "I Dreamed I Saw Joe Hill" on it) reminded me of my favorite favorite rocker. Bruce Springsteen. I could not get the best performance of this done in New Orleans after the disaster. But I can get a Camstudio video screen capture from my iTunes and upload it to YouTube. Me three...in some social circles, we folk are actually called "connectors". :D
Every job I EVER got in my entire life was because of my social capital, other people connecting me up with a job that needed ME. :D

By the way...there is a whole LOT of this going on in back channels here on the board! :thumbsup: One of it's many strengths! :clap:

My feeling is that we all have many potential soul mates...but that only some of us have the gusto to go out and encounter and experience them.

I guess I am a cowgirl worth her pork and beans, too! :)

For this old, high milage, banged up, scared up and too many times "rode hard and put up wet" cowpoke...so far so good. We've known each other for nearly 20 years (she taught my daughters) and had our first date 22 months ago. We both grew up "as Country as Dirt, Sweat and Dreams". We've been "Us, going forward together in this world" for 548 days. We're both "two time losers" but, like the Fools for Love we both are, energetically and hopefully pullin' the arm on the slot machine again.:thumbsup:

I never went into great detail about it with you but as you know I had a radical spiritual contretemps back in 1975. LOL at the clapped clanger! Let's all show some compassion for our brothers and sisters on the FCDC thread. When I learned mountaineering I was taught that it was very poor form to pass anyone on the trail without encouraging or helping them in some way...so let's throw out the lifeline in case any of their BT's ARE drowning in the Potomac! :thumbsup:

By the way, I saw a GREAT Superstars of Bellydance documentary last night! :thumbsup:

No, I don't recall you mentioning that.

My hair didn't go to Locks of Love. My hair isn't really red...if it was that color naturally, I wouldn't have cut it off. My own hair is a combination of blonde, silver and white. It was red because I put henna on it, which was supposed to wash out in a few weeks. Well, it never washed out and all the things that the manufacturer told me to use to try to get it out didn't work. I consulted a hairdresser and she said there was no way to get it out. It looked pretty stupid with part of it red and my own hair growing out and I didn't want to keep doing the henna because it was so messy and made my hair gummy, so my only alternative was to cut it off. I cut it as short as I could, but I still haven't got all the red out, so it's now strawberry blonde, since all of my hair is now tipped with about an inch of the left over henna. I was told Locks of Love only wants hair that has not been treated with anything, so all my long hair went in the trash.

After I cut it off I found out I could have made my hair just about the same color by making a kind of paste with instant tea and putting that in my hair and that does wash out. I also smelled strongly of tea with it on my hair. I didn't much care for that. Before trying the instant tea, I tried instant coffee. That worked too, except that I smelled like somebody left a pot of coffee on the stove for too long. I didn't like that either. I'm always experimenting and messing around with stuff. But, if I ever want to make my hair that color again temporarily, I can use instant tea.....or maybe I'll discover something better. :lol:

Now were you trying to point out that Anthony Newely was in that one Star Trek scene with Shatner where the guy looks like a song and dance man ...or were you saying he's not with us any more....I couldn't tell.
