Well, it's happened again! This time I was writing about Pepin and Lakey's comments and elaborating on GE and Thetan, drat...

In Chinese culture 10 signifies completion or wholeness. So I guess we have completed a cycle of some sort, somewhere...
Does everybody feel complete? Feel whole? I do, for the moment.

To Clearwater- I'm sure there are people here who can and will answer your questions...meanwhile, there are other threads which might hold many of the answers you are seeking, as well. Use the search feature on the board. Take a gander at Grundy's guide to Scientology, and check out the "Scientologese" glossary which is linked somewhere, it will be useful to you.
Just to get this concept~ there are different "types" of Scientologists who have different experiences. Public Scientologists are students (no matter their age) who pay thier own way up the bridge. (Take lots of classes and self-auditing to reach higher and higher levels of Scientology Certification. This is VERY expensive.) A few of these want to train to be Auditors (like counselors or ministers who work to help others), most just want to become more powerful over their own lives and circumstances.
There are people who can't afford to do so and so work on staff to get discounted training, but who often end up working for very little gain and making very slow progress up their own bridge, as they are working for the Scientology Organization full time and working a "wog" (ordinary) job as well to make ends meet. Some staff want to train to be Auditors, not everyone makes it, as they tend to get put into jobs where they are most needed by the organization.
Then there are people, (now who largely were born into Scientology) who join the Sea Organization, who sign a billion year contract to serve the COS their whole lives in return for room and board, medical care and training (which unfortunately is not alway provided to an adequate level by the COS). These are the folks who seem to be used and abused the most. At the upper reaches of the Sea Org are the executives or management who control all the money and lives in the COS.
Then we have several varieties of Independant and/or Free Zone Scientologists, people who are interested in continuing to study Scientology outside and "Free" from the COS. Some are organized into groups and some are largely working on their own. There is a whole section with threads here on the board where you can learm more about Freezone and Indy Scientologists, including vids of lectures, etc... Sometimes there are conferences and other gatherings, also.
The whole scene of COS has changed drastically over time, so folks who were in the SO twenty or thirty years ago had a very different experience from that which SO folks are having now. The rules have changed, etc. The tech has changed, the literature has changed. The whole enterprise has been in a constant state of flux, and now is trying to change to accomodate our more global society and the information age. It's harder now to control people's access to knowledge and learning than ever before, thanks to the Internet, and our ability to communicate more easily and cheaply with each other across the miles.
Much of the information you seek is here on this board, however it's like a treasure hunt to find it all. We call it threadsurfing! Have fun with it!
Hey- did I mention that we have several very talented and well trained Auditors here on this thread who can answer more "advanced" questions, like Lakey is asking Leon to elaborate on the concept of the nature of "genetic entities" in Scientology. So cool!
