I'm currently reading "Be Our Guest," Perfecting the Art of Customer Service 2001 by the Disney institute. for anyone who thinks the Harvard or Stanford B Schools know something or the green vols of Scientology are king, you should read this little book. I am getting so much real hard won organization knowledge. I am really smarter, and I didn't have to write this success story. If you have a company, I highly recommend this book.

Tell me about it. Any additional insights for customer relations just keep on commin too. 9:00 am every couple of months in any of the convention rooms of a hotel property of choice. Mandatory attendance for employees. Must be ready for the expectations of tomorrow! :wink2:

Wait, wait, wait a minute. :police: Is this an official CoS thing or an Ex's CoS thing? Is my hair color showing or did I not read that right? Maybe it's a little reach and withdraw gone terribly wrong. :confused2:

So sorry: but nothing at all to do with you. I liked what you said and segwayed into what was bothering me at the moment, to get it off my chest, and contribute to this amazing thread. I have no idea how to start a message on it's own = so I have to quote:duh: hope you survived my demo of A R and C backfiring on poor innocent me LOL :happydance:. Also, the CoS/ExCos trip is like a tiny flea to me = half the time they seem to be blood sucking, no matter what side they're on. I prefer evolution and long ago had gotten away from an 'only Hubbard is God' mentality. When you trace the origin of most of the concepts, they emanated from Jung, etc, including the use of the e-meter device, etc. Would love to have access to new terms...I believe ACW got closest to achieving that with his Knowledgism. :coolwink:

You start your own message by scrolling down to the bottom of the page and click on "Post reply", on the left. Then you can make your own message without quoting someone else.

And...what's that for? :confused2:

All of a sudden I'm not understanding the posts on this thread....am I on the wrong planet?

thanks, guys, here on this planet, the work week's almost up. Have been turning insanity into some palatable form of normalcy. We're succeeding with 5 steps forward for every 2 steps back now. Happy with any win at all.

To suddenly get tripped up by someone's egotistical tantrum, took me by surprise = easy to see how far out on the edge I have to get during the week, to help pull the other person back...It's week 7 and the reach back to me is much stronger and the holding on much tighter.

Hey, I love a challenge. Just realized I should treat this tripping up situation as just another form of insanity, with kindness and ultimate consideration. In my own home universe, you would not have gotten a rant from me, but a transmutation and deft handling of the persons aimed at. I kinda enjoyed getting nuts for a wee bit. LOL Thanks for bearing with me, worldly ones. :)

:pelvic: And she didn't hit that!!!
Integrity and principals are great but wasn't that the era to "love the one you're with"? :faceslap: Jim Morrison :cloud9:

I definitely agree with that: in retrospect I regretted not being a groupie. I tried so hard to be a hippie, but I always looked too straight, and was too innocent to be hip.:omg:

I'm okay with that

Purple Haze! HI! Use my silly text anytime. Really. I am honored.
This is the place to rant, unless of course you are pretty, bright, funny and amazing-in that case you are not welcome. :whistling:

FoTi -thanks for setting her straight but if I may, the woman who declined a tryst with Jim used MY silly text!!! Mine! :D

Carmello, My husband would kill me for this-If I had a daughter, I would have let her date you! True.

Thank you, but my wife would kill me if I took her out on a date.:)

in real life, except for my girl friend when I was 14 and she was 13 in 9th grade honors biology, my long term girl friends have all been older than me. But that girl is still a good friend.

Back when I was a little boy, I loved watching the steam trains racing up and down the Monterey Highway. The Southern Pacific Daylight was the most beautiful of them all. It traveled the west coast. I never rode it.

When our kids were little, we took them to Washington, D.C., Chicago, Seattle, Portland OR., and places in between by Amtrak. We had a wonderful time.

So now we have grandchildren. Tis week we took the two youngest to Disneyland by Amtrak on the Coast Starlight with a transfer in LA at Union Station onto Anaheim.

On the way down, we passed Elkhorn Slough and (in the background) the towers of PG&E's plant in Moss Landing.

At Vandenberg Air Force Base there are rocket launching towers everywhere.

We had a fifteen minute stop in Santa Barbara as the sun was already down.

Kim Thayil of Soundgarden was on the train with us. He was on his way to do Conan's show on Tuesday. I had taken our youngest child to see them and Pearl Jam at a Lollapalooza at Shoreline Amphetheater in the early 90s.

We left San Jose at 10 AM, got into Union Station, LA at 8:30 and into Anaheim at 11PM. The little boys had a great time running up and down the double decker cars and back and forth the length of the train. They loved opening the air operated doors. they slept for two and a half hours in the upper bunk. They were tired out, but happy when we got to our destination.
