Good to know that you like my darkened hair. Sweet and Evy are the only dissenters so far. How about a phone call to my land line from Canada. Don't they have discount rates in the evenings or there is also Skype which is free. If you want to talk by Skype, that would work. I think I emailed you my Skype number when we first met but if not, I can do it again.
BEING FRIENDS WITH ATTRACTIVE WOMEN This latest phase of life for me is centering about being friends with various extremely attractive women. I am starting to go into the friendship not expecting anything but friendship. i.e. no romance. I am accepted by the women and my friendship seems to become something important in their lives. We hang out together and talk about anything and everything having to do with our lives. Nothing is off the table as regards discussion!
Going through this process now with 5 different women, each experience is tending to "complete" me as a spiritual being. I learn something major from each woman, a new way of looking at things or a new sense of what that woman aspires to in life and how that is similar or different to what I or male friends aspire to in life.
Yesterday, my dear friend Lorinda and I were going to go see that new Russel Crowe movie that recently came out and then we were going to go to her place and watch Act I of Mozart's opera, "The Magic Flute", the 1975 Swedish version directed by Ingmar Bergman. We were also going to do lunch at Mothers, a local health food chain. About 11:30, she texted me and simply stated that her energy was down, she needed to be by herself the entire day and that we would have to take a raincheck on everything. I called her to tell her I understood but she wouldn't even take my call but just let it go to voicemail. This woman is healing from some very serious occurances in her past and if I want her to be my friend, I have to accept being cancelled out when she is not up to "playing" as she put it. As a younger man, I would have just dropped her and moved on but today's version of me felt disappointment in the pit of my stomach (which is undoubtedly case being manifested) and then I resolved to wait a bit until she is feeling better.
I am not a loser in any way. I am currently her closest friend. She will call me to reschedule in a day or two or three. If I were to do a rant and show rage at being cancelled, it would have disasterous effects on her healing process. If I pulled out of the friendship, she would be in a terrible condition. I've gone so far now in this game of helping her to heal that I have the responsibility to stay with our friendship no matter what happpens.
MY PARTY - Three more people have indicated they are coming, Julie Belmont, the artist we know down in Santa Ana will come by the restaurant and visit with us and eat something prior to going back to downtown Santa Ana and displaing her art works. Also, my daughter promised to attend. Also, I told Joan to invite her brother Ralph, who lives in O.C. to come to the party. We have invited 20 people and want to cap it right there.
I finally know the ins and outs of posting pictures on the internet and am so excited about this party. All my best friends are attending. I am drawing from 4 sectors of my life: #1 is family, my dughter, my ex wife, and her boyfriend, two first cousins with spouses. #2 Ex Scios, Candy,
Johnny,. #3 Intuitives - Edey, Lorinda, Kadriya and many of Edey's friends including her new boyfriend and her Fullerton circle of friends, #4 old friends of mine from high school plus some of my associates from my construction business.
This is really going to be a bash. First, a two hour get together for dinner and the rest of the evening walking the streets in downtown Santa Ana, checking out all the art on display and dancing. There are a lot of strolling musicians and Mariachi bands roaming the streets plus larger Salsa bands for some spirited Latin American dancing. Last time I went in September, there was even a display of vintage automobiles out on the street for inspection. I will post the pictures quickly since I now can do it with no help.
