Re: The old days - Aboard the Apollo - 1973

I agree with Lakey - government probably isn't the best organ to deal with charity. We should be free to choose how we want to contribute to the 'genuinely needy few' amongst us. Charitable bodies are not as good at getting aid to the right people without soaking up too much of the cash themselves as they should be. This issue is a difficult one. Redistribution of wealth is a nonsense idea. Voluntary individual donation works well, and as Lakey said, redistribution efforts by the government could negatively effect people's ability to give. People are pretty generous in the way they respond to urgent needs of all kinds, and it wouldn't be good if government took the 'voluntary' out of the equation.

Its a game of CHANCE. But when you can't merit anything, deserve it, or earn it, and it's generated out of nuthin, $ VOILA!......it's just monopoly money anyhow. That's why the attitude.

This is very interesting!! Merely moving gold bars from one location to another can have huge repercussions on world economies and can enormously effect people's lives. The ownership of the gold doesn't even have to change, just the movement of the bars will suffice! When you think about it, it seems very arbitrary.

A crew is moving large quantities of bars of an inert metal from a vault in one country to a vault in another country. Not much seems to be happening, or so it would seem. What's the big deal? Well, believe it or not, the fortunes of countries, their economies and the lives of their populace hang in the balance!!! Peoples' lives are going to be strongly effected simply by moving an inert metal from one location to the other. This is really an amazing phenomena. Go figure!

It seems a bit analgous to how an electric motor works. In that situation, a magnetic field is present and a metal object is moved through the magnetic field, causing changes to the field and a flow of power is generated.

In the gold situation, metal is also moved and great power seems to be generated. There are differences, however - if the gold is moved without telling anybody about it, nothing will happen. Public perception of the movement has to occur before the movement of the gold will create the energy which will effect peoples' lives!

This is a tremendous demonstration of how agreements between people determine reality. A bar of gold has very little intrinsic value to humans but if people agree that it is valuable, then merely moving gold from one plane to another is capable of generating tremendous power, but only if people know about the move. Amazing!!!

Great statement about this thread!!! Sorry stat haters, but I am going to mention it, we passed 700,000 in views last night. When I went to bed last night we had about 700,040 views but this morning upon awakening, we had over 701,700 so 1,700 views occurred last night. Almost all of those were lurkers just visiting ESMB.

not to be redundant, but this is true for oil also. - something Chavez has a degree of control of also.

Good point, Carmelo! It isn't a perfect analogy but it is close. I see two differences: The first is he fact that oil has more intrinsic value since it can actually can be converted into energy to enable us to drive to work, or to heat our homes, etc. Oil is more of a necessity than gold, which is mainly a "nice to have" for use in jewelry and such.

The second difference would be that if the public didn't know that the gold had been moved, nothing would happen. With the oil, even if the public didn't know the movement took place, prices changes would occur at the pump or with people's heating bills - upwards from where the oil was originally located and downwards where the oil was taken to.

Re: The old days - Aboard the Apollo - 1973

Lakey....I was reading my Massage Therapy Journal this morning and ran across an article about massage therapists working with animals to help relieve them of pain and problems. Then I remembered Harry Rickard used to work with animals to help them heal. Then I thought of you and the technique that you use touching people's heads, and I wondered if you had ever tried it on animals...dogs, cats, horses, etc.? Maybe you could help them too?

Re: The old days - Aboard the Apollo - 1973

Just a question, Lakey. When you look back on your time on the ship with Hubbard, do you generally recall it with pain, pleasure, or a mixture of both? Or some other way? Must have been amazing to live through those times. Do you still take to the sea at all? I do.

Error in the second part here is that the people who "look after" the gold at the varius big depositories - Federal Reserve in the US, Bank of International Settlements in Switzerland, or the guys in London - will have been issuing bonds and money on the basis of this gold they were storing for years and years. By countries now demanding their gold back this equates to a run on the bank and these depositories may well be caught short.

And that could well open up a BIG BIG can of worms they don't want opened.

I MADE A MISTAKE ABOUT THE OIL
Since the ownership of the oil didn't change and we are just talking about where the oil is stored, oil prices don't wouldn't necessarily change. The only thing that might cause oil prices to change is if the owner of the oil authorized it to be processed and sold in the new local area where it was moved to.

I don't get if, if the countries where it is being stored don't own the gold, how can they issue bonds and money on the basis of gold just because it has been stored in their country for years? It's not their gold, they obviously don't control so what gives them the right to issue bonds and money on someone else's gold?

If what you say is true, then anybody who bought their bonds was making a very dangerous investment in the first place. The people using the money should know that the money is only paper money and not backed by gold. Foreign investors would be fools if they believed that money was backed by gold.

BTW, is their any nation who now issues currency which is backed by gold?

Thanks for asking Smila, when I got back home, I still believed 100% that Hubbard and his tech were still beyond reproach. As to the Apollo experience, I felt an enormous sense of betrayal. It took a very long time before I started to change my mind about Hubbard but eventually it happened.

I told my family, especially my brother Reuben that the experience was the worst thing that I have ever experienced on the "whole track". I also ran this horrible experience in many auditing sessions and always had enormous "charge" on the way I was treated. I quit an excellent job at age 31 to join up and help the Sea Org. I paid in all of my savings of $16,000 which is about $85,000 in today's money for training and processing, slaved away for $10 a week in Treasury, doing an utterly fantastic job there but every single thing the S.O. had ever promised me turned out to be a lie.

I hated three individuals, Sandy Wilhere, Maria Starkey and Sue Anderson. I despised them more than words can say.

The auditing and training which I received before going to the Apollo helped me a lot giving me stable gains which have served me well in life. They are not the sci-fi type gains promised by the registrars but have to do with understanding and communicating better with people.

I find it almost comical that well intended beings here on ESMB will evaluate for a person and tell them that they really did not make any gains or that the gains one made are minor or that they could have been obtained elsewhere for a fraction of the price.

When a person of that ilk seems intelligent and well intended, I make a real effort to duplicate what they are saying and take a look at how things could be that way and how they could not be that way. Having done this numerous times, I came to the conclusion that my gains are real and they did enrich my life.

When the well intended critic refuses to accept that and starts to argue, attack and yes degrade, then I reclassify them. They then become no better than the monsters on the Apollo. The reason is that just like those monsters, this new breed believes that only they have the correct answers. Just like the Apollo S.O. robots, they demand 100% lock step agreement and when they do that, I view them as no better than Sandy Wilhere, Maria Starkey and Sue Anderson!

To answer your initial question, I view the Apollo experience mostly with pain and revulsion. As to taking to the sea, I went with Reuben in '80 and '81 on Caribbean Cruises. took my family to Catalina around 1986, went whale watching with my son around 1989. That's been it - being on the Apollo had nothing to do with those trips.

Hi FoTi - I took over the family cat, Bella, shown in my Avatar. She lives with me now and loves to be scratched lightly on her chin, the sides of her neck and the area just behind her nose on both sides.

Petting her on the couch, I tried to do my massage technique on her head. When her head is pressed, the way I do with humans, she quickly moves away from me and goes somewhere else. She doesn't like her head being massaged!

Bella is the only animal whom I have tried to massage but just from that one animal, I formed some opinions. This cat does not seem to have pictures in restimulation or other beings in her space. I am not able to perceive anything of that nature. A cat's space seems much less complex than a humans, they are several orders of magnitudes apart in that regard. The spiritual energy present is of the same order as in humans but there appears to be a noticeably smaller amount of it present.

Carmelo would probably disagree with that assessment as regards his dog. His dog does seem to have a bigger spiritual endowment than most humans.

The cat seems to have a much lighter "case" than humans do. That would make sense, because they play a much smaller game than most humans do. In summary I see a much smaller spiritual endowment, much less case and a very efficient body design for the game which cats are intended to play.

If someone has more to say, please correct me. I really don't know much about this area.

They could sell the actual gold itself if they thought you would never come snooping around asking for it. How would you ever know?

Check some of the posts and video blogs by Joseph Farrell at gizadeathstar.com (don't get put off by the melodramatic name - it's just a joke).
