^^^^^^^^^It look like the Apollo thread is back to being itself!
The topic of this thread is the appreciation and enjoyment of life and all that goes with it.
This is very interesting!! Merely moving gold bars from one location to another can have huge repercussions on world economies and can enormously effect people's lives. The ownership of the gold doesn't even have to change, just the movement of the bars will suffice! When you think about it, it seems very arbitrary.
A crew is moving large quantities of bars of an inert metal from a vault in one country to a vault in another country. Not much seems to be happening, or so it would seem. What's the big deal? Well, believe it or not, the fortunes of countries, their economies and the lives of their populace hang in the balance!!! Peoples' lives are going to be strongly affected simply by moving an inert metal from one location to the other. This is really an amazing phenomena. Go figure!
It seems a bit analgous to how an electric motor works. In that situation, a magnetic field is present and a metal object is moved through the magnetic field, causing changes to the field and a flow of power is generated.
In the gold situation, metal is also moved and great power seems to be generated. There are differences, however - if the gold is moved without telling anybody about it, nothing will happen. Public perception of the movement has to occur before the movement of the gold will create the energy which will affect peoples' lives!
This is a tremendous demonstration of how agreements between people determine reality. A bar of gold has very little intrinsic value to humans but if people agree that it is valuable, then merely moving gold from one plane to another is capable of generating tremendous power, but only if people know about the move. Amazing!!!

Great statement about this thread!!! Sorry stat haters, but I am going to mention it, we passed 700,000 in views last night. When I went to bed last night we had about 700,040 views but this morning upon awakening, we had over 701,700 so 1,700 views occurred last night. Almost all of those were lurkers just visiting ESMB.

not to be redundant, but this is true for oil also. - something Chavez has a degree of control of also.
Good point, Carmelo! It isn't a perfect analogy but it is close. I see two differences: The first is he fact that oil has more intrinsic value since it can actually can be converted into energy to enable us to drive to work, or to heat our homes, etc. Oil is more of a necessity than gold, which is mainly a "nice to have" for use in jewelry and such.
The second difference would be that if the public didn't know that the gold had been moved, nothing would happen. With the oil, even if the public didn't know the movement took place, prices changes would occur at the pump or with people's heating bills - upwards from where the oil was originally located and downwards where the oil was taken to.

Error in the second part here is that the people who "look after" the gold at the varius big depositories - Federal Reserve in the US, Bank of International Settlements in Switzerland, or the guys in London - will have been issuing bonds and money on the basis of this gold they were storing for years and years. By countries now demanding their gold back this equates to a run on the bank and these depositories may well be caught short.
And that could well open up a BIG BIG can of worms they don't want opened.
Just a question, Lakey. When you look back on your time on the ship with Hubbard, do you generally recall it with pain, pleasure, or a mixture of both? Or some other way? Must have been amazing to live through those times. Do you still take to the sea at all? I do.
Lakey....I was reading my Massage Therapy Journal this morning and ran across an article about massage therapists working with animals to help relieve them of pain and problems. Then I remembered Harry Rickard used to work with animals to help them heal. Then I thought of you and the technique that you use touching people's heads, and I wondered if you had ever tried it on animals...dogs, cats, horses, etc.? Maybe you could help them too?
I don't get if, if the countries where it is being stored don't own the gold, how can they issue bonds and money on the basis of gold just because it has been stored in their country for years? It's not their gold, they obviously don't control so what gives them the right to issue bonds and money on someone else's gold?
If what you say is true, then anybody who bought their bonds was making a very dangerous investment in the first place. The people using the money should know that the money is only paper money and not backed by gold. Foreign investors would be fools if they believed that money was backed by gold.
BTW, is their any nation who now issues currency which is backed by gold?

Hi FoTi - I took over the family cat, Bella, shown in my Avatar. She lives with me now and loves to be scratched lightly on her chin, the sides of her neck and the area just behind her nose on both sides.
Petting her on the couch, I tried to do my massage technique on her head. When her head is pressed, the way I do with humans, she quickly moves away from me and goes somewhere else. She doesn't like her head being massaged!
Bella is the only animal whom I have tried to massage but just from that one animal, I formed some opinions. This cat does not seem to have pictures in restimulation or other beings in her space. I am not able to perceive anything of that nature. A cat's space seems much less complex than a humans, they are several orders of magnitudes apart in that regard. The spiritual energy present is of the same order as in humans but there appears to be a noticeably smaller amount of it present.
Carmelo would probably disagree with that assessment as regards his dog. His dog does seem to have a bigger spiritual endowment than most humans.
The cat seems to have a much lighter "case" than humans do. That would make sense, because they play a much smaller game than most humans do. In summary I see a much smaller spiritual endowment, much less case and a very efficient body design for the game which cats are intended to play.
If someone has more to say, please correct me. I really don't know much about this area.
