Re: The old days - Aboard the Apollo - 1973

Here's what Ron said, from the link I provided above, since you didn't read it, I reckon: (http://www.forum.exscn.net/showthre...k)-in-your-org&p=996266&viewfull=1#post996266)

Your response is completely different than what Ron said.

Can you paraphrase what Ron said?
(Just what Ron said, with no additives, opinions, etc.)

PS: I don't have a writing style, I just write. Mostly off the cuff.

And, how about you, C-BS, can you paraphrase what Ron said w/o your poetry, opinions, additives, etc.

PPS. Lakey I didn't ask for your opinion, I asked for what is your opinion of what Ron said.

PPPS. opinion actually meaning what is your understanding of what Ron said.

C-BS w/o poetry makes about as much sense as shit w/o stink gibby...

Re: The old days - Aboard the Apollo - 1973

When people mention "all the good" lrh accomplished I gave that some thought - and tried to stay with some apparent fact.

From his history it is easy to see from a very early age on he certainly lived an astoundingly amazing life filled chuck full endless adventures !

One of the most stunning, to me, was while lay in hospital blinded & crippled from war injuries & abandoned by friends & family so he tells us in that condition he alone managed to do the research to discover dianetics to heal himself with. Bravo !

This probably was true as after all he was a DR of nuclear physics & a medical doctor. Plus he had the bravado of a barn stormer ! ( Only evil people claim he only managed to fly a glider & the FAA never issued him a license for powered flight ).

But, moving on.... He was a world famous creator of music with the Apollo Stars who captured the entire world with his accomplishments.

We'll skip his world class exhibition of photographs left for all to see in so many books he took after years of dedicated photography !

He broke his back coming up OT III to save us all. Did it by himself. Like all good things in his religion he alone came up it. Some fool slipped in this two terminal universe nonsense as Ron hisself came up with everything worthwhile.
And mere words didn't exist to cover his genius so he made up his own words as he went along - and was kind enough to tell us exactly what they had to mean !

Study Tek ? Ron. World Clearing? Ron. OCA? Ron. Alternate repetitive processing ? Ron. Repair lists? Ron. TR's? Ron. Nots ? Ron ( once again unconscious & almost in a coma he instructed David Mayo how to do this new set of processing ).

Hey, if it is any part of scientology or dianetics you better know that Ron hisself came up with it all on his own - every word of it !

He even figured out that what you didn't understand something at all somehow you would be able to show in clay with clarity! No matter what or when, it was all Ron.

And as a family man he fostered his children to pursue their happiness. Look at Nibs & Quentin for example. Look how all his children stayed close to hisself & his teachings.

who was that Alexandrea child who was some kind of a pretender ?

Boy Howdy did he ever support his wife ( wasn't Mary Sue the ONLY wife ? ) . He really stood behind Mary Sue all their married life !

And he was always fair to people he didn't like, for instance, Paulette Cooper.

Speaking of fair, when he formed the SO he made sure those people got a fair - but modest - wage plus health & dental care when needed.

His services provided by the church were always fairly priced so everyone could benefit from his work - he only needed a little extra to hire lawyers to fight those who sought to ruin his works.

He NEVER took a dime for himself ! In fact, he spent his money to keep his work available for us. He said so !

He knew, like all religious leaders, that part of expansion is having children born into the religion so he fostered all adherents having more children.

His processing always delivered exactly what was promised & those who didn't feel they got that had recourse to immediate refund no questions asked.

Ron was as truthful, honest & ethical as he always said he was. He was also always known for giving credit where credit was due.

Yes, Ron created a perfect world for all that was destined in short order to become the world "standard".

And, I have to ask, so how's all that working (<- one of their apologists favorite words ) for 'em ?

it ain't working well for them; they're drowning in their own koolaid

and, sad to say, the very many good things about the subject developed by ron and his colleagues is going under with 'em...

And, "disconnection", per se, ain't all that bad.

If a person is cowed by another & just, seemingly, on their own can not get out from under the harmful - if not hurtful - thumb of another then by all means disconnection is a pretty dang valid way to handle one person far too much effect of another.

Abused woman or child? Overly brow beaten person? For instance IRL I know an adult woman who is completely dominated by her mother - she'd have to get away from her mother to be able to revover some semblance of herself.

However, forcing person A to disconnect from person B because I have an upset with person B ? Insane.

scn has used disconnection as an enforcement tool rather than for help.

Painting disconnection with too broad a brush of " all disconnection should be abolished" doesn't seem the best way - or use - of that tool.

Even in scn - sparingl,y if not rarely - disconnection was used to help. PC is getting auditing but has someone constantly critical. PC flounders.
Here is where " disconnection" can ( not always would ) "work". PC "disconnects" from critical person. Only a fool would not know in the mind of that PC that this is temporary disconnect. Why ? Love!
So, auditor gets a run at auditing PC & PC may - or may not - hook back up with the one who was critical.

Seems fair. Fair ? Giving scn a shot at a person ? yep. That PC choose scn so they get to have a fair run at it.

Even now - as not caring for scn or what it does as I am - if a person makes the choice to be in scn that is their choice they get to make.

Scn does go on to greatly abuse disconnection and use it as a tool to ruin families, spouses, people & all that.
But, scn has acquired a reputation for abuse so nothing new there.

There is no need to shun the correct use of disconnection as here & there in real life it can be helpful.

Hey, if a person is always an unpleasant jerk & I design my life to exclude them - isn't that the same as a disconnection *I* chose ?

Choice may be key in disconnection ?

Absolutely hilarious, he made Orwel's 1984 a reality within a bubble, where bubble dwellers are the happiest of slaves! They have a future, certainty and the tech to handle anything including us super-SPs.

right...

if i tell you you aren't allowed to speak to lakey because etc, etc i am attempting to violate your freedom of association

CoS denies that it demands disconnection and they can get away with saying that because in purely technical terms they don't

there's many people on this board who have been declared and still have active friendships with some scienos in good standing because not all sigs are scibots

but...

if you get declared then all of your casual acquaintances in good standing disconnect. technically they have a option to stay in touch, practically they're a bunch of scibots blindly following the herd...

so...

disconnection you try to avoid

the policy and practice is in serious need of being substantially shagged back

which would bring immense benefit to CoS. disconnection as it is now is a ludicrous footbullet...

By the power invested in me, by me

I hereby give you permission to paraphrase what Hubbard wrote in the couple of paragraphs that I & Jack quoted,

using your poetry.

Here is what ron said, please reprase it in your poetry:

"Hubbard

My own philosophy, my own method of existing is far, far different, perhaps in many cases, than the usual data itself, because I've selected out, after all, certain randomities.

There are certain things which I have decided to be mad at in this universe. I've decided to be mad at psychiatrists. There is no reason why I should be mad at psychiatrists. Really, the sensible thing for me to do about psychiatrists is simply go over and talk to them, make a couple of patients well, show them how they can make bigger fees, pat them all on the head, and you've got Dianetics and psychiatry. But, there is no randomity there. No randomity at all. They're never going to hurt a preclear, really. I can rave and rant about electric shock and prefontal lobotomy - you can pick them up in the next life and they'll be as good as new"

neither do i lakey

but i'm gonna make this up as i go along

i do know if you walk into a senior's office with a stack of papers detailing some great idea you have he might say "can you give me three bullet points?" at which point, if you value the continued receipt of your pay envelope you had best be ready to give three points that strike like bullets...

no matter how grand and intricate some idea may be, if it is a potentially good idea it has a central simplicity that can be expressed in three bullet points

exempli gratia...

i posted my essay "to draw a line" on this thread and was pleased to have you express some admiration for it. here is that essay reduced to three bullet points:

1. over the centuries, western has advanced to the point where we affirm natural, self-evident human rights in Law

2. a woman's right to bring a pregnancy to term is a natural and quintessentially self-evident human right

3. inasmuch as there not one word in Law anywhere on the planet which affirms this right we should amend the constitution of the united states of (dob dylan's) harmonica to affirm this right

the little bit i know of they way His Lakeyness thinks and feels i tend to think the originator of esmb's grandest thread now thinks this three bullet point thing is the cat's meow...

now then...

getting down to overbearingly brassy and most retchedly tacky brass tacks...

i suspect you might be receptive to the idea that CoS could use a very substantial reorganization

i can:

A. substantiate the necessity for this with three fifty calibre bullet points

and...

B. express the entirety of this humongous project with three more of the same

I am not looking for adulation, I did originate the name of the thread when it dealt with only my personal story in COS. Being the OP of the biggest thread on ESMB is nice but in the scheme of life on Earth, it ain't that big of an achievement! Of course Carmelo originated the expanded format of the thread when it moved beyond the bounds of my own story and then there are the dozens of high quality posters who became regulars here who made the thread as big as it is. My writing style tends to long posts and I argue over fine details with certain detractors. As a result, I have made several enemies who don't like me and I believe that most of my posts are too long and not all that good.

I don't really understand your post so I looked up bullet points and found this definition:

Bullet Point: a small symbol, often a black circle, used in text to show each new part of a list:
Information should be presented in bullet point format or as a numbered list.

Thank you for your post, I don't fully get the point you are making and for once, "I am at a loss for words" to intelligently respond to your post."

In closing, I am going to make one more comment about the role I played in making this thread big. One talent I seem to be able to do very well, is to keep the thread going when it looks as if it is on its last legs. I do this by writing something controversial. One way to do that is to say something good about Hubbard or Scientology Tech. I do that knowing that some detractors will appear on the thread to attack me.

I then engage in debate with several attackers and try and poke holes in their arguments. Often, during these exchanges some interesting topic will surface and some outside posters such as Enthetan, Purple Haze or Mama, will show up and make several interesting posts and all of a sudden, several dozen lurkers return to reading the thread and the number of views per day takes off again. That is my primary role here now. The days of me doing this are numbered. I'm pretty sure that as soon as I stop, the thread will die out quite rapidly. Sure, people using search engines will continue to land here indefinitely but the number of views will dwindle down to about 200 hits a day as compared to the 4,000 per day we get now.

From Tony Ortega: http://tonyortega.org/2015/01/20/sc...ntended-to-return-as-his-daughter-dianas-son/

On November 3, 1970, a woman who lived in Los Angeles named Melody Horner sent a letter to President Richard Nixon. She included with her short note to the president a copy of a longer letter she had written days earlier to the International Court of Justice in the Netherlands. She explained that she and her husband, Jack Horner, were former members of Scientology, and they wanted L. Ron Hubbard investigated. (At the time, Hubbard was running Scientology from the ship Apollo in the Mediterranean.)

From her letter to the Hague, Netherlands…

Scientology in its theory and much of its technology is valuable to man. The technology directs a person, as a spirit, to gain better control over his mind, emotions, body, and communication with others. My husband and I used to be Scientologists, but we left in 1965 after Mr. Hubbard put the policy into effect that we and other had to write letters of disconnection (excommunication) to former friends who somehow had fallen out of favor with Mr. Hubbard. In my opinion, Mr. Hubbard’s administrational policies, over the past six years, have cancelled out a lot of the value of the subject. His personality has grown more and more destructive, and I feel sorry for the staff he traps aboard his ship.

L. Ron Hubbard defrauded his followers out of hundreds of millions of dollars, instigated the largest infiltration of the U.S. government in history throwing his wife under the bus in the process, lied about not having a secret Swiss bank account and where his money was coming from, attempted and in many cases successfully destroyed anyone trying to stop him, lied about his marriages, abducted his daughter taking her out of the country when his marriage failed, lied about the number of his marriages, wrote the F.B.I regularly smearing his ex-wife and and again anyone who stood in his way labeling them as insane and/or communists, lied about his academic, military and life history, when convicted in France went into hiding until his death, formed an intelligence/espionage/propaganda group (GO/OSA) to viciously lie, ruin and destroy anyone at his whim, created a mind control cult that to this day run by DM is doing just as Hubbard did, a crime-wave of abuse, human trafficking, extortion, blackmail, lies, murder, spying, suicide, bait and switch cons, and ...........

L. Ron Hubbard wanted to be known as "Mankind's Greatest Friend" and "Ron The Humanitarian."

I don't think so.

With a resume' like that who in the world would think L. Ron Hubbard is a "good" guy? I already know the answer. Cringe.

many tons of ron's output are garbage gibby

in fact, THANK YOU!!!

for that link that enlightened me on the subject of rhetoric. this is truly an immense factor for anyone who wants to make a serious examination of the man and his work. i noted that letter ron sent to the professor of rhetoric in the thirties and now after only glancing briefly at your link much light as been shed...

YES!!!

DMSMH is loaded with rhetoric and it now is clear to me ron gave long and deep thought to subject of rhetoric

now then...

as it happens, i believe i was a most exceptional student of ron's work from the gitgo; i had a nearly uncanny sense of the difference between the nuggets and the rhetoric the nuggets were wrapped in

and i might give the passage you present a closer look later on but ron was many things, some of them... ahem... perhaps somewhat problematic but he was surely A WALKING YAK FESTIVAL!!!

i'm surprised lakey...

i figured you would pick right up on the three bullet point thing

probably many people would read the post and get a sense they'd heard of "three bullet points" but wouldn't be able to place it. this is because they came across it the same place i did...

Dilbert

but i picked right up on it

yeah!

cool!

three bullet points!!!

you come with a great idea and go and write it up and can't get anyone to pay attention 'cause the movers and shakers are to busy

but...

the movers and shakers can be quick on the uptake with a three bullet point presentation. that's how to get their attention; that's how you get them to take a deeper longer look at an idea...

read the post again...

i've been posting on this board for five years and i'm about to play a card i've had up my sleeve the whole time...

CoS is in CRISIS!!!

as you just posted a couple days back, in since 1992 is active membership has dwindled by perhaps 75%. not all of those people who left have turned their backs. many of them know there is something very good about ron's work but something very wrong with the organization. like yourself for instance

there's a good chance you've heard about the chinese pictograph for the word "crisis", it's a piece of oriental wisdom often mentioned in recent. the chinese write their word for "crisis" by placing the pictograph for the word "danger" above the pictograph for the word "opportunity"

think about it...

CoS is in big danger and the sharks are smelling blood in the water and the buzzards are circling n the sky above...

a wise man (or woman) should look at current conditions in CoS and see...

the opportunity for reform and reorganization

and as i said i can give three fifty calibre like out of the barrel of a Browning M2 machine gun bullet points to obviate and substantiate the NECESSITY for reorganization

which would be a huge, complex, intricate task but nonetheless...

i can encompass the entirety this vast and watershed project with...

three bullet points

read the first post again lakey. then read this post again. think about it. sleep on it...

i'm about to hatch the egg i've been sitting on for years and you strike me as one of the people who is hungry for an omelet...
