Re: The old days - Aboard the Apollo - 1973
I don't really understand your post so I looked up bullet points and found this definition:
Bullet Point: a small symbol, often a black circle, used in text to show each new part of a list:
Information should be presented in bullet point format or as a numbered list.
Thank you for your post, I don't fully get the point you are making and for once, "I am at a loss for words" to intelligently respond to your post."
In closing, I am going to make one more comment about the role I played in making this thread big. One talent I seem to be able to do very well, is to keep the thread going when it looks as if it is on its last legs. I do this by writing something controversial. One way to do that is to say something good about Hubbard or Scientology Tech. I do that knowing that some detractors will appear on the thread to attack me.
I then engage in debate with several attackers and try and poke holes in their arguments. Often, during these exchanges some interesting topic will surface and some outside posters such as Enthetan, Purple Haze or Mama, will show up and make several interesting posts and all of a sudden, several dozen lurkers return to reading the thread and the number of views per day takes off again. That is my primary role here now. The days of me doing this are numbered. I'm pretty sure that as soon as I stop, the thread will die out quite rapidly. Sure, people using search engines will continue to land here indefinitely but the number of views will dwindle down to about 200 hits a day as compared to the 4,000 per day we get now.
Lakey
i'm surprised lakey...
i figured you would pick right up on the three bullet point thing
probably many people would read the post and get a sense they'd heard of "three bullet points" but wouldn't be able to place it. this is because they came across it the same place i did...
Dilbert
but i picked right up on it
yeah!
cool!
three bullet points!!!
you come with a great idea and go and write it up and can't get anyone to pay attention 'cause the movers and shakers are to busy
but...
the movers and shakers can be quick on the uptake with a three bullet point presentation. that's how to get their attention; that's how you get them to take a deeper longer look at an idea...
read the post again...
i've been posting on this board for five years and i'm about to play a card i've had up my sleeve the whole time...
CoS is in CRISIS!!!
as you just posted a couple days back, in since 1992 is active membership has dwindled by perhaps 75%. not all of those people who left have turned their backs. many of them know there is something very good about ron's work but something very wrong with the organization. like yourself for instance
there's a good chance you've heard about the chinese pictograph for the word "crisis", it's a piece of oriental wisdom often mentioned in recent. the chinese write their word for "crisis" by placing the pictograph for the word "danger" above the pictograph for the word "opportunity"
think about it...
CoS is in big danger and the sharks are smelling blood in the water and the buzzards are circling n the sky above...
a wise man (or woman) should look at current conditions in CoS and see...
the opportunity for reform and reorganization
and as i said i can give three fifty calibre like out of the barrel of a Browning M2 machine gun bullet points to obviate and substantiate the NECESSITY for reorganization
which would be a huge, complex, intricate task but nonetheless...
i can encompass the entirety this vast and watershed project with...
three bullet points
read the first post again lakey. then read this post again. think about it. sleep on it...
i'm about to hatch the egg i've been sitting on for years and you strike me as one of the people who is hungry for an omelet...
