The only two things you need to know about Scientology

When you boil it all down - there are only two things you need to know about Scientology:

The first is found in KSW #1 ( Keeping Scientology Working #1 - policy written by LRH) - "You can only be upbraided for lack of results"

The second is to simply look at the number of public in any org. If the place is packed, they are getting results. If not......

Humbly tendered as a gift to mankind...

If you become a Scientologist, here are two more things you may need to know:

1) If you ever believe you've observed corruption, criminality, and abuses within Scientology ask yourself "What are my crimes?"
Assigning blame to CoS or any executives running the organization may result in losing one's friends, family, and eternity.

2) Your status is determined by how much money you give to the CoS and the IAS. Suddenly and dramatically increasing one's status is a great remedy to repair your relationship with church executives, ethics officers, etc., whenever they are upset with you for any reason and threatening your eternity. Just make that your stable datum and you'll be fine.

Ah yes, the study of Scientology absolutes for the purposes of highlighting the hypocrisy of Scientology.

...and you can always tell a Scientologist because no one else used the word "upbraided" anymore.

Sigh. A common mistake thinking a "wog" word used in scientology is passé. Not so - here's a good looking use of the word upbraiding:

Yes . . . the history of the word is hard to trace in the dictionaries of today . . . but realize that "braid" is that stuff that military and naval officers wore on their uniforms . . . not only on the epaulets and sleeves, but also as stripes on the sides of trousers.

Hence the deal that if you screwed up . . . your braid was ripped off, usually in public as part of the disgrace heaped on you.

Now, you see it makes sense for the faux-military-hero of WWII to use the term:melodramatic: recall he was sent back from Oz and the Pacific theater in disgrace . . . "upbraided" but not necessarily with his uniform braid ripped off.

I thought it was one of those old lower condition penalties, you know, like wearing a dirty grey rag on the arm ... wearing your hair up in silly braids as you went around asking people's permission to rejoin the group.

Upbraid: etymology: Old English upbregdan "bring forth as a ground for censure," from up (adv.) + bregdan "move quickly, intertwine" (see braid (v.)). Similar formation in Middle Swedish upbrygdha. Meaning "scold" is first attested late 13c. Related: Upbraided; upbraiding.

That was good.

There's apparently more to the etymological origin that seems to gives further sense to how that word developed into its current meaning. Rather than trace just to "braid" it goes to "brandish"........

(From Oxford dictionary): [root of upbraid] ......late Old English upbrēdanallege (something) as a basis for censure,’ based on braid in the obsolete sense ‘brandish.’

brandish - verb: wave or flourish (something, especially a weapon) as a threat or in anger or excitement.

brandish mid-14c., from O.Fr. brandiss-, prp. stem of brandir "to flourish (a sword)" (12c.), from brant "blade of a sword, prow of a ship,"

Aha, then it all traces back to "brant"--the blade of a sword.

That last origin reference ("sword") ties the concept together for me. Hence the "saber rattling" inference of the word "upbraid"--where there's a lot of sound and fury (waving about one's sword menacingly) but no actual physical attack/injury. Perhaps a more modern equivalent of upbraid might be "face rip".

...or, SRA (Severe Reality Adjustment). Originally a personnel motivational technique involving a lot of yelling and screaming by a CMO Messenger to a Sea Org underling.

If it is NOT cruel and inhumane, it's NOT Scientology.

and

Just when you think you Scientology can't get any worse, IT DOES.

From my point of view, the only thing you need to know about Scientology that the engrams do not exist. Once you realize that, you are immune to all other crazy Hubbard ideas such as the thetans, track the way it is presented in his idiotic book, A History of Man, implants, etc.

For me, it was one thing that did the trick of what I needed to know about scientology.

KSW1. When I began to have my own personal doubts about my relationship with the group ( AKA : The Future of mankind ) I turned to KSW1 and read it once again.

I quietly realized that was not me as what KWS1 asked I was no longer willing to deliver. So, it was time to let it go.

Let what go ? Let every last drop, shred, piece, part, & whisper of scientology forever fade out of my life & become a distant memory.

Took some years, but, the other day I listened quietly as a person I like a lot waxed wonderful about their beloved ' religion ' scientology.

To each his own, I don't object to a person who makes the CHOICE to be in scn & feels like they can afford & are getting ' gains ' out it.

Those who have been crushed & had their soul sucked out until; they are willing to exist in the darkness of the RPF or clean dumpster & bathroom floors with a toothbrush - or worse.

That makes me cringe & keep a hand - & hopefully my heart - reaching to help those that need it NOW.

Cliff notes : scn is mainly the product of a sociopath.

KSW - Keeping Scientology Working

  1. "Having the correct technology": Which Hubbard asserts has been done. It was not done and no refunds or credits were given to cult members who purchased services, books and lectures. It was changed TWICE so far since the turd died.
  2. "Knowing the technology": He claims many do know this.
  3. "Knowing it is correct": Hubbard says this comes from application and observation.
  4. "Teaching correctly the correct technology": He claims this is being done worldwide.
  5. "Applying the technology": Again, he says this is already happening.
  6. "Seeing that the technology is correctly applied": He says instructors and supervisors do this.
  7. "Hammering out of existence incorrect technology": The first problem area according to Hubbard, where he says it is a "weak point" and is only handled by a few.
  8. "Knocking out incorrect applications": Hubbard says this isn't worked on hard enough.
  9. "Closing the door on any possibility of incorrect technology": Hubbard says this is "impeded by the 'reasonable' attitude of the not quite bright."
  10. "Closing the door on incorrect application": Hubbard says this is "seldom done with enough ferocity."[SUP][5][/SUP]

[SUP] I got in - 2007. I was told "SP's got into the tech and altered it so I had to BUY all of the books I had already bought OVER again with no refund or credit.

I knew nothing about "The Golden Age of Tech" - when David Miscavige ran this same scam on the cult members in 1996.

PTS/ SP Tech - says SP's speak in generalities - never naming the WHO.:whistling: BINGO
