It was only going to be a matter of time before somebody (probably ityiwt) posted it, so it might as well be me...
The incongruity of T-Bone Walker walking onto the set has just struck me. I'd love to have been able to read his inner thoughts while he was rehearsing for the show with the likes of Peter Cook, Dudley Moore and Peter Sellers. He was probably wondering which planet these m**f**rs came from.

Well, this gives life new meaning!
I go away for the weekend, and start the new week off with having to digest the enormity of what you have created and accomplished, Dear Emma.
I hope you are fully cognizant of the extent to which you accomplished your goal for setting up ESMB and, more importantly, the amount of good and help to others you accomplished.
I say the above because I know one can be distracted from appreciating the good when under the strain of chaos and attack that has been part of your dedication to what is right.
So, Emms, please reflect on all the good you have accomplished.
You have helped and benefitted many, not only in the context of getting the toxic cult out their system, but equally importantly, the facilitating of our connecting to so many wonderful guys and gals that many of us can call good and true friends.
Fare Thee well with what you now have your sights set on.

I discovered this below this morning and thought of posting it on ESMB in homage to the long-time veterans here . . . a homage to the old and wise.
But didn't want to do a new thread thing . . . so here it is. a homage to the older and wiser and non-technically arrogant.

If you are trying to get someone else to take over this board, here's how you do it:
(1) Write up your hat. Those who may have an interest in stepping up may have no idea what will be expected of them. By outlining their duties, they may decide they are up to the challenge, after all.
(2a) Turn it over, with you or an old-timer in ultimate control. This can be a part-time job; let the new administrator do what they will, but be in a position to claw back control if they work against the basic purpose of ESMB.
(2b) As an alternative to 2a, abandon control utterly to a new administrator. But in this case, be prepared to accept that the new guy(s) may do something with ESMB you may not like.
(3) Ultimately, abandon control anyway; and accept the honor of being a founder but without active involvement.
I would consider taking it over myself but I'm too busy with my own blog at the moment (see below).
In any case, I once again praise you for all you have done for the exes and other contributors. You are a superstar!

I know you’re doing the right thing, because in my own small way, I’ve done it too. Hubbardism no longer matters even a little bit. That’s why the gaps between my attendances here reached into months and then years. Dianetics is garbage; Scientology is over. Good riddance!
To the lovely people whose company I enjoyed so much here, thank you. By God, it’s been fun. Laughing at the ludicrous whales, the culty Ronbots, the petty cheapzoners, the brain-burned believers, the drama llamas, the apologists and most of all the fat fraud himself, L Ron Hubbard. Here’s hoping his failed life is a lesson to you all, and you end up better off than he did. (Not hard!)
