What happened to OCMB?

J Swift dominated OCMB from 2005 - 2011. Most of his 10203 posts are from this time. He didn't leave OCMB until the end, but had basically slowed to a trickle while he turned to blogging and whatever else.

In early 2010 Swift shows that he is fiercely protective of old time critics like Gerry Armstrong & Arnie Lerma.

But then something changed....

So, we have a guy who introduced himself as a Scientologist, but then said he wasn't one because he can't understand Scientologists or Ex scientologists, but then says he was a Scientologist from 20 years ago, but in that time he was also a christian, a buddhist, a Master Mason, a Knight Templar.


Also he says he has connections with Law enforcement/intelligence organisations, security clearances etc.

How does one manage to do all this in one lifetime? I feel like I've made that observation before, recently. I'm not sure who it was but it will come to me.

Critics fighting each other online, is one of OSA's goals.

On another thread it was part of the plan described to discredit Chuck Beatty, who was a threat years ago.

Now we've just lost Aftermath, in recent years Marty and Arnie (apparently) were silenced, and today others here are being targeted.

There's more valuable information that has yet to be exposed, and there are a series of critical civil cases being filed that may help do it.

The free-form and open nature of the OCMB discussion board was an asset for years, and hopefully can be one that will rise again.

All else should rise above the drama, and stay on target.

I must say the board's gotten quite lively with the return of the Armadillo. I'm glad he's back on here because it wasn't possible to discuss with him the positions he's taken on his own blog. Although I'm not happy that HH blew the scene. His wit will be missed.

Swifty has informed me that: Until hearing from me, he had no idea it was down. That OCMB was never given, transferred or sold to Karen or himself. I have no concrete reason to doubt any of this.

I've sent PM's to many: Andreas Heldal-Lund, other ex-Moderators of OCMB, etc.

Could be that Andreas having moved on, cared less about the message board side of things than he has in keeping xenu.net intact and that OCMB has somehow crashed as a result of not having it's software updated or maintained. This is speculation on my part.

I used to enjoy reading Jeff’s posts (as J.Swift) and more recently I subscribed on iTunes to his podcasts.

Most podcasters don’t have a good voice, or meander, or are too preachy. It’s not easy to make a interesting podcast that will keep my attention on the train-after all I could be listening to virtually anything else-but all of the interviews he did with exes about their histories in Scn were great.

I also regret the departures of Hellofahoax, who was really funny, and Karen, who contributed well here, and who also bankrolled Marty’s website-the one that got me to finally wake up and leave Scientology.

This could also be true.

Websites, especially websites as complex as message boards, go down all the time.

But I do not trust anything Swifty has to say. So we still need verification on McGhee's claim.
