IMO, Alanzo is using both you and Gerry, which I think is a shame, as both of you are heroes and much respected and loved.

Okay. When I wrote the letter to Amy Scobee, the group members were identifying as Independent Scientologists. That is not to say their group wasn't peppered with corporate Scientologists or whatever other denominations or splinter groups. I haven't really followed the discussions about Rathbun's and Rinder's progressions and "progressions" out or "out." As far as I can tell, most of the people I was writing to Amy about haven't broken rank with each other. None of them have corrected their unified false messaging on the SP doctrine, which is mainly what I find relevant.

Calling oneself a Scientologist seems virtually a statement against interest in this day and age. It is understandable to me why some find it expedient to lie about their religious affiliation or system of thought. It helps me to keep in mind that dentists and roofers and car salesmen and spooks and legal consultants use Hubbard's nasty tech, which works just as evilly in a secular context. Other people's statements of religious identity are almost meaningless to me personally.

I don't know what to make of your last sentence above. I don't understand how it could be that Gerry and I have been disadvantaged by what Alanzo wrote or clicked on. I have so far resisted what I call the social media "human emotion and reaction" system, but I admit I got a bit of a kick out of all the money bags.Seriously though, I'd like to understand your concern better. No to answer for Veda, but my perception of things:

You and Gerry are criticizing the actions taken by Mike since he left. Alanzo is doing that too. Since he is so disliked and it's an ongoing vendetta, your criticism becomes guilty by association due to the the polarization in regards to Mike Rinder and the Aftermath.

Was it always like this? Does it always have to become personal when "we" discuss matters like this?
