Can You Be a Christian Scientologist? (Juliette Lewis Says YES in New Interview)

Well Pat - everybody is free to fantasize - if you would show Hubbards anti Christian, anti democratic and money hungry writings to a Christian theologian
he may tell you that you missed something here.

My mother was attending Scientology Services for many many years but her deep Christian believe prevented her from beeing brainwashed too deeply so she managed to stay a Christian all these years - my father did not-he became a fanatic Scientologist. The last years of her life my mother freed herself from Hubbards soul hacking and stopped doing Scientology services.
My mother gave us children the home and love we needed - my father left her alone with 3 children and he neglected his 8 children from three different wifes because he had more important things to do like saving a planet.

well but still it is all a question of the angle of vision you know - here in Germany the Nazis even managed to force both Christian churches into line 70 years ago, so that the soldiers who killed Jews and innocent civilians truely believed that they still were acting as Christians.

Markus,

You have to read her earlier posts. She was trying to get the thread back on topic. Read back posts. :)

Sure !

I'm listening.

Panda answered some questions regarding OT8 and what happens at the point of death , and the being leaves the body . We compared notes from all sorts of experiences and sources -It was a blast ! - I recieved great answers to my questions and was very pleased ( A bit much to post here - I may sum up soon with my own lengthy post as I seem to be reaching some conclusions which I will be more then happy to share ) :)

I guess a major element would be 'what does abnegation mean?'

For an absolutist 'revealed truth' system like Scientology, a *single* false element is enough to 'abnegate' it. Or should be.

If you saw a single leg off a stool, it will topple, unless you're deliberately trying to keep it upright. A 'house of cards' is not sane architecture, although, it may be an interesting art project.

As a *life philosophy*, Scientology is doomed by its own internal 'system' although mad scrambling may manage to shore up the inevitable collapse; for a while.

The real shame is the horrors it causes while it's standing.

Are you talking about Panda's or about Pat's posts? And may you please be so kind and quote the posts you are talking about?

Thank you :)

Markus, I was talking about Aunt Pat's. I've been on this thread since it started so I know where she is leaning. I don't have the time to go back and quote but if you go to "Find all posts by Aunt Pat" in her profile, you will see where she is coming from. Easy to find. :)

Surprise, surprise! You've got it backwards again, Z.

The subject of scientology is NOT laid out as a "revealed truth" philosophy or religion. However traditional christianity IS.

What Hubbard did with the SO is a different matter entirely.

Oh shit! I had no idea Panda died, was resurrected and returned!

That changes everything!

If anyone had mentioned that to me earlier, I wouldn't have bothered posting any of my 4,846 previous Joking-n-Degrading remarks about OT VIII.

Thank you Synthia - you were right - it seems that Aunt Pat managed to stay a Christian despite Hubbards attempts to hack her soul - just like my mother did - sorry Aunt Pat

Oh yeah, I forgot, it was the SEA ORG that caused all the problems! :hysterical:

When I lived in NYC a guy that lived near me was whacked out by a mob-hired hit man. When I went to the funeral, I consoled his widow and admonished her not to blame the murderer, who was not actually in the Mafia.

He was just an "associate" and hadn't been "made" yet.

Ooops, did I just break the Scientologists' code of omerta by revealing this truth to you?

PR, PR , PR

I actually did not know anybody personally who was stayed Christian while they were a Scientologist. All the chatter and such among staff and other die-hards was that we assumed it was part of the PR ploy. Kind of "when they get a bit more aware, they'll cog". Heard lots of snide comments about the WTH posters even, just as far as the precept on respecting other religions by the died-in-the wool"*. When I was assigned an auditing room that had one up, I got PCs who were actually a bit kind of confused by it. To them, it was sort of obvious that the two didn't mix, and I had references to pull out to show this. Most of the cogs were how it was it's 'the greatest good'.

I think it more is a point of them getting others to be tolerant of 'our religion'. There's a PL (and I once again wish I hadn't dumped all my books) where he talks about who you should and should not disseminate to...perhaps someone else can find it...those who are hard-core on other religions, you leave alone.

Woo-hoo. Feeling religious myself as I just saw a 67 yard play to the end zone for the BEARS to take the lead!!!! Ok...got distracted by IMPORTANT things :D

I do remember being briefed at a staff meeting about the Catholic priest who was a new Scio who was giving sermons that incorporated ARC and other such...I doubt that lasted very long. Also, another one where there was some televangelist who came out supporting WTH. The general view was always how the truth could reach through, even past all those implants and such--and they'd cog someday. We were such a snide know-it-all bunch, but maybe that was just my org.

There was one exception...I met a guy down on Athena lines who actually thought maybe there was something to Christianity after he did OT III. Confused the hell out of me, and I'd love to be able to talk with him. It was the opposite of every other person I talked to who started ascending the OT Levels.

* edit...I went through to re-read this, and was about to change this to the proper spelling, but I kind of had to laugh...Scinos being sheep and all, I had to leave it as-is. Ah, I remember it well :)

Geez, I'd ask you to elaborate, because you are so vague, but I don't think I can take it so I think I'll pass.

Dang! I KNEW I liked you :D. I'm sitting here watching the game alone, but it'd rock if I had beer and someone to scream with! I keep hearing there's a local place that sells Chicago dogs and plays all the games, but I can't quite justify the dough; guess this is the second best thing. :happydance:

I subscribed to that philosophy for a long time.

Then the subscription rates kept going up and I canceled my delivery.

You mean...I can still get deliveries for free? :D

I shouldn't tell you this but...(shhhhhhhhh....confidential....)

On the Advanced Levels at Chicago AO, when you open your OT III package, there is no Xenu story, just a deep dish pizza with a Chicago dog topping.

Yeah, and then I would say, "What? I paid $300,000 for this?" then I would sit back for a second and say, "Okay, yeah, that makes sense. Okay, yeah " :D

Here, let me help you...

I just downloaded some Bakerology Translation Software on my computer and I can plug it in and see what he is talking about.

"The subject of scientology is NOT laid out as a "revealed truth" philosophy or religion."

TRANSLATION: "The Grade Chart does not exist. Nor did it ever exist. And even if it did exist, it would not part of Scientology. Your human shortcomings and feeble attempts to understand Scientology amuse me."
