Obviously ....... I think the kiwi would've been even better! Kiwis are unique and precious - and there's not enough of them - and everybody loves them.

Dear David,

For your info, a LOT of the people "gagged" do "talk" but obviously privately, as you already know.

AND, if you have not heard, Lawrence Wright of the New Yorker, who did the Paul Haggis piece which summarized the recent years controversies of ongoing Scientology history, Lawrence Wright intends and is longer range researching for a book at present.

Thus, anyone of serious note in Scientology history WILL have a chance, off the record, or on, to help piece the whole picture together.

Lawrence Wright is the best writer, I believe, in the last couple decades, to take on Scientology.

I network anyone to anyone who wants to be networked, and any of the ex RTC, ex CMO Int, ex Guardian's Office, people with lots of history memories, I'll gladly network people to Lawrence Wright.

Suggest people read that New Yorker article again, to see what kind of quality writer is currently now undertaking a longer range book on Scientology.

There is SO MUCH history details now on the chat sites these last 10 years 15 years, I encourage everyone of note to write their own personal memoirs, like Nancy Many did, like Jeff Hawkins did, like Marc Headley did.

I'd like to see some of the bigger ex cheezes be interviewed by serious good writers like Lawrence Wright, if those bigger cheezes are not themselves going to do their own writing!

There were lots of similarities between the communist regime and Co$ - the communists did not acknowledge or allow religion, and thus they promoted the cult of anti-religion....

You are brilliant. You have opened my eyes in your statement above, especially the part that I took the liberty of putting into bold.

Having experienced ill will and ill treatment from more than one religion during my life, I finally became utterly jaundiced against them. Of course there are evil belief systems but even for those belief systems that are not so negatively inclined, the harm happens when someone sets out to enforce their ideas, beliefs or opinions on other people.

Others have posted similarly enlightening comments on this thread, too and I thank them for their clarifications. I bow to your having "put the icing on the cake" for me,

Good to hear from you Chuck. Yes, I did read his article in the New Yorker and as you say he s an excellent journalist and writer.

AFAIK, I don't think I will participate for the obvious reason. However, I wish well upon those who will do so.

I also hope that the very few who may have strayed even a little from the truth in other statements/publications will take it upon themselves not only to be sure of their rightness in their own mind but also to verify, nay even exhaustively verify, their data before submitting such for inclusion.

For the sake of any who could be hurt, I make my plea. I sympathize and I know full well the depth of emotional hurt and sometimes real danger that factual discrepancies can cause --especially when such are published and will forever remain on the World Wide Web.

(Lest I create a wrong impression, nothing I have said above is intended or directed toward Chuck. I have read and admired many postings and articles of his.)
