As long as she stays the fuck away from Disney, she should have a fighting chance. I'm not a huge fan of the Olsen twins, but they seem to have solid heads on their shoulders, so it can be done.

I've not done much study of the kids that "burn out", but more of those who "went on". Jackie doesn't look like a burn out. Looks more like she will expand. And then there is the phenomena of accomplishment...the been there, that.

Jackie conquered the planet 2 years ago. So instead of "burning out" there is also graduating to the individual's next level.

i just stepped out for a boooo-reeto and a brief encounter with that funny mr. reefer man and i got to thinking about this "moonchild" concept...

i'd never given it any thought, never contemplated what parsons and hubbard were doing trying to produce "moonchild". only first heard of it 2007 seven when i first came across coryden's book. but, hmmmm... yeah, i can see how my life tends to correspond with something one might think of as a "moonchild archetype". in some ways. i'm still basically well-grounded in the mundane world. been a cabdriver forty years. how many people have jobs where if they nap for 5 seconds they die? it's a be here now job mes amis...

but i got many verrrrrrrry strange episodes in my life...

Hey, I feel like the luckiest guy on earth to have been able to play Bach and Brahms. No experience like being in the middle of an orchestra playing a Brahms symphony. Laying into the string for all I am worth, just Winnie's emotion on his sleeve. Unfortunately no one here has ever heard me in an orchestra, piano trio or string quartet performance. Didn't used to feel this way when I was paid to do it. Now in my "elder statesman" mode, where I refuse to accept money to play, and only play for the joy of it, do I appreciate what gift playing an instrument is.
