He got a NEW SUIT and backdrop! Today's post is about The Aftermath finale and contained an especially nasty dig at Mike Rinder (someone sounds a bit bitter at his ex-BFF's success and the fact so many respect him for being a nice guy now!). Make-up job is consistent but he's now graduated to referring to Tony Ortega as "BackPage Tony" courtesy of that literary giant The Oracle - so this is definitely a more recent taping!

IMHO this series is attempting to distract from the premier of the new Aftermath season, hence the recent ramp up in postings! But he looked genuinely embittered when talking about Mike! It was very telling to this video-watcher, at least.

Yes, it must be difficult to see people he betrayed becoming well known. Mista Rindaah is the new hot guy on tv and online, poised and eloquent. No crib notes needed.

Let's take a closer look at the dead-agenting character assassination Rathbun is spewing in that verbatim quote. Jeez, there is something suspicious going on--because all the "suppressive acts" that he is accusing others of are EXACTLY the things he does in all his attack videos:

TRIBALIZING (check!)

MARGINALIZING (check!)

OPIOID ABUSE (WTF?!)​

Is that last one a confession? LOL. Maybe that explains Rathbun's deranged video rants.

Either that, or we finally have an explanation about his bizarre references to "preparing the ground"--if he's cultivating, growing & consuming his own poppies.

Agreed! One thing that really stood out though was unlike most of his other video-clips, in which he seemed a bit uncomfortable and less his typical animated self, was this one seemed more like him circa "rue the day" and some of his more defensive/angry videos (deposition, Squirrel-Busters...)

It's easy in a sense to play armchair-analyst I guess, but I wonder what the people who knew him well think of this appearance vs. previous. From a distance it's maddening & disgusting, but looking at the whole picture and from a view of someone who's actually living this out - it's really very sad!

One question though, what was that little "opioid-addicted" line about or referrring to in his response statement at his blog? Not that I expect a lot of what he says to make sense, but that was very specific and one of those things where he seemed to be making a pointed dig at someone.

Just watched. Funny - it's clear the J&D comments about how the last block of these were filmed (his mouth noises, consulting notes constantly, the camera angles, etc.) were considered because there's definitely an effort to change those things...

He's REALLY hung up on "this has been done before... I was there... it failed." Then the usual "sugar daddy" (repetitively) and now they're in a "drug dealer limo?" Your last line framed it perfectly. Truly agree... it's just plain sad because after all the paths he's traveled, he just seems embittered, lonely and he truly ruined/burnt all the positive bridges he'd built since leaving.

Just can't imagine where he could go from here and while he doesn't need to "agree" with any one "side" on the subject of Scientology, he's managed to join, leave and burn people within every group he's been part of. It's clear he's being trotted out to distract from this coming Tuesday (not a chance! Garcia case hearing AND Aftermath... no one will even think the name Marty-Mark come Tues) and likely upcoming episodes, this "experiment" designed to maybe distract, cause strife in the ex-communities, or safe-point UTR's or whatever... is a total FAIL!

How does that work exactly? Rathbun sneeringly portrays Rinder as a wannabe fame failure? Rathbun's drippingly dismissive arrogance about Rinder betrays and showcases his own deeply flawed psychology--because Mike Rinder is a major success, co-starring in a commercial blockbuster TV series that is also a stunning critical and award winning success!

Rathbun, the thug-turned-whistleblower, has now fully returned to his disgraceful roots. The "Scientology Warrior" has humiliatingly exposed himself as an effete and pathetic cult goon who will lie and whore himself out--while lording over others some imaginary altitude and laughable status that nobody recognizes.

You described it far better than I did! That seems to be the crux of it. But in all his panting about Mike Rinder, he's essentially painting all his past efforts as complete failure, then that "logic" leads him to assign failure to anyone else that tries, because if he couldn't do it, no one can.

Jealous & bitter isn't a good look for anyone, but it's pretty ugly here. It's almost humorous that CO$ would consider these videos a "win." But the reality is, the little psycho that runs the whole mess just enjoys watching people squirm - and that's all he's really doing in these videos in the end.

Just watched Rathbun's installment #19.

REVELATION! Rathbun explains how Leah & Mike's blockbuster, award-winning show is no good because...............................they didn't attack the Catholic Church.

I'm not making it up, LOL.

Yeah, Rathbun tries to stammer & stutter his way through a tortured, nervous-tic-infested, explanation of how nobody has the right to expose Scientology if they don't first destroy Catholics. Because some priests were pedophiles--which gives Scientology a free-pass, apparently.

Rathbun is not only acting quite mad, he actually is quite mad.

But, he doesn't know that. He actually believes that all those contorted facial twists and sneering cockeyed smirks somehow cloak what he is doing. Now, Rathbun is just as crazy as Hubbard ever was!

Exactly! This one confirms that he's keeping up w/the loopy comments and continuing this farce. Though it was interesting how one of his commenters seemed to insinuate that Marty was throwing out "fake news" just to see what happens ... whatever they want to classify it, it's still telling lies, trying to create a narrative of his own & hurting former friends while doing!

In past videos he's seemed uncomfortable when talking about Mike & certain others, not this time! No poker face this time - there was bitterness there! Maybe a bit of regret at needing to be "RIGHT" while making everyone else wrong, then taking that payout or whatever it was that turned him? He could've acted like a typical adult, agreed to disagree on some points, but continued to do the right thing (& not throw friends & people who entrusted him w/their recovery under the bus) and likely reap some of the rewards of current media attention to help his finances. Marty has yet to address what Sarge said and recorded and explained in the final chapters of Wright's Going Clear, The Prison of Belief book, and even Marty's own book, in that Sarge said Hubbard told Sarge he failed and wasn't coming back.

So according to his latest video he was "made an enemy" because he started using Scientology or things from Scientology's manual to keep people from "shooting the heads off their Scientologist Family and friends?"

Not even close there Marty-Mark! You got backlash and people changed their opinions of you (real life note: the average healthy person doesn't keep an enemies list or declare/label people as enemies - one can simply be disgusted with someone's behavior, angry at their actions and/or feel they lack character) because YOU asked people to support you and your wife, publicly declared your wife had filed a lawsuit and blogged about it.

Then suddenly the suit was dropped without a word or explanation so people began to discuss and question since it was incongruent with what you'd previously said. YOU were the one who came out swinging, started declaring enemies and making threats about people "rue-ing the day...". YOU started taking shots at people who'd helped and supported you, YOU gave an email to your previous declared enemy (CO$) to help them in a lawsuit and then proceeded to record these ridiculous videos, spewing vitriol, outright lies and throwing people who'd called you a friend (at one point) under the bus while judging & labeling THEM!

YOU created all this... you're the one with the narrative you want people to accept. Problem is, you've changed narratives and versions of "fact" so many times that very few believe you, take you seriously or see you as trustworthy in ANY fashion now. You made this bed and now you're angry at the world and lashing out because you have to sleep in it & no one wants to deal with your games or drama any more. That's what happens out here in the free world - it's not about "sheeple," it's simply fact that an awful lot of people are disgusted with your actions and words so have lost all respect for you. Out here in the real world when a LOT of people are in agreement about things like that, it's not due to being brainwashed, there's one constant in all of this - YOU. Perhaps it's time to look in the mirror and get some help instead of inventing membership groups and conspiracies that are out to get you and move on with your life and precious family. These bridges are burnt and IRL people have to demonstrate change, good character and all that goes into building trust. In time the people you've hurt will forgive you, move on and perhaps some would even choose to be friends with you again. But your days as a guru or opinion leader for the ex & Indy communities are likely over. It's pretty obvious why that is & hopefully one day you will come to terms with that & learn from it.
