I am chiming in and going to answer...(bad bad girl!)

The next evolutionary step is...

Dancing and sucking the juice out of life. Easy. Simple. It includes singing rousing renditions of Kumbaya, with good friends, at dinner parties (and no we don't drink a lot of wine).

Good. That's sorted then. ;)
The polyphenols in red wine are very good for our bodies. :whistling:

To become entrapped in another (better) cult.
I am seeking a new guru. The room is strewn with bits of paper titled "what I am really looking for..."

I can't quite decide if I'd like my new guru to wear long flowing robes or not. I like the idea of flowing robes, especially if they are made of silk. Silk is divine. Yeah I think I'd like my new guru to wear silk robes and insist devotees wear the same. I don't give a damn what the philosophies on offer are about so long as the uniforms are silk.

I met a woman who had been involved in a cult where they all wore really cool robes. I nearly killed myself laughing as we compared "cult experiences". She'd had a way better cult experience than me. Clothing is so important don't you think? ;)

Since you're picky about the dress code for the next cult minority religion you join, the best option may be to start your own, that way you'll have full control over how you dress.

This book may come in handy:

Gary's Guide To Starting a Cult
https://www.amazon.com/Garys-Guide-Starting-Cult-Brodsky-ebook/dp/B01HZ6I864

Excerpt from Intro:

Long flowing robes, brainwashing and mass suicides, Strange, but cults have gotten a bad rap over the years. Actually, it might be just the lifestyle choice you need to make. Think about it: Aren't you tired of being an anonymous sap? Start a cult, and you can be its leader! You can sway the opinions of thousands, maybe millions of people—and become filthy rich in the process. You can take over the world! (Insert your maniacal laugh here.)

Good for you! You won't regret this. You are so smart and special. I could tell straight away there was something unique about you. Those of us sitting here in really cool silk robes can't wait to welcome you home. Don't worry about a thing. Your life is about to evolve into magical moment after magic moment.

If you email your details to our clothing admin person, your robe will be waiting for you when you arrive. :kangaroo:

(Maybe the kangaroo thing is a bit much?) lol

OK, this is a woman's robe which I don't want, but prefer mine in that color blue if possible:

Alanzo you have no idea how the people here reason.

No idea at all.

You only think you know.

I have no idea how @freethinker or @Voodoo or @JustSheila or anyone else around here really think about certain issues. When we post we are aware that every word will be permanent (after 24 hours) so I have no doubt that most are careful about what they say and how they say it (most of the time!).

Many of us are more concerned with the bigger picture and not with 'getting someone for real or imagined crimes against humanity' as you seem to be.

I don't need to know how each person really thinks because it's none of my business ... this is a message board full of individuals, we are not a cult (for the millionth time!).

Stop concerning yourself with everyone else and worry about yourself instead.
With regard to scientology, I do know how you reason. You display it here everyday. Do you think your reasoning is hidden by what you write? No. It's revealed by what you write.

Show me the secret surprise in your reasoning about scientology : is it that you think Mike Rinder's hot?

Hmmmmm .... I don't want to be difficult but silk can 'cling' quite badly in warm weather (unless you wear a petticoat and some of the boys may not want to do that). Also, we would all freeze our doo-dahs off when it's cold.

Do you see my point (you'd be very clearly seeing everyones 'points' in both warm and cold weather if you wear silk)?

I'm in if we can wear long flowing linen robes. Linen creases badly, but you get used to looking like you slept in it after a while and we could always wear a nice hand knitted cardigan over the top in cold weather and knitted socks to match, with our lovely sandals ... we can knit the cardies and socks ourselves, that could be our contribution to saving the world, I'm not sure how that works but someone clever will think of some reasoning.

Colour matters of course, we can't wear vivid orange (see below video ... but only if you can handle seeing Ma Sheela again). We'll need to choose a colour that resonates with our beliefs (and at this stage I don't think we have any ... but we can work all these things out as we go, a bit like tubs hubbard did).

Blame Alanzo if I am being a bit difficult because he has taught me to speak up for myself and THINK (it's a new concept for me and I'm splurging on it).

I'm willing to not join if I'm being annoying and just yell brilliant suggestions from the sidelines if that would help, because that's the kind of person I am now.

:)

What else can I say except that I love you and I am going to miss all this. Which is odd because I haven't been here the past few years. I just got back here and now it is going to end. Sort of like what happened with my mother. No, I am not fucking crying. I have something in my eyes. Dignity ITYIWT, dignity all the way.

p.s. I have some sock knitting patterns. All will be well. xxx

Sob ... (I know).

I lied to you though (I can't knit cardies or sodding socks to save my life ... those weird circular needles do my head in!).

Love you too.

Nasty, nasty, nasty. The thing is that most here survived way worse than anything you can dish out and can laugh at these pathetic attempts to make someone feel bad. In case you wondered why your stats were down. Have a nice day. :D

Just so long as there's no clipboards, mandatory events, stats, rege's, ethics handlings, secret police, cringy photos to clap at, fair game, disconnections, rpf, blow drill, success stories, staring contests, weird made up words and acronyms, uniforms and plenty of toilet paper, I'm in.

Pot meet kettle. Someone sure is stuck Alanzo, and it happens to be you. Have you read all the (non-trivial) posts you have made here on ESMB since your return? If that isn't stuck then bring on the elmers.

Best part- all those posts will be archived. Great history.

This wasn't an attempt to make anyone feel bad. You are interpreting this in the worst possible way.

That happens a lot around here.

It's important that the guru has nice cars, as far as clothes, I think the colors are the most important aspect.
