This makes me very angry.
How can anyone do this to children? Let alone to their own children? Apart from the fact that it's illegal?

So how many children are involved? This should definitely be reported.
Counting them out there is actually 8. If you count Emily who is now 18. Emily, Ruby, Jaden, Luke, Kylla, Moana, Jack, Hemi. Most are expeditors.

It is unlawful to employ a child of compulsory school age during the hours the child is required to attend school.
Children generally must attend school up to the end of the year they turn 17. In some circumstances a younger child can leave school for vocational training or employment, subject to approval by the Minister for Education.
For further information about employing children of compulsory school age, go to the Department of Education website, or call the local District Education Office or the child’s school.
When is a child considered to be employed?
A child is considered to be employed if engaged to carry out work in a business, trade or occupation carried on for profit, whether or not they are paid or receive any other kind of reward. Employment includes full time work, part time work, casual work, holiday jobs, contract work and piece work.

A person who employs a child or a parent who permits their child to undertake work that is not allowed, or to work outside the allowed hours, could be prosecuted and fined up to $24,000. I wonder what level their education goes to? I hope they went to a decent school in the early days - enough to become reasonably literate and numerate. Was this day and foundation hours, or just day hours? I can't think of an organisation in Australia today more deserving of a $120,000 fine.

Thanks Pandy, but I wasn't even thinking of that...with a name like Ryan Mac (something or other) he's bound to be a Scot! (Or have some Scots ancestors, which is what counts for us here in the States! We're all so muttley~~~ Plus the attitude when riled! HOOT!)

Nope. Her mother did home school her but she told me she has finished. The home school is still going on some level, just the org staffs children. Not ever day either.

Emily Bromwell 18. Ruby Bromwell 16(children of ED and D/ED)
Jaden Bromwell 17. Luke Bromwell 15(sons of Perths OT ambassador)
Kylla Steele 17. (Parents ex SO)
Jack Anderson 16. Moana Anderson 15. Hemi Anderson 11. ( mother is the SSO)
As you can see there are two families making up the numbers, as far as children go. Only Luke goes to a normal school, none of the rest have or do. The Bromwells and Kylla all attended Lynley's home schooling and have reasonable literacy, from what I could tell. The Anderson children are well behind where they should be.
They are all foundation staff, they get Saturdays off but have to attend events. Emily does full foundation schedule.
As yet conversations with Nick Xenafon have been brief, there have been emails and he is calling me back in the next few days.
