Excellent post and I ditto that. Short and sweet, but couldn't have said it any better!
[Looks like my two year old grandson is in harmony with his nanna writing on her laptop, as the snow softly falls outside.]
Hbeer, if they actually allowed the truth to be seen or perceived, they'd all burst out of their solid cocoons and fly about freely as beautiful butterflies, which we enjoy here = freedom to communicate freely on any subject, only limited by our own good judgment and consideration. Right, Sweetness?
Funny how Hbeer always looks like Heber. I agree but to me "good judgement" is the key. There is no one but the speaker or author to decide what is good judgement and that takes some skill.
Everything the group of which we speak, long ago symbolized for me, cannot be found inside that dead giant cocoon carcass. The freed beings who evolved and went out the top or out the bottom, can now, as individuals, create their own beingness, unencumbered by the lies and labels of either madman or messiah.
Brilliant superlative prose, expresses the concept concisely but with a lot of color as well. Would you mind revealing what pen name you wrote under in a past incarnation? Was it Jane Austen or one of the Bronte's?
I never agreed to be labeled a Scientologist, before, during, or after my involvement, as I always perceived it a small game and was uncomfortable being limited by a label or another's ego, no matter how brilliant.
A class VIII Sea Org member not a Scientologist, novel but apparently the truth! You were smarter than most in seeing that you could absorb and apply truths out of Scientology without subscribing to the silly trappings connected with being in the Sea Org. My Brother once made a sage remark, "It's ridiculous we grown adults are going through this naval dress ritual just because Hubbard decided he wants to be Commodore of a Navy."!
I chose to co-create as a free spirit with individuals rather than becoming some stuck identity for the majority to relate to and control. Thus, auditing worked for me as a means of contribution and I excelled at it.
That became harder and harder to do as the years went by.
I have always been feisty, just ask Dart, so, controlling bodies as a basic premise, I found to be detrimental unless it was with the other's willingness and consent.
Thus, being dragged by my long blond hair down the stairs to the basement at AOLA by Joan Robertson, while I fought and hung onto the door jam for dear life, and then being cuffed there, until I acquiesced and came down to propitiation, just was not my cup of tea.
So you do have a story! I was begining to wonder.
Shame on you, Scientology, as a group, that you would allow this and thousands of other stories to be created by your underbelly, your robotic minions who could never even hope to take responsibility for their actions, much less apologize.
So, it seems to me, that those who are free of the Church subjugation and stupidity, are the lucky ones. Those still involved are at best oblivious and at the worst, think 'it has nothing to do with me'.
WAKE UP, and as the minah bird said in Huxley's
Island, "
PAY ATTENTION"
Heading to the airport soon, to fly that big bird in the falling snow.
