Face,

i've been out of the Co$ since 1976. Before that I had a reasonably good gossip line from Flag. I knew a lot of the dirt when I was in. You put the theory in. - The reasons behind the physical abuse, the crazy behavior, etc.

You really are adding to the knowledge base in a big way.

Thanks, Carmelo...I'm just callin' 'em as I sees 'em.

"One thing that El Ron’s predatory leech-host model required was periodically and consistently having 'Someone and Something New'".

The first Foundation gave El Ron what he needed; a “stage” to tell stories from, an audience that would “buy” them and a bunch of early innovators and adapters to do the real work. Problem was that the Foundation had inherent flaws that eventually lead to its’ demise.

The first flaw was that El Ron—as was already well established over his 40 years of life—did not play well with others. You see other people have ideas, too, about how things should be run, what is right and what is wrong, what is fair and other silly silly stuff like that. Hubris.

The second flaw was that El Ron wanted to “take from the till” whatever, whenever Hisself pleased. The only problem El Ron ever had with money is that Hisself never had enough. How much was that? All of it. Greed.

The third flaw was the real killer—accountability. El Ron hated to be accountable for any of his actions and, in particular, accountability to anyone that had the “teeth” to judge or enforce "specific performance". Fear.

Hubris, Greed and Fear—the “Drivers” to El Ron’s Green on White “Tech”.

Hubris and fear mixed together (shall we say, “shaken not stirred”) makes for a very crazy “Cocktail” and greed makes you blind, always in all ways. I know that some may say that I forgot that El Ron was a “control freak”.

Well to me Hubris begets the inner “license and authorization” to control with impunity. Fear begets the level of desperation and viciousness one will resort to “protect” one's control. Greed begets the pathological need and desire for control—control of attention, admiration, “love”, money, emotions, actions and thoughts, on and on—and renders you blind as to any hurt, damage and destruction you cause.

HGF did in the first Foundation. As the Foundation fell, El Ron did as Hisself had always done—run for it. Only this time Hisself got away with the Ace of Spades—Mary Sue. This “Ace of Spades” would eventually turn upside-down for El Ron. You see, folks, one thing that I learned from my “Face Time” years with El Ron and Mary Sue is that El Ron could be absolutely “Brilliant” but Mary Sue was a whole lot “Smarter” than Hisself.

And thusly was born the “Religion” of “Scientology” and its’ demon seed the “Church” of Scientology. I don’t think El Ron ever set out to be a Demonic Cult Leader…Hisself just did what came “naturally” as Hisself always had…make it all up “on the fly”, don’t get caught and if you “think” or “feel” you’re about to get caught, run for it. However, this time El Ron had something Hisself never had before; Someone with more guts, gumption and guile (Balls) than Hisself and was willing to invest their entire life in backing up and protecting El Ron and bringing to “fruition” Hisself’s “full potential”. The kids were the “glue” that cemented her to the relationship. As the old saying goes, “In the jungle the Lioness with Cubs is the most deadly of the Specie.” I’m tellin’ ya, folks…Mary Sue was one smart, savvy, smooth, stealthy and very deadly feline.

With Scientology El Ron and Mary Sue had the opportunity to use a proven American Business Model that was best “suited” for El Ron’s considerable “abilities and talents” and they would parlay and “pioneer and refine” that Model with a “New Age” twist. The result?

Elmer Gantry goes Atomic Age and Space Opera.

The Elmer Gantry Model depends on New Venues, New Sinners, New True Believers, New Stories Relating Scriptures, New Interpretations of Scriptures, and New “Twists” to the Tried and True “Routines”. And, what are the “Tried and True Routines”?

Anything that gives you more “New’s” and, most most importantly, makes you money.

El Ron’s “new twist” on Elmer? El Ron got to write the Scriptures and interpret and Hisself had a host of others that “gave” El Ron or “inspired” the material for the Scriptures.

El Ron also wrote Scriptures that Hisself didn’t believe for a minute but knew most of us would “buy”. I’ll tell yall a little Baby Face and El Ron Story about that in a day or so. Sorry to do that to ya, folks, but I’m just plain “wrote out” for now.

Face:)

Aw, I like to think of little Baby Face...I can't wait for the story! :happydance:

I like the word, "Huckster" for both of them...

I find this a trifle offensive.

PT Barnum was a showman, a producer of entertainment.

Here is a picture taken by Matthew Brady at the wedding of Tom Thumb to Lavinia Warren

From left to right: George Washington Morrison Nutt (1844–1881), Charles Sherwood Stratton AKA Tom Thumb (1838–1883), Lavinia Warren Stratton (1841–1919), Minnie Warren (1841–1878).

Nobody gives Rock Hudson, Tab Hunter, Michael Keaton, Tom Cruise, or Judy Garland static for changing their names.

It is part of the entertainment business.

PT Barnum's "Greatest Show on Earth" is still playing to packed arenas 100 years later. I love the circus. The musical, "Barnum" is terrific.

I don't think the Sea Org or the Churches of Scientology will be around in one hundred years.

PT Barnum was a showman. He was not an evil enslaver and he gave value for the money he got from his patrons.

HAVE YOU SEEN THE EGRESS??? People followed this sign out a door that automatically closed and locked behind them, so they had to pay again to get back in and see the rest of the exhibition... :D. Oh well, I will always love him for making "Jumbo" a star, and hauling him around in train car, which eventually killed him, poor thing...

How many people here have been to the P.T. Barnum museum??? (I have!) :)

I've not been to the museum, but I've seen the stage play many times. I have the album on i tunes. In storage, I have the record album, Barnum. A long time ago, I used to play records. Hard to believe.

Baby Face Becomes Face

This story is about another of the times Face was a member of a small Entourage for one of Hisself’s Hobby Horse activities. Due to the nature of this particular activity one of the Entourage was a Senior GO Heavy. Hisself was having a wonderful time on his “steed”; El Ron was in one of Hisself’s “Grand” moods and, when El Ron was in “Grand” mood mode, El Ron randomly pontificated about various subjects until the mood wore off. As was customary on these occasions, the Veteran Entourage members cooed and ooed flawlessly, flublessly.

El Ron consistently, and with impunity, knocked people’s hats off. By this time Baby Face had been part of the “inner circle” long enough to know that El Ron only followed Hisself’s Policy when El Ron felt like it. Things were starting to “not add up” for yours truly, and today was the day Baby Face became just Face.

During today’s impromptu sermonettes El Ron took the opportunity to knock Mary Sue’s hat off. Ya see folks, the GO was currently involved with a nasty little squabble with a local “shore official”. El Ron decided to take this time and this moment to “wade in”.

Abruptly shifting topics and fixing Hisself’s “El Ron in a Grand Mood” eyes on the GO Heavy, El Ron began, “Now there’s a good way to handle that Bird, 'So and So', you know?”

The GO Heavy froze, caught in the akward dynamic of it all. “Well, ah, yes Sir,” Stammered Heavy, “CS-G (Mary Sue) approved and we are implementing ‘Operation Blah Blah’ on 'So and So.'"

“You do is this,” El Ron breezed on, as though Heavy never had said a word, and proceeded with Hisself’s “advice”. Over the next 10 or 15 minutes, bolstered by Heavy’s, “Yes, Sir’s”, “Very Good, Sir’s” and “I understand, Sir’s”, El Ron laid “It” all out on the table.

El Ron talked about how to use the “Good’s” (Intel) we had on “So and So”. That “So’s”
“weakness” to exploit was the fact that he was openly a devout Christian. That the Minister of the Church “So” attended was, "a Man of God, hah, hah and those 'Birds' are easy to 'get to' because they've got whole track indoctrination and 'teachings' they're supposed to live by and they are all 'stuck' in a 'goody two-shoes' implant. All you have to do is use the precepts of their religion as the 'lever' and they are easily controlled." El Ron finished with a little “tech” on how to apply all this “wisdom” Hisself had just given to Heavy, in front of the Entourage and Baby Face.

“You go and do this and 'So’s' Minister will shut him up for you,” El Ron crowed. Hisself then explained how the GO should set up a situation where an “operative” would wind up in a “chance” meeting with the Minister and tell him what a good Christian and wonderful man of God we think he is and how we know, as a Christian, what “So” is doing and saying is not "Christ-like” but we forgive him and still love him, as a “child of God”. El Ron’s “Tech Statement” was that this was using the 3rd Party Law in reverse, and Hisself had done that many times successfully. El Ron’s “premise” was that “So’s” Minister would be so enamored with the “compliment” and “attention” and the statement would “trigger” "so's" Minister to go tell “So” to “Pipe down” about us...“Just like that!” Snickered El Ron with a finger snap.

“You Cats need to learn how to do that,” El Ron concluded with Hisself’s “famous” guttural chuckle/laugh. And, with that said, El Ron El Rey, re-mounted Hisself's trusty steed and the entourage gathered nigh to “attend” Hisself as El Ron, red hair flying, yet again “rode like the wind” until Supper Time.

There are two things I can say, with certainty, came out of all this:

1. The GO Operation Blah Blah turned out like an super-glue laced turd-bomb.

2. Face was no longer a baby. Face had another, “That’s kinda Spooky” and
this one, added on top of the predecessors, “turned on” a gnawing,
nagging “disturbance in Face's "Force”. Face’s “Afternoon with Source” had
rendered a new context from which to view “My Philosophy”, “What Is
Greatness”, “Credo of a Good and Skilled Manager” and all the rest of El
Ron’s “Scriptures”.

Oh, and years later I realized that this was the moment that the "Genus" of El Ron's "Leadership" Model was revealed before my eyes, but I just didn’t have a “frame of reference" for “It” at the time. I’ll explore that in a day or so.

Face:)

Manic Depressive

Face, your story continues to elucidate the real LRH. Crazier by the post.

A member of this board originated to me privately that added to LRH's long list

of mental diseases should be "Manic-Depressive".

Your story here proves it to me.

There you go, Face, a little musical tribute to you before LRH forced you prematurely to become the big grown up serious face.

That's quite a tale of woe. I figured out a long time ago that LRH did not follow his own tech, you know, as in such minor dealings as writing up his various hats and assigning a successor for each hat at body death. I did not realize that he would apply his tech in reverse to influence and intimidate others. Really, a Reverse 3rd party law, applied to Christians.

I've picked up on using a Christian's beliefs to my advantage in business. For instance, I know that if there is an argument or a fight, the Christian will forgive you. You can prevail upon a Christian to forgive you or to turn the other cheek or various things of that nature. Also, if they think you are one of them, they may be more likely to sign with you in a sales situation.

Hubbard took it several steps further than that, however. From what you tell us, he would manipulate their beliefs in a manner calculated to use and take advantage of them. This is in effect, making mockery of their religion and that it a no-no according to Hiself's own codes.

Thanks for your comments, Blue.

By “Silencer” I meant this:

If El Ron got POed at you, Hisself made a big show of it. If El Ron was POed enough Hisself would through you in the "garbage can" and if you “survived”, and had some value to Hisself, El Ron would sometimes pluck you out later. During the old days aboard the Apollo many folks went in the "garbage can" and were plucked out many times over a relatively short period of time. However, if Hisself was really, really POed El Ron "blew your brains out" in public a la Otto Roos.

If Mary Sue was PO’ed at you you’d often times not know it. You’d all of a sudden be getting a Sec Check, the 3rd mate (I&R) would start snoopin’ around your area...sometimes, after we were on land, it would be GO B1 heavies…stuff like that. If she was POed enough Ethics Section would get real active on you, some kinda “dirt” would show up in the 3rd Mates hands and you were in the "garbage can"…and you didn’t get plucked. If you “survived” the "garbage can" you eventually had a low posting or were transferred to a land based SO unit…either way, your career was permanently “stained”. If Mary Sue was really, really POed you just quietly disappeared one night...offloaded.

Face:)

I noticed a lot of people in Scn operated the way Mary Sue did -- never directly attacking, but instead getting others to attack you.

The reason that savvy/sneaky execs did it this way, is that you could never know if the person you attacked might suddenly wind up having more power than you (or you suddenly being busted to a position where you would be vulnerable to him). So he would try to put as many proxies as possible between him and you, so you could never be sure where the attack was coming from.

Good Point, I think it happened to me!

When I got busted as CC Programs' Chief on Flag, a Commodore's messenger came by and told me that LRH said that he knew about my embezzling funds from CCLA Treasury. This was an absurd and ridiculous charge! When I got back to L.A. and met with Yvonne, I told her about this and she told me that I was 3rd partied. I believed that for the next 35 years, up until last year. Now I know that when LRH busted someone, he often accused them of an extremely major crime because he found out that often they would deny that but offer up a smaller crime instead. This was apparently fairly routine procedure. Therefore, no 3rd party was necessary, LRH made the accusation on his own.

Had I had known that accusation came directly from LRH, I may have wised up sooner than I did and left earlier. Since I thought that someone had 3rd partied me to LRH, I still blindly kept following him feeling that he was duped into believing that I committed embezzlement so he should not be the target of my ire but rather the supposed party who accused me was the right target for me to detest.

LRH was the savviest and sneakiest Exec there was Thetanic, so what happened to me backs up your theory as you stated in your quote.

Yes. Compare that behavior to the definition of "covert hostility". :whistling:

What I have noticed with Manipulators is they usually have Good and Bad sides

to play cards from so as to use the tool that at any one time will get the

Controlling result they crave and need. They will bounce you between those

Good and Bad sides to keep you confused and stick your attention.

Very subtle and very Suppressive.

The Mini-LRH I've dealt with recently who assumed LRH's valences is a prime
example.
Also look at the Friendsoflrh.org website for a similar dichotomy which says
LRH was all Good and Miscavige was all bad (the latter, probably true).
You see how you are manipulated into having a certain opinion.

Just more insanity from Scientology, in my opinion.

There was a time when I was sec-checked, and one question was "Have you been covertly hostile to (senior terminal X)?". My reply was "Actually, I thought I was being very openly hostile to X. I don't think there was any covertness to my hostility".

Auditor didn't know what to do next, so moved on to the next question.

To my earlier list, I would add another reason to attack through proxies: you can never be sure when somebody you attack is going to decide that he's had enough, and come back for a visit:
