Telling one's own story can be journalistically sound.

Dalai Lama: "One of the most effective ways to overcome anxiety is to try to shift the focus of attention away from self and toward others. When we succeed in this, we find that the scale of our own problems diminishes. This is not to say we should ignore our own needs altogether, but rather that we should try to remember others' needs alongside our own, no matter how pressing ours may be."

He's right, you know.

Personally beef up your own or permit another to beef up on you the self-interest, the self-investment, the self-importance and the potential for upset looms large. YOUR bridge, YOUR case, YOUR next level, YOUR post, YOUR stats, YOUR conditions... MY bridge, MY case, etc.

Ted, basically I agree with what you are saying. Even so, I think there is value in sharing personal anecdotes with your audience. I would love to be able to write and talk more about things other than myself and my experiences but those are the only things I am really qualified to comment on.

This whole thread was originally predicated on telling stories experienced by a "nobody". I didn't work with Ron, I only made the level of a Director when on staff, my parents did not have wealth or fame. We all led just average lives. I had noticed that people enjoyed hearing things as told from the viewpoint of the "little guy", the average Joe. I think some good examples are Willie Loman's life in the play, Death of a salesman, Rodney Dangerfield's jokes about "I don't get no respect." Roseanne Barr rising from nowhere and with limited talent, becoming one of the top people on television just depicting an average life.

When Hubbard was writing fiction, I remember reading a line where he said a good writer acted as the eyes and ears of those who wanted to go to far away exotic places but who couldn't. He took them there with his story telling skills. The great Mark Twain appeared to have an average backgound but he took people to exotic places and told fascinating stories. Because of telling about his own expolits, his life became legendary and he took people mentally to places which they never would have known about.

All I had going for me was above average (but not ultra above average) intelligence, good story telling ability, honesty and forthrightness and a really excellent memory. When I first got to ESMB, I was trying to think what to write about and thought a lot of people wish they could have been on the Apollo when Ron was there and that I could take them there.

That is how I started this thread. I developed a following just based on telling stories and giving points of view honestly from the point of view of someone who was basically a "nobody". If I talk too much about myself, and I believe I do, it is not really so much that it is about me, but I am just using my personal experiences to give an unbiased viewpoint of life as viewed through the eyes of "Joe average guy".

Some of the other posters on the thread do a lot of talking about their own experiences as well. Carmelo, writes and provides photos of his lifestyle and gets nothing but raves for doing so. His life is more storied than average, he knows a lot of well known people and the public likes to know a lot about celebrities and well known people just as they enjoy the views of Nobody's like Joe the Plumber in the 2008 election. Also, Johnny does his share of talking about his life and his exploits. His life is not the usual or average but he has had a remarkable life which people are actually DEMANDING to know more about. Probably in his case, it would be an overt act to not tell about his life and personal experiences. Face has revealed great details of his life as well and has a tremendous facitlity as a Will Rogers type of story teller.

SUMMARY - Your quoted comment is an excellent general truth. Just me, me, me, and I, I, I over and over is disgusting, monotonous and hard to take but I believe that if a person finds or creates a niche where he writes about himself with the intent to entertain, inform and provoke thought in others, then this person is consciously conducting an enrichment type of activity. I agree that even this can be carried too far. If it is kept within bounds and done tastfully and if people are being entertained, informed and provoked then there is no need for a writer to reign himself in.

There is some more to it though, Lakey.:D

You see, when one reaches out to others, by what ever means and for whatever reason, one expands and in a sense "creates space"; though it is more correct to say that one expands one's dimension.

It is an interesting thing to observe that without terminals to flow to or exchange with, one has very little power . . . certainly one is not able to express one's power without a terminal to manifest power with and flow it towards, even if only using the physical universe as a terminal.

Indeed, I recently had the insight, and it was quite a large cognition and huge case gain, that when I was declared SP and booted out of the church I lost all my comm-lines and terminals . . . and the impact on me was, at the time, that to a large extent I lost my space and "power of reach."

It was only in spotting that tech point that I was able to recently fully handle the effects on me of the SP declare and "loss" that occurred back in 1984-5.

So the Dalai Lama is quite wise. Putting your attention out off of self and onto others is a smart move and a very good thing for folks to do.

This datum also gives us further insight into the evil that LRH practiced and made law for his followers. Don't kid yourself he didn't know the destructive effects the dictum of "disconnection" has on those upon whom it is practiced.

Agreed! Very helpful piece of tech and well stated.

Agreed with same comment as above!

The Dalai Lama appears quite wise to me also. Where is his wisdom supposed to derive from. Is it supposed to be passed forward through generations of Dalai Lamas or does each new one have to study and meditate from scratch?

Roger, you and Ted are correct. I agree totally in principle. It is in the practice of your wisdom where I seem to have a different slant than the 3 of you, Ted, the Dalai Lama and yourself.

This thread was first set up just to tell my story. It was Carmelo who wanted to build up readership and provide more audience for people of wisdom such as yourself and Ted to communicate to. Notice the signature line of all Ted's posts, it fits in nicely with the tech which you covered in your reply to me above. Carmelo said that I had a good writing style and asked if I was interested in building the thread so as to provide more high level readers for people who were tech wise and were opinion leaders. I immediately jumped on this bandwagon because I needed something to shoot for on the 3rd and 4th dynamics.

What we have created here speaks for itself. We have created a large coterie here, "a small often select goup of persons who associate with one another frequently". I have reached out to each and every one of the thousands of people who read this thread but it is much more than just me, each one of us is benefiting from the current existence of this thread and the various interchanges which are taking place amongst its members.

My dimensiion has expanded enormously, far more than anything I ever considered possible but much more important than that, my activities have enabled people such as you, Ted, Carmelo, Face and scores of others too numerous to mention to increase your dimension as well and that was Carmelo's plan and was my plan. My plan absoluely included zero effort towards self aggrandizement - the only thing I personally was looking for initially was to reconnect with other exes and perhaps make some new friends.

My stock in trade towards achieving my goal was writing anecdotes about my own life. I found out that I had a good story telling style and people enjoyed to some extent reading about things I experienced. Had I not talked a great deal about myself, there is absolutely no way this forum would be anywhere near what it is now. Perhaps, now that the deed is done, and thousands of people have added dimension as result, I should de emphasize talking about my self and cut it down to almost nothing. Face took over the story telling for a while and now, thanks to Blue Spirit, Johnny is with us. Carmelo has cranked up his efforts. With this new cast of leadership, and in particular with Johnny posting heavily here for now, maybe I should finally stop talking about my self, I will give it a try and see what happens. Again, Roger and Ted, thank you for pointing these things out to me!

I wish I may I wish I might, read more Chronicles before tonight.

Magic,

Oh man! While reading your recent long post that offered, "Trapped on the Road to Total Freedom 3rd Submission 3rd Chapter of The Johnny Raff Chronicles - The Scientology Years" I, like you, momentarily wandered an aberrated road.

In my zig-zaggy path, I took a few moment to cuss you out, as they say, "up one side and down the other." I am consumed with desire to read, "The Rest of the Story," and each (grudging) episode you offer tends to exacerbate the situation. :grouch:

Yeah. You've got some typos. So what? There are some places where, were I editing, I'd ask, "Did you mean to write XXX?" (And hey, I'LL GLADLY EDIT -- if that means I get the whole thing, all at once!) But, even so, I'm pretty sure I 'got' what you mean.

It was a splendid read!

More please.

Best,

G.

I wrote this before I discovered that Ikwdblds told the story on an earlier post about out lunch, but hopefully you will enjoy it anyway.

Big Johnny Raff
Chapter - 1 Part - 1

The Johnny Raff Chronicles - The Early Years
Pop Story Number - 1 - Thank You Sweetheart

:) It had been my intention to first write The Johnny Raff Chronicles - The Scientology Years, then The Post Scientology Years, Then The Early Years and then The Magic Years. I figured it would take twelve books to do that, but some things just can’t wait.

:thankyou: In honor or afaceinthecrowd, who graciously said that my post # 4126 entitled “Cancellation of My Certs” was my best post yet, and in honor of him touching my heart and my memories when he said, “I wanna hear more sometime about your daddy…sounds like he was one helluva character”, I am going to do it.

I am going to jump ahead, and tell you a Pop story. Then, every now and then, I will tell another.

:happydance: In fact I am so excited about sharing this first one, I am not even going to get it proof read, which a dangerous undertaking for me.

So hear goes.

:cheers2: Pop, or Big Johnny Raff, as he was affectionately known to everyone, was a small town bookie that everybody bet with, from Mayer Casey, to the guy on the street, but there was nothing small about Pop. He was the genuine article - a guy who went head on into life with a gusto - a guy generous to a fault (although it was not a fault - people loved him for it) and a guy we all loved more that we can say.

:depressed: When Pop was in his later years, he used to sit on the porch and talk to all the woman who came by. Hell, he always talked to all the woman who came by.

One day, a gal sat down with him, and after a bit, she exclaimed her surprise when she discovered that Pop was eighty five.

“Your eighty five?” she exclaimed. “You look great for eighty five.”

:ripped: With one of Pop inimitable expressions he replied, “I’d rather be sixty, and look like Shit!”

You hear stories about the last thing your father said to you before he died.

Well, toward the very end of his life, I was in the hospital with him on a few different occasions when he was in a coma, but I could always bring him out of it.

I would read him Scientology to piss him off, and it always worked.

 “That son of a bitch Hubbard,” he would say as he emerged from the coma. “He owes me money, he welched on a bet.”

Actually he never met Hubbard, but he forever feigned disgust that I had gotten into Hubbard's crazy subject after Pop had paid for me to go to a legitimate engineering college.

However, the last time I visited Pop in the hospital, I couldn’t reach him.

Nothing I did would bring him out of the coma.

I tried reading him Scientology. I even told him that Hubbard was here to pay him the money he owed him, but nothing worked.

So I drifted over to the chair in the corner and my eyes filled with tears at the thought that Big Johnny Raff was on the way out.

Just them, this pretty nurse came in to straighten out the room.

On the way out I said to her, “Thank you sweetheart.”

Well that did it.

Pop came right out of the coma.

“Who you calling sweetheart!”, he said, “That’s my girl!”, and he was gone.

It was the last thing I ever heard him say, and it was Pop to the core.

Thank you, TMT.

Good stuff.

Face, after replying to Blip, I just noticed and read your story about your family and school years. Simply outstanding writing with a great universal human interest story. I can't wait for the next installment.

If I had not returned to the Apollo '73 story in October of 2009, to write my CCLA story and the Apollo '73 thread never took off, I believe your story, judging from the opening chapter, would have become the Apollo "73 thread, with a different name of course.

But anyway, I am glad you are posting here and that we have provided you with a large and well informed audience who already greatly appreciate you. Right now I believe the amount of power being generated by this thread is astounding. It is no longer flippant or just idle fun to read and post here. THere are so many great articles coming out, that is now in the class of must reading! If you don't put in at least an hour or two on this thread daily nowadays, you are exhibiting dereliction of duty.

I have been having big cogs on this during the past month too. The power of relationships in regard to one's beingness. I do recall at times living in an island universe out in deep space where my sense of WHO I am was not influenced by outside determinisms or contacts at all. But the 'idea' of what I was doing was part of a scheme somehow in the back of my mind. A scheme that included an idea of some 'other' game on the fringes which evolved me into the hermetic circumstances no matter how long ago it was.

I realize I relate differently to people when I have a small savings account than when I have a huge savings account and investments. The sense of Who I am is based on a track of substantialities mocked up behind me 'backing up' my idea of me. I am sure that at the end of the 1920's before a man actually read the bank closing notices he felt quite differently about his potential. Some marriage counselors say lack of virility is also psychologically based. We seem to depend upon and require substantiated agreement and track to hold us up unmockably to the challengers of what we are. And I'm sure we've developed good reasons for this.

To say you are a writer when you do not have the materials to write with and nothing to write about or anyone who can read is going to be revealing. You will find that identity dissolving. It is not supported in a network. One has a purpose in a certain direction. So one has to be first choose a location or stance to direct the action/purpose from. This requires some kind of relationship or role created in response to something else.
I am reminded here of 1870's poet Arthur Rimbaud and when he went out to Harrar like other African traders to participate in the scramble for trade. Up there in Ethiopia with natives who were illiterate and his fellow Europeans way up in the Abyssinian plateau he was no longer 'the poet'. He took to writing long journals of travels and events to his familiy in the Charleville, France. It kept him sane because being an author was his core mocked up identity remaining mostly unchanging. But this identity depended upon people to affect by 'writing'.

Lakey, it is really okay, good, and alla that to be somebody, to have a persona, to exist, to express oneself, to tell a story -- even with self as the main character, ... That is not the point I am trying to make. The point is how the obsessive self of self-importance relates to by-passed charge. Even hubbard said as much in one of his axioms or observations. I do not have it before me but it is something about self-determinism being the sole source of aberration.

Excellent, I'm in good shape then! I don't consider that I am very important and I have no obsessiveness to talk about my self. Do you remember that episode of the ventroloquist and his dummy on "Rod Serling's "Twilight Zone"? Somebody bet the ventroloquist that he could not refrain from saying things through the dummy for 1 hour. The ventroloquist took the bet and could not even last 10 minutes. He lost his bet, his girl friend and I believe his life. At the end of the episode, the dummy had come to life and was runing his former ventroloquist. Talk about a compulsion.

For continuity's sake...

This is a wonderful post, Face - and it was too far on the backtrack! A lot of stuff is going on, so I fixed that! :coolwink:

EP

“Never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never - in nothing great or small, large or petty - never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense.” Sir Winston Churchill

“It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog.” Mark Twain

Near the end of my Soph year the Butcher merged his shop with a local grocer and created the first quasi supermarket in our little town. Already a trained meat cutter, I learned to order and handle a produce section, grocery section and Dairy box. I was lightening fast on a cash register and stocking shelves, popular with the customers, many of whom had become very friendly, interested in me and became my own little booster club. Football was becoming my best sport, Lettering as a Soph and in my Junior year I was first string Slotback and Strong Safety (All League, Honorable Mention). Academically I wasn’t a super star but was holding my own in the advance college prep group. I was dating the daughter—a real looker and a Senior— of two professors at the county community college and life was good, life was simple.

Then began a series of events that would drastically alter the course of my life and, eventually, usher me in to Scientology.

My father found another woman in another town about 60 miles away that was more to his liking and just happened to be a wealthy widow. In December of my Junior year he just disappeared one day, called my mother and told her it was over, that he wasn’t coming back and that was final. I didn’t hear squat or see boo of him for 6 months. My mother, of course, was a basket case. She spent hours in tirades about how bad he was and how I was just like him and she pitied any woman that would marry me. Her “fallback” was Jesus and, though already a Born Again, Fundamentalist Christian, she left the bible thumper church that she and my father were longtime members of and fell in with an evangelical, speaking in tongues, literally Holy Roller bunch. Often when I came home at 9:00 after work she’d have a dozen or more of her new “friends” in the house and some of them would be rolling on the floor, shaking and ranting in “tongues” while the rest sat there moaning, “Praise Jesus, Yes Jesus, take me Jesus”. She’d insisted that I always come and say “hello” to each one of them. The look in their eyes was real spooky and it all creeped me out…bad.

School, work and sports, more than ever, became my refuge. I’d leave home early in the morning after my chores and came back late in the evening, do some chores, study some, read some and try to sleep. In some ways my life had not change all that much from my parents situation. I had many friends at school, had all my customer friends at work and my jock buddies. My father had never attended one my games and I could count on one hand the number of times we had done father/son stuff and even then, it was about him. My mother had only been to one game, which we lost, and afterwards she derided for how poorly I and teammates had played. She had also attended a couple choir performances but again, as far as she was concerned I wasn’t and the choir wasn’t very good. Of course, all four years I was in High School I had sung in the Advanced/Madrigal Choir and all four of those years our group received 9 out 9 Superior ratings at the Regional a cappella tournament. I rarely ever talked with anyone about my home life as it was embarrassing to me and seemed pointless. I knew what the solution was—to walk away when I finished High School…that was my hope, my dream and I thought little about my future beyond that.

Our football team that year went from next to last place my Soph year to second place. We had a new coach that was young, really good, inspiring and very much into making us the best men and team we could be. By the end of the year 70% of the starters were my fellow juniors. We had a good shot at being league champions our Senior year. After the season Mr. Head Coach called me into his office for a chat. He told me that as long as I kept my grades up he was confident I could get a scholarship to a Division II school, possibly Division 1AA, maybe even a 1A. He said he’d help me all he could to get one but I needed to make some choices.

I was an OK basketball player but likely to never be a starter, he said. He was right and I agreed. I was a good Baseball player, a pitcher with a gun for an arm but control problems and it would take a lot of work and practice to be a starter. He was right and I agreed. “Okay, Face,” he said, “here’s my deal, man to man. You give up basketball and baseball. Next semester I’ll get you put in my last period PE class. The rules won’t let me teach to any football but It will let me coach at weight training, agility and conditioning. Both terms this summer school the rules say that me and one other coach can teach body building and conditioning and you take both terms. We gotta get you bigger and quicker. You’re going to be the 2nd string Slotback next year because we’re going to concentrate on the position that you’ve got the best shot at getting a full ride.”

“You’re a real hitter son.” Coach continued. “You gotta a good head for the game and a nose for the ball. Look Face, I know you’ve got some tough stuff going on and I’m not gonna tell you how I know that, but I do, and that’s none of my business. What my business is is to make boys into men and, as far as I’m concerned you’re farther along than most…you just gotta suck it up and put it in the end zone, son. I can and I will help you, but you’re the one that’s gotta carry the ball.” He told me to think about, that it was my decision and up to me, that simple.

For me it was Ms. Angel and the Butcher all over again…someone believed in me, someone was gonna help me and give me a chance. I told Coach, then and there without hesitation, I was in and I wasn’t going to let him down. We stood up and shook hands, eye to eye, man to man. For weeks my head was in the clouds. I was gonna do this…no matter what it took, I was going to give it everything I had…I was going to make this happen! Nothing and no one was going to stop me.

Over the course of the rest of the school year I had less and less time for my personal reading pursuits. My focus was on preparing for the coming football season and my coming opportunity to vault into a new life. My reading shifted to stories of overcoming adversity, of determination and the “Philosophy and Tech” of football.

I could sense it, I could feel it in my heart and soul!

My moment was upon me!

Yes, I do remember that one.

The one that impressed me the most was with a gambler having a discussion with the devil(?) about odds of a coin landing heads or tails. Those two choices were demonstrably shut down when the devil flipped the coin and it landed on its rim.

Rod Serling thought outside the box.

I loved the shows. Remember many of them that I saw as a young kid.

I'm way behind on this tread . . . . it's moving fast, folks!

this is my response to Raffo's post #4725 on this thread.

Dear Raffo, and all you other good folks reading this thread :D

Much came to my mind as I read this “response to FoTi” . . . :D and so, in the vein of exposition, I’ll relate what came to my mind. Please don’t take anything of what I am about to write here as an evaluation of what should be or should have been for you.

In reality, it is a little technical exposition and one based on what came to mind for me as I was reading Raffo’s post. On that basis, the thoughts will be set against the parts that sparked for me.

The first thing to say is that, for me, and based on what I am seeing in Raffo’s posts and certainly based on the video of him at the 4th July FZ party, and also in the nature of many of the positive responders to Raffo, I’d say there has been a rather vast and enhanced upgrading of mood and operating basis.

Having Raffo back on lines (we’ve exchanged PMs and a phone call) and reading what he has had to say has done two key things for me:
a) it has empowered me and raised my spiritual tone level, thus making me more aware, able and accurate (spiritually) and,
b) his dialogue has rekindled in me the truth that one can and should have the positive . . . that is, and what I am really wanting to state here, is that one should only expect, manifest, experience, create and have the positive. I say this in contrast to the “usual” one has (I have) often slipped into of expecting, or continuing to have, experiencing and unwittingly creating the negative and the actually unwanted. :duh:

The mechanism is simple, and based on a little bit of negligence and bad habit by us. There’s a sequence to it that we often get trapped with. It oft happens that we were happily doing and having our positive and wanted thing, and some sort of negative or unwanted occurs that we don’t want to experience; and we goof by coming off of the continued expectation of the positive and the continued creation and having of the positive to instead resist or solve the introduced negative. The trap with this is that the continued expectation can then be one of the negative to resist: instead of the prior continued expectation of the wanted and the positive. :duh:

I say this because, Raffo with his writings reminded me of this phenomena, and I thus began to restore my ability and capacity of operation wherein, at a physical bodily level, I have begun to operate on the basis of having and expecting and thus putting back in place the prior positive undamaged, unaltered physical bodily conditions of yore.

It has been an interesting experience this past week or two. I’ve had unwanted bodily conditions (hey, I’m well into in my 75th year, what can I say?) evaporating and ceasing to be as I instead found myself being aware of, expecting and having the prior, original (to a degree) body conditions . . . the conditions that existed prior to some old injuries or affects of “age.”

It has been absolutely fascinating to be able to spiritually operate without the automatic resistings of “bad” conditions I’d “suffered” over the years, and to instead of automatically mocking up or having the old resisted injury or effects of aging (or stuck physical universe impression of same) affecting my body, to be able to have the prior unaffected condition.

The big lesson it seems, is that persistent “resistance” at a spiritual level is a wrong answer. :duh: Yes, danger and unwanteds in the present are to be handled, with a correct handling; but solutions that include a continued resistance of unwanteds is dumb!

Of course, it is true, the physical body is a lot slower in its change than I am, so, now that the “image” of an aging process or injury is removed, I have the joy of watching the body going through its reparation cycle as things restore to their un-injured or “youthful” condition. It is also true that I have a fair amount of this to deal with . . . hey, I’ve lived an active life, what can I say?

But, to say the least, the changing scenario is quite an experience! :D

Of course, this little technical truth also operates in the spiritual/mental realm as well.

Hmmmmm, Raffo, you really got me thinking here on this one.

First, I have to say your statement : “The ability to respond in a FEEL GOOD manner to anything that does or does not happen in your life,” is a rather neat statement.

For me, though, I am looking at its application.

For me, there are various levels of operating in the game of relationships.

For example, one of the things I observe since you have come “back on lines” is a tremendous uplifting of the abilities and faculties we spiritual Beings operate with when at our highest level . . . you know, things like spiritual “telepathic” communication and such. You know, the “OT” abilities that some are wont to shout do not exist.

And it appears from what I am reading on the threads, that there has been a resurgence of these faculties and abilities with you on the lines.

There are two comments I would make in this context. One is based on the issue of DUPLICATION, and the other is the PHENOMENA ASSOCIATED WITH ASCENDING TO HIGHER LEVELS OF AWARENESS, ABILITY AND POWERS.

On the issue of duplication, you will remember LRH in his Axioms of SOP 8-C said: “FUNDAMENTAL: The basic action of existence is Duplication.” He then wrote a whole list of Axioms on the subject of duplication . . . not all of which I find to be wholly correct or truthful, by the way. But the above “fundamental” is close enough to work with.

From my personal experience of posting on ESMB, I have found the following. One posts with an expectation (in mind). The outcome of the posting can be either the expectation is met or it is not met.

So the issues now become several:
Who did not duplicate what?
What was not duplicated?
Where was it not duplicated at?

Who duplicated what?
What was duplicated?
Where was it duplicated at?

There are a number of permutations on those possibilities, of course . . . and one could probably also locate further possibilities on the basic theme.

But, basically, I have found I do not have to experience “everything” . . . . while it may be an ideal to be able to “experience anything” . . . the author of that little ditty sure as hell didn’t and wouldn’t! And it may be that to be able to do so would mean that one would not ever again suffer anything :melodramatic: I personally find it unnecessary to experience that which I do not choose to.

My formula for handling this is based on the permutations of the above possibilities for duplication :p

Personally, I have found that I do not have to duplicate at here, and have and suffer at here what another is either having at or creating from there. It’s his. Leave it there.

If another misduplicates my communication, it is because of one or more of three possibilities: a) I did not communicate precisely enough, b) the other did not receive precisely enough or, c) the other is deliberately refusing to receive the communication and is distorting and misrepresenting the actuality of it.

Spotting which it is, is simple and so are the remedies. And I personally have found it to be a “mug’s game” to accept and duplicate at here the deliberate distorting and misrepresentation (misduplication) that is created at there by those who are in the unfortunate condition of doing this on automatic or who wish to be destructive in this manner. It’s their creation: leave it there (at where they are).

One of course needs to be wise enough to have sensible expectations based on a correct perception of those to whom one is communicating. In a group scenario such as we have on ESMB :D destructive retaliation is par for the course for some of them :duh: Why duplicate it??

Well, the refutation of one’s expectations when communicating can come as a hit if one did not expect such a refutation. But all that is handled by having a correct expectation based on correct perception of the terminal(s) being communicated to.

The other side of the coin is to do with one’s “OT” powers and powers of reach, spiritual and telepathic perception and duplication. Realize we do spiritually connect with these characters we communicate with, and to that degree, we do tend to duplicate the condition and the creations they have at their position on the comm-line. The trick, I find, is to not wear their shit here! It’s theirs and, in fact, precise duplication of the scenario is that it is theirs and that it is located there where they are . . . not here where we are. :D

One of the liabilities of ascending up into the realm of “OT” abilities is that one trips into one’s old failed activities and old misused abilities such as we are discussing here. And one can appear to have “losses” due to it . . . in reality, if one is wise, life is telling one that here is an opportunity to handle an old screwed up ability and restore it to optimum.

This is part of the tech on the ascension crash and burn phenomena Alan discovered.

We can goof by not recognizing we have come up into the next higher level of case and screwed up ability/inability to handle, and instead in error bemoan the strife we experience and begin again in indulging old wrong answer/solutions.

Yes, well . . . . . :D

LRH said something I read many, many moons ago that I felt was rather clever, even exact; and I’ve retained it as a bit of my operating truth.

He wrote that (and I paraphrase from memory): “The basic overt act on the track is probably the making of another guilty for their actions or cause.”

Committing this overt on others causes them to reduce their powers and cause and position in the game. It caves them in.

And, as I wrote in an earlier post on this thread, it’s the good guys who are most prone to succumb to this action against them to cave them in, make them less and to reduce their cause and power levels and position in the game.

I have snipped the rest of Raffo’s post . . . .

So, folks, be the true, beautiful YOU.

RogerB

:happydance: A few thoughts about your thoughts....

:melodramatic: There is a great difference between being willing to experience anything, and choosing to experience anything.

:bigcry::storm::banghead:There are many things I do not choose to experience, :catfight:and many things I am not willing to experience.

:):thewave: I am working to increase my RESPONSE-ABILITY, my ability to respond in a FEEL GOOD way to what does, or does not happen in my life. I am seeking an ability to feel good no matter what, and to feel good most, if not all of the time. And I am also working to embrace the belief and the idea that only feel good things will happen in my life.

:whipped: I am NOT seeking to experience anything, for there are many things in my past I do not wish to experience again, and there are many things I have no desire to experience at all.

:witch2: So I hereby think the thought that only good things, and feel good people like you, will follow me all the days of my life.

I am working to have no thought that asserts that I will have to experience some things that I will have to work to feel good about.

:):cheerleader: I am seeking the ability to attract only FEEL GOOD people and happenings.

:):spacecraft: I am seeking to live like my alien friend Bashar. I am seeking to live in a world where wonder, magic, love, joy, ecstasy and FEEL GREAT FEELINGS are simply the way it is all of the time.

:party:I am seeking to ADMIRE AND RETIRE any thoughts that this is a pipe dream. I am seeking "not to face the reality" that people on Earth say I must face. I am seeking to face the reality I want to face, a reality of love, freedom and magnificence so grand that things can't get any better, and then they get better. I experienced that once, so I know it can happen. Now I am working to have it become the default mode of my life.

:goodluck:The Abraham/Hicks book and CD called, ""The Vortex" is a major part of my present tech. I love the idea presented in that materiel that a belief is just a thought we keep thinking. So I am working to think only feel good thoughts to the point where I only attract feel good things that are easy to experience.

:)So I hereby postulate and envision that my present and my future will be filled with things easy to experience, and I hereby postulate and decide, that I am now able to feel good no matter what.

:):cloud9: So I am now thinking of my friend Roger, and my feel good friends on ESMB, and darn if I ain't feeling good.

:):heartflower: Love and good feelings to you and yours, Johnny.

Magic,

Best,

G.

Thank You. Thank you. There will be more. I am doing what feels good and right to me, and it would feel good to me if you would feel good about how I am doing it. In fact it feels good to think that you only do things that feel good, and only think thoughts that feel good. Even if you don't, it feels good to think you do. love johnny

Well, John, what can I say?

I can, certainly, still feel good if it feels goodest to you to never post again. But, I gotta tell ya, "It will feel gooder if you post morer.

(Ah. Damn me. Let me try that again.)

I can, certainly, still feel good if it feels best to you to never post again. BUT. I must tell you, "It will feel better, if you can manage to post more and, perhaps, more often."

I presume, of course, that 'feel good' is not an absolute; that there are, indeed, degrees and ranges of 'good' that might include: good, better, and "Oh WOW!"

Here's hopin' that your postin' soon triggers your "Oh WOW!" button. :)

Best,

G.
