Yes, of course! Some poor, idiotic souls are totally, absolutely addicted to abuse! Alan even created some R/Ds designed specifically to handle such.

Some folks actually are perpetually doing that which causes them the be abused, either by others or by themselves. What else is a drug addict or alcoholic but a self abuser.

The key to it is that, that is the idiotic human level of existence . . . . this is the kind of stuff you see below 0.0 on the expanded emotional Tone Scale.

It's the colossally aberrated scenario wherein the individual is "punishing self," but it is not what he/she truly wants as a spiritual Being . . . it's the lost-out, failed-out solution to the game.

The other side of the coin is, who the hell in their right mind would want to have a relationship with such a Being? Only those who want that kind of losing game as a return flow . . . don't kid yourself that abusers of women are happy men (or visa versa).

And it is not really a "GPM" phenomenon: it's really down at the level of trying to solve what one does not want to experience by the use of a wrong answer.

Erin Pizzey founded the first "battered wives shelter" in the UK in 1971, since expanded to a network of such shelters. She had a unique opportunity to closely examine women in abusive relationships. She found two main categories: (1) the kind who got beat up and said "I'm out of here", and (2) the kind who kept going back for more. She wrote a book where she examined the second kind closely, a book which drew the ire of many feminists because of its politically incorrect conclusions.

There are women who are addicted to the adrenaline rush of being on the edge of violent danger.

You say potato, I say potato…

Rog, I am in agreement with you. Without getting caught up in semantics and a footnoted paper, here is some Wikipedia stuff re: administration and administrator.

In some organizational analyses, management is viewed as a subset of administration, specifically associated with the technical and mundane elements within an organization's operation.

Administrator (business), a person for the performance or management of administrative business operations.

Business administration consists of the performance or management of business operations and thus the making or implementing of major decisions. Administration can be defined as the universal process of organizing people and resources efficiently so as to direct activities toward common goals and objectives.

I recon we could write a book on 2D. We, as a discussion group, have likely just scratched the surface on the totality of available considerations.

I like simplicity. Here's my book...

Careful. You might miss it.

Care for the other person. Allow them to care for you.

I could write an epilog to clarify the key words above. But I won't.

End of story.

This is a really nice post, Face........in amongst some of the other posters here who chose to insult women and use tricks to manipulate them, which can be rather upsetting to a woman. I'm sorry you consider yourself a 2 time loser. You sound like a really nice guy. I hope you find your soul mate.

Thanks, FoTi. I've thought I had a soul mate several times and, you know, I think I did but the only thing in this world that is consistent is change.

But, like any cowboy worth his pork and beans, I'm makin' another go 'round.:coolwink:

Less of a heel? Hopefully before too long it'll be, "free from feeling like a heel; totally free from it!" :D

Actually, the emotional blackmail that goes on in the male/female is an ugly scenario.

Hubbard pointed out in one of his occasional clever moments that the basic or biggest overt one can commit is that of making another guilty.

Nasty types are masters at making others feel guilty . . . guilty for being present, communicating, causing, being beautiful-but-not-giving-me-the-sex-(money/admiration)-I-want, breathing . . . you name it!

Don't wear it! Don't let the idiots of the world make you feel like a heel with their use of the make-guilty trick!

It's an amazing thing to watch . . . I had it when I was a young and good-looking swimming champ hunk. It would often happen that some pretty (or oft not so pretty) young thing would try to attract my attention . . . usually while I was at the pool training . . . and man, would they run this make-guilty trip on me for "not liking them!"

And even funnier to watch is the next stunt in the sequence after they have run their abuse on you is, they start making less of or nothing of you with false accusations and belittling statements! :duh:

Honest and decent men see this sort of shit going on among the poseurs all the time. The poseurs makes an inept and stupid pass at a lady, gets ignored and then starts telling you all about the "unacceptablenesses and unworthinesses" of the "chick" or "tart.":D

People invalidate each other too much. It is not OK.

So, Hats, my sweet, honor the truth of you

You made my week.:p :bighug:

I really AM going to put this up on my wall as a reminder : BELOW

And just as an indication on how important wants are, one must realize that wants precede one's intentions and doingness . . . wants are the reason and driving force behind our dreams, aspirations, and action!

Violate a person's wants, and you'll really create an enemy for yourself!

I've always been fascinated by the lands that have camels. My Christmas cards are always of the magi making their trek under the star at night across the desert.
I've read several biographies about poet Arthur Rimbaud. One of them was about his missing years on the African plains and hills and in the Gulf of Aden.
There were several photos taken in the 1880s where there were camels and natives and British soldiers with camels at their hitching posts in front of the forts. Fascinating book.:D:D And Rimbaud did not feed the camels enough. :duh:
They were starving.
