Thank You, Dex

So there I was, escaping the New York City winter weather since fall 1981, and through the winter 1981-2, in sunny Miami. My org's ED sent me a message asking how soon I'd be back, and I told him to let me know when the weather got warm up there:).

It was the middle of March, and per tradition there was the March 13 "Ron's Birthday event". As it was ending, I was standing around in the parking lot behind the main org building shooting the breeze with a group of TTC students and interns when a woman approached us in a somewhat frenzied state. She gave her name (I won't disclose it here), identified herself as OSA staff (OSA was very new and largely undefined for most of us) and explained that she was seriously sick and needed help of an auditing nature, and that she was on the confidential Key to Life Course, and so any handling had to be done through the KTL Case Supervisor. She was in a panic, and nobody knew what to say to her.

Observing that this woman needed not only help but some immediate reassurance, I took control of the situation. I asked her which dorm room she was staying in and told her to go lie down there, and I would meet her there shortly to help her. Somewhat relieved, she went on her way. One of my circle asked me what I was going to do, and I truthfully answered "I have no idea, but I'll figure it out".

I sought out a staff member who could immediately get a message from me to the KTL C/S, who in turn quickly sent out to me an emergency assist program to run on this woman. I looked it over and headed to the woman's room, with the rest of the circle of students and interns tagging along.

With the others hanging back in the far section of the dorm, I had a brief conversation with my PC and commenced with the program. I don't recall what the assist process was, but it grinded and grinded, without producing any sort of change, and after a little while I just bridged over to the next process, which was a touch assist.

This woman was very sick, very weak, in much pain, dizziness and discomfort. As the assist went on through the night, there were frequent originations from her that she was just about to die, that she was dropping the body there and then. Fortunately, from the very beginning of my training I was a very confident auditor, and I knew it was important for my PC's to exude that confidence, and it served me well in this situation. I calmly and firmly coaxed her to "stay with me, we've got a little more to do, this body is save-able", and it required that she do her part and carry on with the process. (Honestly, I couldn't tell you why it never entered my mind that she might belong in an emergency room, other than supreme confidence that I would successfully get her through whatever this was).

My PC did stay with me, and we ran a very long touch assist, which ran past midnight, from March 13th, "Ron's birthday", to March 14th, which just happens to be "Dex's birthday". 9but for some reason, I don't recall there being any "Dex's Birthday events":D

Eventually, she brightened up, smiled, very relieved and told me she felt much better. She sure did look like she felt much better. She sat up, then stood up, looking quite chipper. The next day she found me, and smiling told me she'd been to a doctor and found that she'd had a kidney infection, and thankfully expressed "That was very OT of you".:)

I had actually, some time earlier, come across the idea of saving a life with auditing, and I'd decided I really wanted to do that. I do believe that at this time and place, I accomplished that goal.:)

Good stuff, Dex.

Interestingly, I had a similar experience back in the early ‘70’s. I was on a Flag Mission wherein I had to interface with some GO folks from the area's local org. The day I wrapped up my MO’s the AG invited me out to dinner with some of the GO staff.

During dessert the AG/PR (a very attractive young lady) spilled a scalding hot decanter of tea in her lap. She was in extreme pain. I did my best to immediately replicate a contact assist which helped her some immediately.

It was very late at night and my flight out was in late morning the next day but I offered to give her an assist. We went to her apartment and she was in such discomfort that she had to remove her dress and panties. I saw that she had some aloe plants and cut some shoots open and had her apply the gel to the burns on her genitalia and thighs. My TR’s were completely in and I ran, alternately, Touch Assists and “Point to where it happened; Point to where you are now”, and “Tell me about where it happened; Tell me about where you are now”.

After about 3 hours she was looking and feeling better and much more comfortable and started an itsa line so I went with that 2WC, earlier similar for a while and she LFBDed, Coged and went into a terrific 10 minute line charge and I just sat there silent and let her flow. When the line charge ended I gave her the “anything else you’d like to say…” prompt and she sad, "yes", itsa'd for a few minutes and went into another line charge that lasted 20 minutes. After that one ended I ran “Look around the room and find something that you’re not in”, havingness to EP origination “I’m not in my body”, prompted and, with "Best Session I ever had. WOW! I thought there was something wrong with me. That's it...that's all I have to say, " origination, ended session.

She was in zero pain and VVVGI’s. I suggested she should see a doctor as although she was not in pain her skin was very blistered and she said she'd do that the next day. I told that I’d write up the session and drop it off at the Org before I left and that she should go to the Examiner at her earliest convenience. I stayed there until she was ready to sleep and left for my hotel…about 5 AM. I packed, wrote up the session (this was all without a meter) for her folder and dropped it off with the Dir Comm three hours later, went to the airport and flew back to Flag.

A few weeks later several Commendations arrived from the AG and C/S. The PC had a Floating TA at the examiner the next day and, several weeks later, still had a persistent FN. Apparently the young lady had been having a tough time in her auditing and the AG was concerned and, in her words “Not only was Officer Face a highly competent Missioanaire and excellent to work with, he cracked my AG/PR’s Case”.

As an aside, this was one of the inadvertent occurrences that made for a very comfortable and easy going relationship between Mary Sue and me. We all have our faults and I’ve tried to write my take on El Ron and Mary Sue as objectively as possible here on this thread. I am still very fond of Mary Sue to this day…she was a good women that deserved so much better than she got.:bigcry:

Please excuse me for “creating on your create”, Dex. Your story brought back a memory from long ago and I get exactly where you’re coming from. VVWD to you and keep it coming…you’ve got good stuff and I'm very glad you're here with all of Us!

PS: Someday I’ll get around to completing my “What and Why” Story and that will, hopefully, clarify more for all y’all…and yours truly…just where I am at re: Scn and the “Tech”.:confused2:

Purple Haze aka Candy has been giving me some quality help in applying tech to my 2D fiasco. Besides all the case that I have posted, a lot for humor and shock value and some as a cry for help from others to help me out, there has been a significant amount of case gain which I have made in this difficult area. Things are starting to break my way as I gain more understanding.

MY SECOND DYNAMIC C/S.
A special amount of gratitude goes to Candy for being my 2d C/S. She has had the patience to devote much of her valuable time in listening to a lot of my case as well as read about it. Right from the outset, she encouraged me to apply tech such as Reach and Withdraw and the Expanded Tone Scale. She has recommended a CD for me to read and given me a link to it. It relates to the bood, "Women are from Venus, Men are from Mars". Candy has seen all the persona involved in my various romantic escapades out in O.C. She is willing to confront my bank so as to help me out. She does not have to listen to these case manifestations of mine but she does and she C/Ses me. She has been such a sweetheart that I want to give her a plug. She is one of the top tech people in the world and she is available to cousel people in the Greater Los Angeles area. She offers a lengthy and comprehensive free intro service which usually takes 1 to 2 hours but has gone as long as 5 hours. For anyone lookding for world class guidance and counseling, Candy would be just an excellent person to help you.

ON THE BODY ISSUE VS THE SPIRIT ISSUE. Of course I know spirit is infinitely more important than the body. I just know that for Edey and now Lorinda, currently my two closest friends, the physical part of the relationship is very important. Both women work hard at looking magnificent and also being healthy. As Edey told me, "I am offering a total package, mind, body and spirit. It really turns me off that a lot of men who are out of shape and eat junk food, think they can hit on me and think that I will desire them for their mind or their money or sense of humor." She continued that if a man or woman works to maintain a fit and healthy body, then he or she shows discipline and causitiveness and she respects the person as being more causitive. Finally with people in their 60's and 70's, there is the practical consideration of life span. She doesn't want to start up with a man who is severly out of shape, since his remaining life span might tend to be short.
I greatly admire her for what she said and believe all the points she made are excellent. She will be close friends and buddies with an out of shape man but doesn't want to take him on as a romantic partner. In that limited sense, the body is important to her. I JUST CAN'T MAKE THE POINT ANY CLEARER.

Lakey

Lakey, here is something to ponder on . . . .

Folks who are in very good shape and whose bodies are"clean" in the sense of healthy and well looked after, are relatively free of the toxins and debris that are unpleasant to experience (sometimes by subtle smell and also by actual experience of "wavelength").

Of course, folks who have not maintained their physical condition in the realm of optimum don't know this because they are in the condition they are in and what they experience is the "norm" to them.

But if you pay close attention to perceiving the bodily emanations of folks, you can pick up on all these nuances. You can actually perceive the junky unpleasant condition versus the rather more aesthetic and beautiful, purer condition of a body that is internally clean and in good shape. (Hey, and which is more pleasant!??)

I first collided with this when I entered the vegetarian movement. Not that I recommend that life-style (I was the Ozzie delegate to the International Conference in '65). But the folks I met there did pay attention to their bodily condition.

I say all this because there are so many "subtle" things we humans pick up on when meeting, greeting and evaluating the potential of each other.

People with less than optimum bodily conditions are way slower than those with more optimum conditions. And from the perspective of those who are in a more optimum, cleaner, "healthier" condition the junky body of the other is, well, perceived as junky. It is unpleasant!

People too frequently have physical conditions that are totally unnecessary and stupid to have. Type 2 diabetes is an example. Problems with cardiovascular conditions is another. And medications for such only compound the problem . . . . for those interested, it would be worthwhile reading up on the hidden side-effects of these "medications" . . . . get the info on what else they do to the body, what else they screw up!

All these less than optimum conditions not only makes the person themselves feel limited and sluggish, but that condition is perceivable to others.

You know my age . . . I went skiing with guys half my age on a company jaunt about 15 years ago now . . . and they were amazed (and a little insulted, even though friends) that I skied their pants off in terms of condition and endurance. Ditto when V and I moved apartments . . . I ran the legs of the younger guy who was normally used to physical work.

This all because I have knowingly applied the correct tech for maintaining a body.

Frankly, I do not "accept" the decline of my body as a normal course of events . . . . though in fact it does age . . . when I encounter any condition that is less than optimum (though I do have some sports injuries that affect it, regrettably) my first action is to seek how to restore it . . . I do not accept the "aging/wearing out" paradigm without seeking to handle it. Though it is true I may not successfully reverse all of the "aging" process, I do not blindly simply say "that's the way it is" and let it take me over.

But the first thing to realize is that when interfacing with those who are very fit and looking after their "carbo-oxygen" machine properly, if you are less than well looked after, you will be perceived as a . . . . well, let's not mince words here, we're among friends . . . you'll be perceived as a slob.

That's the body thing . . . .

The spiritual thing does trump it.

How is it that this young man is singing out in the open like this. Where is he and what is the occasion Mark?

edit. (Duh. Does Broadway in Bryant Park Ring a bell?)

Don't know specifics. He was starring in "South Pacific" at the time on Broadway. Talented guy, Andrew Samonsky.

It's really really great to see the posters here using processes available to be run on friends. It should be miracles as usual instead of miracles as few and far between.

Thanks, Dex. I was kinda in the same situation as you were in...I didn't know exactly what in hell I was gonna do but I was determined to help this being some how, some way.:coolwink:

When the PC started the itsa line re: her problems in previous auditing I went, "Oh, shit." I actually thought, off and on, "I'm gonna get creamed for this" but, as far as the PC was concerned, she was really "In Session" and obviously winning so I just went with my instinct and what made sense to me.:confused2:

I do not fully agree on the heart medications. I am virtually positive that had I not taken them starting around 1999, I would have died several years ago from a stroke or heart attack. I am still on the medications and would like to get off of them. My cardiologist says, lose 50 lbs and he will ween me off of them but I have not lost the weight. The Kangen water appears to have enabled me to reduce my drug usage by reducing my dosages.

All these less than optimum conditions not only makes the person themselves feel limited and sluggish, but that condition is perceivable to others.

I agree fully, that's what I have been saying all along, the spiritual thing trumps the bodyl thing but the body thing can play a significant part on the 2 D.

R

Somehow, people seem to get the idea that I am saying the the body trumps the spirit thing. I never said this and do not believe such folly.

I like Roger am young for my years. I am going to be 71 in December and I pass for 59 to 60. I have20/20 vision and don't use reading glasses and have extremely sharp hearing. My reflex times are very quick, I have no aches or pains whatsoever. Due to my extra weight, their is a loss of stamina and a bit of lethargy present to start new cycles.

My main negative from taking heart and blood medications was that I started to lose my short term memory. My body got used to my medications and when that happens, one's mind tends to come back partially. I work the crossword puzzles, Suddoko puzzle and the daily Cryptogram using a timer. This has helped to keep my mind alert and razor sharp.

In summary, I agree with Roger's post with perhaps two points of dispute.

If the preclear will just go with the flow, look at/experience whatever comes up, there's no telling what will come to view. Many preclears have trouble with their own, analytical thinker getting in the way. If an incident doesn't make sense, they will reject it outright. I have done that myself as a preclear. Yet, if the incident made sense it probably wasn't too aberrative.

I was listening to John McMaster telling his students this same thing just a few days ago. I had an mp3 of a talk of his. He said he always asked his pc please please do not filter anything. He wanted what they were stuck in or involuntarily creating that was there in present time through which everything else was seen. He felt if they analytically filtered it in any way that the processes could miss. This was very important from his view.

Many years ago, I was, as a preclear, running disgust. The incident in question took place in the early days of steam locomotives. I was the fireman stoking the fire. The job was hot, nasty, and dirty. What made it disgusting is that I was stoking the fire with desiccated cadavers. They were stacked in the coal car like so much cordwood. As they burned cinders flew off the fire each time the door was opened to thrown another in. I was covered in cadaver soot! :omg: I just wanted to get the job over with and take a bath or a dunk in a river or lake. :omg:

I watched the countryside going by, wished I could be there in the cool, clean air, excepting for my desperately needing the work.

As a preclear I dismissed the incident as dub-in. Who woulda thunk such a thing could have any bearing on reality?

Many years later I was watching a history show on Egypt. In it the narrator explained that mummies were so plentiful in Egypt that they were sold off to the newspaper industry in the U.S. There they were stripped of their bindings to make paper of the cotton. The mummies were then used by the rail industry to burn in their steam locomotives as it was more cost effective than wood or coal.

Imagine that!

I knew that was what you were coming to. I remember the story about the mummies being used to fuel the furnaces back in the late 1800s. I thought it was horrible. No wonder there were so many train crashes. The cars were made of wood back then you know. It was the mummies' curse. :omg:

The following news story prompted my writing the above. Imagine trying to run this story out some day. WTF!?

Crocodile on plane kills 19 passengers
by Staff Writers From: news.com.au October 22, 2010 7:50AM

• Crocodile escapes from carrier bag
• Creature causes on board stampede
• Plane tips, then crashed into house

A STOWAWAY crocodile on a flight escaped from its carrier bag and sparked an onboard stampede that caused the flight to crash, killing 19 passengers and crew.

Croc caused plane crash, says survivor
A plane crash in the Congo that killed 20 people could have been caused by an escaped crocodile.

The croc had been hidden in a passenger's sports bag - allegedly with plans to sell it - but it tore loose and ran amok, sparking panic.

A stampede of terrified passengers caused the small aircraft to lose balance and tip over in mid-air during an internal flight in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The unbalanced load caused the aircraft, on a routine flight from the capital, Kinshasa, to the regional airport at Bandundu, to go into a spin and crash into a house.

A lone survivor from the Let 410 plane told the astonishing tale to investigators.

Ironically the crocodile also survived the crash but was later killed with a machete by rescuers sifting through the wreckage.

British pilot Chris Wilson, 39, from Shurdington, near Cheltenham, Glocs was acting as the plane's first officer alongside Belgian pilot Danny Philemotte, 62, who was owner of the plane's operator Filair.

The plane smashed into an empty house just a few hundred metres from its destination.

"According to the inquiry report and the testimony of the only survivor, the crash happened because of a panic sparked by the escape of a crocodile hidden in a sports bag,” news organisation Jeune Afrique reported.

"One of the passengers had hidden the animal, which he planned to sell, in a big sports bag, from which the reptile escaped as the plane began its descent into Bandundu.

"The terrified air hostess hurried towards the cockpit, followed by the passengers."

The plane was then sent off-balance "despite the desperate efforts of the pilot", said the report.

"The crocodile survived the crash before being cut up with a machete."
The plane was a Czech-made Let L-410 Turbolet, one of more than 1,100 produced as short-range transport aircraft and used mainly for passenger services.
