We're all so full of faults that finding them is easy.

I used to be filled with this violent rage that I used to go looking for fights so I could unleash that rage on some mother-fucking asshole who deserves to get fucked up.

And I was very skilled at unleashing that rage.

But, the rage never subsided.

It only grew.

Until I learned that I also was a mother-fucking asshole who deserved...

to be appreciated.

Appreciated for things held deep inside that I was terrified of feeling..

and showing to others...

least I seem weak.

Attacking an enemy's weakness is easy.

Turning an enemy into a friend is not so easy.

But, in the end, it is our ability to be a friend that makes us stronger, not our ability to be an enemy.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

But, there is no shame in loving or being loved, No shame in appreciating or being appreciated. No shame in valuing others or being valued.

The shame is in the lie, the deception, the manipulation.

When we cease to care for others, we deceive ourselves just as much.

It is in our nature to care, to love, to appreciate and value. Doing such gives our life meaning, makes us fuller, more complete.

Oh BardoThodol I could not agree more on matters of friendship and love. To me the finding of them and the sharing of them is what gives life meaning and is what makes life worth living at all.

I fall in love right here on ESMB every day I read postings and wish I had more time to read more threads.

As for Veda, well Veda has had my friendship and love for years, and great appreciation.

I love you Veda :love8:

Veda has done GOOD! Don't ever forget or doubt that Veda.

For those who doubt it or can't have it . . . fuggem.

Veda is also, as we are, human and can on occasion relate to his fellows clumsily and like us can be wounded by assault. That is one of the difficulties on forums like this: we expect decency and often get abusive rudeness in return . . . this is something to learn to deal with such that it is not wounding.

But know one thing, Veda, you really have helped many and you have done much good. Be proud of that and take comfort in it.

All the rest is just noise and the sort of thing that is either incited by or furthered by those who do not want your good work and presence as a force against the cult to continue.

You are welcome at my table anytime you care to come.

Veda has taken a bit of a pounding recently. Call it tough love if you like. So I think it's time to balance it out a bit.

I don't want to get into any politics on this thread except to say to Veda that you are loved & appreciated here (even when it might not seem that way to you). You have been (and hopefully will continue to be) a major source of important historical information to people leaving the CoS.

You helped me peel my own onion over the years & I thank you for it.

Yup. I've found Veda to be a great resource, whether I agreed every time with his point or not. Always a rich experience to follow Veda's threads and many links.

Its no secret here that myself and Veda have clashed on
innumerable occasions.

I've since early days on the net said that critics and scientologists have this
in common, they want to make a better world.

I think all scientologists should take on board critical efforts that are based
on truth. Veda primarily gives DOX which are mostly truth. Can't recall any
that are not in fact. His opinions re myself I don't agree with and have
vigorously protested, but he's entitled to them.

I've recently learned at least part of what motivates Veda.

I didn't know what to write on this thread and then I remembered an old interview Rolling Stone did with me regarding Veda and decided to post an excerpt of it here:

"Some people, well, if they don't like Veda, well, then, fuck you." guano rises from the table. "Really." He points an angry finger at the imaginary enemy. "Fuck you." His face reddens. "Period."

Not to put an ESMB thread back on track but...

What Veda does really, really well is respond to the claims that "everything was great back in the good old days until the SPs, etc."

Veda pops in with specific dates, times from the 50's, from the early 60's with incidents and dox that prove that to be impossible. He reminds us of the people that LRH was unquestionably involved in harming like Quentin Hubbard and his other children, his wives, Paulette Cooper, David Mayo, the children aboard the Apollo... He humanizes the "people harmed by Scientology" by giving them names and faces.

He also is very aware and sympathetic about what draws people into Scientology.

Veda,
I am really glad you are part of this community.
Just when I think there was no more Sci WTF moments you provide some links that start me going again.

I don't always align or understand your viewpoint, but so what. The only poster I agree with 100% on this board is myself.
The day we all agree and ESMB is filled with Kumbaya threads with no opposing passion would be a very sad day indeed.

Hope your life gets smoother soon.

I know I've fired a couple of shots across your bows recently Veda, but it was for 2 reasons.

1. I was getting peeved with your sensitivity leading to certain comments from you. (Doesn't matter about all that now).

2. Because I do care about you and wanted to try and pull you back into a more positive zone, before too much shit hit the fan..

Yeah man, I do care about you, like I care about just everyone else around here.

I will agree with everyone else's (OK, MOST everyone else's) comments about your value around here.

We're all different and we sometimes step over lines or not up to them at times, but it doesn't mean we don't care. Not at all.

When we look at a typical family with all the bickering and infighting going on, just remember about the bond that holds them all together. That applies around here too.

We're a weird mob.

Well, I've got my love beads on right now! :coolwink: (Almost always!)

This is for my dear friend Veda: Everything is fine right now! Or it soon will be, and SO IT IS! I know this is true about you and everything in your life! It's an abundant Universe, and your rightful place in it is secure! :happydance:

This song is just for you! :happydance:

Everybody DANCE! :dance2:

I suggest that you listen to this every morning when you get up...and dance around the room a bit to it! Sit up in bed and dance there if you have to!

Do it for 10 days in a row...that will get some new synapses firing in a joyful way, for sure!

And always remember...that you have the aid of unseen hands! :happydance: You know this is true about you and your life!

With much Love and Gratitude for all the good that you have shared with us all, from Sweetness.
