Who or what would want to cause endless distraction on ESMB?

Really, I don't know if he does it intentionally or out of sheer stupidity. But, the fact is that he DOES do it.

Just look at how LITTLE discussion of anything related to Scientology is there is when Vin is around.

Note: It is often difficult to distinguish between acts of evil people and acts of stupid people. The results are the same, but the motivation differs. For me, I find either uninteresting and unenjoyable.

I'm thinking that Vinaire desires interaction. If someone were willing to interact with him on his own threads he wouldn't need to bring the subjects of those threads to other areas. I recently (yesterday) tried answering sincerely about one of his comments. I took the time, answered in-depth, and then he came back, answered briefly, saying that he would get back to it later, and never did. :confused2:

You solution will work if his aim is really "interaction" and NOT something else. I don't see that he communicates much.

I get the idea that he likes to pontificate (being a math teacher and all). He likes to "lecture" others - for their own good. He fails to grasp how limited, small and lacking his little framework of understanding is. That arbitrary and non-essential "understanding" that he endlessly rams down the throats of everyone on ESMB.

But I suspect that what would happen is that you would be "encouraging", he would misinterpret the thoughtful responses to mean that his ideas were even MORE VALUABLE, and he would get about answering and inserting them everywhere EVEN MORE. Panda, you are suggesting a dangerous path!

Well, enough of this. Talking about Vin acts as much as a distraction as the actions of Vin himself. I have put my observations out there. I will NOT contribute anymore to such derailment.

Back to the subject matter at hand. The many flaws of Scientology!

I came to my conclusions in this area based on experience and observation, but it is nice to know that I am in the good company of such thinkers and writers!

To Jesus, and I can see it that way too, even malice, of any sort, is based on some no small degree of ignorance or stupidity. In the end, it might be ONLY "stupidity"!

At times, I even see the nasty shenanigans of the C of S and OSA in the same light. Or Hitler's mass genocide. These actions fundamentally stem from STUPIDITY. Yes, it is ignorance parading around as something else, but really, the "evil" involves crazy ideas, accepted by far too many "stupid people", and forwarded along some purported path of "betterment" or "improvement" (homo novis, a cleared planet, the Ubermensch, the Fourth Reich - all involve visions of a better and wonderful future).

The nuttiest aspect is that these sort of people TRULY believe that their harm to others is necessary and justified. Evil? I guess so. But, stupid? MOST DEFINITELY SO!

In the Galactic Dictionary, which encompasses some 179 galaxies and 1211 sentient planets, the word "stupidity" has a picture of the planet Earth next to it!

People are getting hung up on my beingness because they see themselves in it, but are relieved to think it is not them.
