It is exactly the thing that happens when you expose and stop a malignant narcissist from their hidden agenda, which is on the surface to destroy others, to the undercut purpose of making themselves and others believe in the 'know it all' who in fact has no self esteem or self love.
Exposing or stopping them from having control sends them into the attack at all costs mode. It really looks like this has happened with Marty. He is engulfed with unreasoned emotion, regardless of how he pretends otherwise but it is evident he can't reason straight or deal with facts. He has to make up a lot to destroy in order to defend the defenseless, to defend failure. He is shutting down his emotions and putting up a facade of reason all to protect the failure of himself and scientology. Hubbard did it, DM does it in public but not in his private dealings with others, and Marty is doing it. It is really sick behaviour.
