Yes, this is true. Toward the end of the film (1:28) a couple of guys come up to Marty outside the studio
and attempt to harass him about his child. Marty gets pretty upset over this.
One of the two fellows works as a script writer at Gold -- a civilian, a paid contractor -- and has been
working there for a number of years. If I'm not mistaken, he also sat down for a Ron Miscavige staged
"hate video," filmed at Gold and showing on a COS hate site.
His appearance in the movie is probably merely coincidental. He lives not too far away from the studio.
He probably volunteered to harass Marty because of location convenience.
He may very well be currently involved in scripting some of the talking points for Marty's videos. Who
knows. No conspiracy here. Just coincidence. Small world, this Scientology thing.
Marty filming update: Marty posted up to Going Clear Movie Part 8 . . . an ongoing minute-by-minute dissection
and rebuttal of the film. He wisely skipped Sarge's story -- Hubbard's suicide attempt and Scientology's third rail.
However, Marty had documented this event fully in his third book.
I was waiting for what he was gonna say about his good pal Sarge . . . RIP.
Both guys have worked together there (Gold), for years.
I was referring to the other guy, who is a producer and director.
He has been interviewing MR on camera a lot over the past year or so.
But I agree, the writer may be involved too, and it is a small world.

In Louis Theroux's My Scientology Movie, Marty accused Theroux of having a "cult" because he disagreed with him over how a particular scene should be portrayed in the film. The movie also demonstrated that Marty has a big ego, that he won't take responsibility (or even discuss) some of the bad things he did while in the CoS, and that Rathbun leans towards some rather strange beliefs (e. g. Marty said something rather bizarre near the end of the film about DM possibly wanting him to destroy Scientology).

He got a NEW SUIT and backdrop! Today's post is about The Aftermath finale and contained an especially nasty dig at Mike Rinder (someone sounds a bit bitter at his ex-BFF's success and the fact so many respect him for being a nice guy now!). Make-up job is consistent but he's now graduated to referring to Tony Ortega as "BackPage Tony" courtesy of that literary giant The Oracle - so this is definitely a more recent taping!
IMHO this series is attempting to distract from the premier of the new Aftermath season, hence the recent ramp up in postings! But he looked genuinely embittered when talking about Mike! It was very telling to this video-watcher, at least.
One question though, what was that little "opioid-addicted" line about or referrring to in his response statement at his blog? Not that I expect a lot of what he says to make sense, but that was very specific and one of those things where he seemed to be making a pointed dig at someone.

Exactly! This one confirms that he's keeping up w/the loopy comments and continuing this farce. Though it was interesting how one of his commenters seemed to insinuate that Marty was throwing out "fake news" just to see what happens ... whatever they want to classify it, it's still telling lies, trying to create a narrative of his own & hurting former friends while doing!
In past videos he's seemed uncomfortable when talking about Mike & certain others, not this time! No poker face this time - there was bitterness there! Maybe a bit of regret at needing to be "RIGHT" while making everyone else wrong, then taking that payout or whatever it was that turned him? He could've acted like a typical adult, agreed to disagree on some points, but continued to do the right thing (& not throw friends & people who entrusted him w/their recovery under the bus) and likely reap some of the rewards of current media attention to help his finances. Goodness knows plenty of people were willing to help him in the past - but he's burnt that bridge and trying to blame others for it!
