Thank goodness you have internet! I know it's not easy, but really take advantage of the care and the comfort and get all the rest you can. Once you're outta there you're gonna forget what relaxation ever was.

Take care of yourself Bea and take care of our ESMB baby! Tell her she has just dozens of aunts and uncles waiting to spoil her rotten. :love8:

I'm pleased to hear you are both getting good care. Hope all goes well!

Given the interest in your progress maybe you should just stay logged in? Or better yet, webcam, microphone, & live streaming!

Everyone on Skype for the group conference call! :coolwink:

Onya Beau!

Been reading your story for the last 3 hours, instead of working (but then, I work for myself). It's heart-rending, but wonderful that you've been able to "start the rest of your life".

Here in Oz we're really hoping that Senator Xenophon's Inquiry will do a good job of opening the lid on Co$, and prevent the abuse of other kids so they don't go through what you did.

My very best wishes to you, and your family!
Welcome to ESMB! :welcome:

Oh.. Well.. Make the best of it then. You have some good books?

Hmm.. Now, I'm sure, we're all walking back and forth with worried expressions on our faces.. And boiling water! - I've seen that how to do that in a movie.. John Wayne no less! - He has a very distinctive way of walking back and forth!

We must all do that! - And have boiling water!

(WTF is that boiling water for anyway?)

Phew. BP stabilized out, so they let me go home. I am on Home care. I have to check my BP 4 times a day and it automatically sends the information through our phone line. Pretty cool!

Still going to be delivering early. Dr. told me 1 June is when she will be delivered. She wants to keep her in me as long as safely possible. At 37 weeks, it is considered full term and safe to deliver. 37 weeks is 1 June I guess.

Meanwhile, still on rest.

Tomorrow we get to see her again on sono! They want to see if she has turned so I can do normal delivery. (She is traverse right now).

Try to keep you all updated, and when she is born, with the help of Schwimmy, I should be able to post a pic of her!

Wow.

One week.

I don't know what I am feeling right now. This is very different from Anderson Cooper Week.

....

(WTF is that boiling water for anyway?)

From folklore, it was to send the man off to build a fire, get water from well, put in kettle, boil it...all of which takes considerable time....to get the guy out of the room for a long time. By the time he did all that the baby would have been born.

Hope all is well, Bea!! Take good care of yourself and that babe! We're, obviously, all excited! Can't wait for the good and healthy news and first picture!!:heartflower:

That was an awful story with a brilliant ending and told just as brilliantly.
It just ended and I was wondering what happened with the expected arrival? I hope it all went well for BK.

On the cancer note, in the late '70s I had a very good friend in the Auckland org (Foundation). I believe that both her parents took off with scarcely a word to her to SO. They both subsequently died from cancer.

Karyn, my friend, has since left the church (don't know much in the way of details) and has not fared too well since - mentally. I am sure hers is a story to curdle the cheese. She was always a cheerful happy type of lady and to me a special friend. I may tell more when I write my story.

I always suspected that there was a very high cancer rate within the church. This is an interesting point as I recall in the teachings that cancer was a psychosomatic illness which is caused by the reactive mind. And as such, clearing the person should clear the problem. I left in 1979, so my knowledge only goes to that point.

I remember reading a story by a guy who I think was an engineer who was heavily involved in the refurbishment of the SO ship 'Freewinds'. He was aghast about the amount of asbestos on the ship that everyone was exposed to. When he tried to address the problem he was basically abused and ordered to ignore it and get the job done. I guess the attitude was there is no physical cause to cancer if you note my previous paragraph.

I wonder if anyone has developed asbestos related illnesses from being aboard the Freewinds? I would guess they would have cause for class action against the church for exposing them to a known danger and refusing to instigate safety proceedures and actions. Would this scare the sh*t out of the church?

Welcome The Fixer!

Bea and her husband had a gorgeous - and I mean gorgeous - baby girl, Megan.

There is a thread about the special months before Megan arrived and then events around her arrival.

On post #247 there is a photo of Megan at 7 mths old. A truly beautiful heart-melting wee girl. There are other photos on the thread too.
