Tech!

I am so out-of-the-loop. I found out about this tech just last night. If you are old and forgetful like me, you might have had that dreaded thought after shopping, "OMG! :omg: Where did I park my car?!"

Press the keyless entry, listen for the beep or look for the lights to flash. Don't see or hear anything? Do this. Put the button device to your chin. Press. Bingo! Your range has been extended, your car lets you know where she or he is at!

Said to be an "old wives tale." I dunno about that. How long have keyless vehicle entries been around? Not long enough to garner the rumoring of old wives, I'd say. Said to be an urban legend. Nope. This myth buster has disproved the myth!

And that ends my Public Service Announcement for today.

Comment of Face's Chapter 14

The opening portion of Face's Chapter 14 was very informative and entertaining! What else is new? All of Face's stuff is that way.

Besides the precept of "never withdraw allegiance once granted" being repeatedly ignored, my opinion is that another of LRH's precepts was routinely ignored as well, that being "Exchange in Abundance".

It seems to me that eventually LRH went out exchange with everyone who ever really helped him. It happened with all the persons and groups which are mentioned in Chapter 14.

In addition, of course, David Mayo received the same treatment from LRH. Another well known person who I believe may have been in the Top 3 who helped LRH the most was Yvonne Gillham Jentzsch.

She built Celebrity Centre International from scratch based on a directive given her by LRH. I really believe that if she had not personally started Celebrity Centre LA in 1970, Institutional Scientology would no longer exist today. Most of the money and the power today's C of S has was created by Celebrities through their donations of large amounts of money plus all the positive Promo which they generate for the C of S.

Hubbard started unmocking her in late 1971 and through 1972 and 1973. The way he did it was in creating the Networks which were above the local Orgs on the various Org Boards. Flag Banking Officers, Flag Reps, Assistant Guardians and LRH Comms were sent to all Sea Org orgs, including Celebrity Centre. Immediately upon arrival, they outranked the Commanding Officers of the Org at which they arrived.

The first FBO was mature and knowledgable and worked with Yvonne. However, the first Assistant Guardian was a 23 year old woman with almost no training or processing who was the Org Cashier. She was sent to St. Hill for 6 months training and came back to CCLA and had the power to boss Yvonne around. The same with the new Flag Rep, Nancy, about 23 years old and a Course Admin, she was made the First Flag Rep.

When the young inexperienced persons who were picked for these jobs came from CCLA, Yvonne still had enough clout to control them. When young neophytes with no maturity began arriving who had little idea of who Yvonne was and could care less, then they would routinely over rule her decisions and boss her around.

Just think about it. Ron and Yvonne had each given the other their allegiance. Yvonne believed in Ron and yet he took her down with absolutely no remorse. The exchange between the two of them which was in strongly for several years went out the window with abandon when LRH, out of nowhere, abandoned exchanging with her.

As happened to nearly all of us who were short changed as to exchange with LRH, we all wondered why this had happened to us. We assummed that he was such an advanced and wise being that we must somehow be at fault. Therefore, we developed self doubt and lost our belief in our own power. In Yvonne's case, she manifested the absence of at least equal exchange from LRH by contracting cancer and dying at Flag early in 1978.

Thanks for honoring her yourself Jachss! That pencil sketch of her was made by a young male artist who joined Sea Org as staff at CCLA around 1974 or 1975 when I was no longer on staff but doing courses there. The guy was in his early to mid twenties and was very uptone. I believe that he knew nothing of Scn and somebody dragged him to an intro lecture at CCLA and fell head over heels in love with Scn.

I heard him speak at graduation, etc. several times and he was totally excited about Scn in general and CCLA in particular. After a big win he had, he put something in the CCLA Orders of the Day, saying. "It's really happening, the planet is going clear!"

In 1976 I left CCLA for ASHO, which became my Org. In 1979, I returned to CCLA, when they were on La Brea Ave. to take the PTS/SP course. I became buddies with the sweet young receptionist, Mary. There was a display near reception with pictures of Yvonne and a list of her many achievements. The pencil sketch shown by Jachss was in that display as well as a couple other of his sketches of her plus many photographs.

I asked Mary how the young artist was now doing and she told me that he had been comm eved and off loaded. She said he was not tough enough to accept Sea Org life and the military type command chain. After Yvonne died, he had no one to buffer him from the harsh demands of S.O. life and quickly became disenchanted and routed out.

Speaking of Mary, that was another one of my platonic female friends. In 1979, I was only 39 but she was just 19. She was married to a young S.O. staff member who was a bright and clean cut guy. She and I became close buddies, telling jokes and horsing around. After I was on course 3 or 4 weeks she told me that she really liked me and if she wasn't married, she would have asked me to be her 2D. I was thrilled by that and asked her how long she had been married and she said she was married only 4 months earlier.

I said, "You mean to tell me that if I had started course about 6 months earlier, you would be my 2D now." She said that was correct. We decided to exchange phone numbers and stay in touch and we talked regularly. About a year later, in Sept. 1979, I met my ex wife and we married in May of 1980. All the while, I was still friends with Mary, keeping up the phone conversations. We would agree to meet at the various big events at the Shrine Auditorium. I introduced my wife to Mary and her husband. Finally in 1982 my Son was born and when he was about 4 weeks old, I drove him up to the complex and Mary and I had lunch together at New York George's and she got to meet my Son.

Mary and her husband left the C of S in 1983 or 1984, affiliating themselves with the Mayo group. She told me over the phone that she was routing out and would be declared an SP. I wished her well but we decided that it was best to end our friendship. We had a 5 year run as good friends.

Wow thats quite a story Lakey, that artist did a striking job, little did he know what he was in for!! Probably loading boxes of promo, wasted no doubt!

Not tough enough, i never knew her but Yvonne would have to have been tough in that role.

Ah its those moments in the past , the almost moments, what could have been with Mary? Still 5 year friendship thats a great bonus.

Thanks for the heads up.

So the CCLA pictured that was where you were on course?

Great post Lakey.

I, personally, wouldn’t say that Institutionalized Scn wouldn’t exist today without Yvonne’s CC, but it certainly would be smaller and poorer financially. Same is true for the Walter’s, Samuel’s, Corydon's, Spickler’s, Mary Sue’s, et al.

Yvonne had a Great Heart—a Presence—that cast a Brilliant and Special Light. Yvonne didn’t get that Light from Scn or El Ron…she was born with the Light. Yvonne Loved Artists; Yvonne Loved People; Yvonne Loved Life; Yvonne Loved.

Yvonne sought naught to keep you from going to Flag because she thought ill of you; she sought to keep you from going to Flag because she Loved you and truly tried to watch out for you. Yvonne sought only to "tool the system” to protect you.

On ESMB you have given Yvonne great Honor—Honor that she well deserves and Honor that is befitting the Love—I am certain—she held for you.

Face :)

If Yvonne needed an agent to stand in for her delivery of TR-2 at this time and place, you be it, Facey. That's a helluva acknowledgment of and for Yvonne, and a helluva recognition of Lakey.

Face, you make some terrific points! First, about Scn's existence today, ... it would most likely still exist today had CC not come into existence and yes, it would be much smaller and not nearly as wealthy as it is now. In the turmoil after the 2nd Mission Holders' conference and then the huge furor when David Mayo left, it would have been more difficult for the smaller, poorer C of S to defeat Mayo in court and cause the disbanding of the AAC.

If Mayo's AAC would have continued in existence, growing rapidly and opening branches worlwide, it is interesting to speculate what might have occurred. A pre internet gigantic breakaway group, led by David Mayo, against a smaller and poorer C of S devoid of its Celebrites, may have won out against C of S and put them out of business. Even with LRH still alive (just barely), the AAC was making a huge dent in C of S's presence. Only C of S's large fund of money enabled them to harass the AAC and ultimately win a court verdict against them. Without that legal victory, the AAC, with high ARC, much lower and realistic prices, and much better tech would have won out over C of S in an open marketplace in the 1983 - 1984 period. Of course, this is just my opinioin, no one can ever know.

On you second area, Face, what you say about Yvonne is all correct! I saw the woman daily for 3 years, heard her speak hundreds of times and had dozens of one on one conversations and written exchanges with her.

The possibility that she did not want me to go to Flag because she loved me personally and was trying to watch out for me seems possible but unlikely to me. It is certainly an astute observation, something which had never crossed my mind. Again, no one can know for sure.

She delayed my arriving at Flag for a full month. Flag wanted me urgently to be the Treasury person in the LRH Household unit. Due to the one month delay, Flag filled that position with someone else. I used to think, "Wow, if Yvonne had never interfered, I would have been working closely with LRH." I blamed Yvonne for derailing my Sea Org career for the 4th time. NOW, WITH THE BENEFIT OF HINDSIGHT, KNOWING ALL THAT I LEARNED FROM BEING ON ESMB, I SEE THAT BEING IN THE LRH HOUSEHOLD UNIT PROBABLY WOULD HAVE BEEN EVEN WORSE FOR ME THAN GOING INTO THE FLAG BUREAUX!

LRH probably would have ripped me apart and then just thrown me under the bus. Still, I would now be one of the insiders who had worked closely with LRH and I would have all these juicy anecdotes to tell about him.

With Yvonne, my opinion is that LRH and the 3rd dynamic came first. Individuals were important to her and she loved everyone but it seemed certain that she put the welfare of the group ahead of any particular individual. As Programs Chief for CCLA, I had full access to all of CCLA's files and I specifically read what Yvonne was saying about me.

She never trashed me but just made factual comments that I lacked maturity and had difficulty in duplicating and following orders. She suggested that I tended to interpret policy a bit and add my own slant to things. She always closed saying that she did not think that I was ready yet to assume an upper level management position. Of course, there was truth in what she said.

Yes, Face, Yvonne was not an ordinary person. Your paragraph above which I highlighted in blue is extremely accurate and true. I have never been in the presence of anyone as charismatic as her. She had a unique ability that if she gave someone a compliment, they would be floating on "Cloud 9" for days.

Though she blocked me from being promoted 4 times, it never really mattered to me in the way I viewed her. I knew that I was in the presence of a truly great Being.

As Beings go, she was way above my "pay grade". She thought big and went after big goals. She believed that she could cause things and routinely, what she intended came to pass.

As regards honoring Yvonne, my original goal was to just tell my personal story but when I started talking about Yvonne, I felt compelled to honor her. IT IS SO IRONIC!! Of all the people who knew Yvonne and worked with her, it ends up that her Director Of Disbursement, who she blocked fom 4 promotions, is the one who gives her the HONOR that she so richly deserves.

BTW, Candy was there with her the first day they opened their doors and one of my biggest rewards for bestowing honor upon Yvonne has been the honor of becomming good friends with Candy and receiving sessions from her. Yvonne and Candy, two wonderful and powerful Beings who worked together to build Celebrity Centre, and I was fortunate enough to know them both!! How Ironic!! In the end, things work out for the best......
