I don't recall any calculus problems ever being on any IQ tests which I took. If that were the case, that would defeat the goal of IQ tests in general, wouldn't it. Taking one particular course of study should not effect the outcome of any valid IQ test. The calculations portion should require using only arithmetic and only the most fundamental concepts of algebra, concepts so fundamental that even if someone had never taken algebra, he could still solve the problem using logic and common sense.

Actually I said that the scilon iq test said 143. So sure, I'll take 149. Or higher....although I doubt I would score that well since I can't do even basic calculus. I'd score well on the language portions and pattern matching portions but not on the calculations most likely.![]()
I'd go back to school to take math and calculus except at this point, what would be the point? I don't really need to be able to perform complicated mathematical feats.
