I do however find a tone of elitism (maybe that's the wrong word, perhaps self congratulation on having assembled your great thinkers) sometimes on this thread. Well, on the odd occasion when I have read it.

Lakey, I don't have a thread to call my own. I'm sure you would beat me at basketball though. I am only 5ft 1 and 1/4inches tall.

Kutta, a tone of elitism or being sefl congratulaory...? I will plead guilty to those traits and salute you for an astute observation. I AM THE LITTLE GUY, THE UNDERDOG! I have been an underachiever most of my life, just a shy and quiet rank and file type of guy. When I arrived here in February, 2009, I did not recognize anybody I knew and I quickly saw the "pecking order" of who was popular and an opinion leader and who was just rank and file. I moved into my familiar rank and file role and started this thread. I had this urge to debrief all the charge I had pent up over my experience on the Apollo so I told that story and skipped the CCLA story which actually occured first. The Apollo thread was a modest success, about 2000 views and 45 repllies and it was over in about 4 weeks. I then just started posting as a rank and file guy on whatever threads looked interesting.

Well to cut to the chase, pulling in first Sweetness and Light and then Carmelo and then participating heavily in taking this thread to where it is and being a little tiny bit of an opinion leader myself is new to me. I've had case gain here blowing a lot of harmful charge and I have improved my writing skills and my critical thinking skills and I am proud of my achievements. I don't think there is anything wrong with one being proud of his achievments as long as one does not go overboard.

This is new territory for me, I am friends with opinion leaders and exchange private emails with many plus I receive applause from non Scientologists who contact me and applaud me for some of my writings. I think the best words describing my attitude would either smug or cocky. If I wrote my own personal story, it might be called, QUIET, SHY, LOCAL BOY MAKES GOOD! Also, during my last minutes on the Apollo, a 19 year Sea Org Member Mike Mauer, read me an LRH Policy telling me that LRH says I am Insane and incompetent. I vowed then and there to make Mauer and LRH eat crow and I feel I have succeeded succeeded at doing that. Who wouldn't be cocky and smug after making their postulate stick.

Oh yes, I am about 10 inches taller than you and probably double your weight so lets change it to Scrabble or Boogle or Chess.

I already wrote the history of Celebrity Center on Christmas Day and even gave the Story its own thread. Besides the story, I have written list after list of all the staff members there and who the bests were in each category. I may know more about the old Celebrity Centre than any person in the world except Hector Carmona and I have told every scrap I know. You know all this. What are you talking about here about keeping encouraring me to write a history of CC. I don't get it!

I mean write a book, with interviews, pictures et all...a history of CCLA book. Ask for contributors of stories, photos, ephemera, etc. E-book or real world publishing, or both.

It's just a suggestion! I think it would be very interesting, especially as part of local So Cal history.

Take all the information you've already written or compiled and put into into book form, with additions and elaborations.

The racist in me comes out watching these. Back before general integration, I used to go to soul and blues concerts. My girl friend and I would be the only honkies in the audience. Black performers, back then, performing for black people, seemed to me, to be better performances. It takes a crowd that really duplicates them, as opposed to a Wonder Bread superficial audience.

I think it's time we got back on to some hard Scientology here. There has been far too much stuff about motor cars and restaurants and so on, topics to which I simply cannot raise enough horsepower to be interested in. No doubt I have too many overts or losses on cars back in Marcabian days. Or something like that. So here goes.

Some months back Roger (at a time when he was still marginally willing to talk to me) made a post about the talk he gave at the Pasadena get-together of Freezonews. The talk he gave focussed on the sudden big shift that a person goes through when he/she descends the Tone Scale. The shift lies just above 2.0 on the scale and embodies the shift from being Cause to being Effect, and he spoke about the importance of running these points.

Robert Ducharme also audits these areas very effectively on his R3X procedure. Has been doing so for a good number of years.

It was a very astute observation of Roger's and I acknowledged him for it. Though he seemed a bit miffed when I pointed out that LRH had got there before him, and that the phenomenon was described in Advanced Procedures. Which it is.

Unfortunately the topic died there. Roger said he would answer it but to dar=te he never has. A pity, because there are some very interesting concommitant aspects to the phenomena which we could have discussed further.

So then: LRH not only spoke about the down curve above 2.0 - he called it the Emotional Curve - but also about the up curve, and the need to run that. Though it was not until years later (on ServFac materials) that he gave a clue as to why it was important to run. And in no subsequent materials that I know of did he ever pick up on this point of auditing up-curves. It was like he spotted something, didn't quite get a handle on it, and then, with other matters pressing in on his attention, he never got back to it again. And it is a vital missed bit of the tech line-up.

The up-curve refers in particular to times when the guy is in an Effect state and - through the arrival and intervention of an outside source (e.g. the cavalry arrive), or through the acceptance of a lower beingness adopted by the person, he rises in tone back up through the shift area.

Now you have got to understand this above para very clearly. the guy is down, below 2.0, and is at effect. Either (1) the cavalry arrive or his mom pulls him out of the fight or whatever,

OR

(2) the pretended disability he presents is accepted and is seen to "work" for him

then, and only then, do you have a real up-curve.

And the insidious part of it is that it is here, and yes, only here, that the person's self determinism was tossed out and abandoned. This is where one's theta abilities have gone adrift - In these "wins", never in the losses or engrams or implants or critturs or whatever.

We abandoned our abilities when it seemed to us that it was pro-survival to do so, we won!, and so we became small.

So audit out these "wins". They far surpass the auditing of engrams and the like in so far as the restoration of OT powers goes.

Scientology addiction, for instance Sea Org members, who have been in for 37 years are prime examples of what you speak to.

For my money, finding any of those crossover points from high to low toned or vice versa are areas to prep check.

Each person has their own personal prime dichotomy that gets crossed from positive to negative (and vice versa) when the right environmental factors occur. The crossover point is very spiritually painful.

Well, now this thread has everything...hot rods and fan dancers. There sure was some style to classic burlesque. I've only seen stills of Bette Page, never seen her dance onstage before, or take off her tailfeathers. Bette Page is an iconic cutie that I hope is still alive and well...I always thought she was the inspiration for Veronica in the "Archie" Comics. Same bone structure in the face...same coloring.

Kutta - Anyone who is capable of listening to someone's explanation of a misunderstanding and then changing their mind and apologizing is a pretty amazing person. This trait should be common amongst us but few on Earth seem to have it. It appears that you have handled your service fac and no longer have one. It is a pleasure to deal with a person who doesn't insist on a big make wrong but is willing to listen to a rebuttal and change their mind. When it happens, as in your case, it makes Earth seem like a Paradise!

Sweetness and Light - Writing the CCLA story in book form. It would be a nice project but I have three concerns. First, even if I put in every last anecdote from this thread, it would be a very short book, maybe 20 pages and second, I am pretty sure OSA would get involved and perhaps rightly so. I mean in this instance, I would be writing about a C of S entity and they probably have some proprietory rights and could govern the content of the story. They said nothing about the story I put on the internet and I don't want to push my luck. My third concern would be the costs involved in getting it published.

I am glad that you have had gains and expansiion as a being as a result of reading this thread. Yes, by all means come to grips with the situation which you alluded to in your post.

Carmelo - Thanks for coming back early, I know you are very busy this weekend what with graduation and all. I think you have made your positiion clear vis a vis Paul's remark to keep the thread more focused on matters related to the Apollo in 1973. Posting about the Hot Rod Museum at the Fairplex in Pomona, I am only 20 miles from Pomona and didn't even know that such a place existed. I am going to drive up today and check it out.

Terril and Face - I know I enjoyed Terril's post quite a bit and wanted to acknowledge him. Then in doing so, I picked a remark by Face in response to Terril's post and not one of Terril's remarks. I have been corrected on that. My remarks about Mayo and Ray Mithoff still stand only they are in response to Face and not Terril. By the way Face, you are right, I did purchase the vinyl record called "Switched on Bach" when it first came out on the market. I played it many many times.

Paul - The future course of this thread is out of my control at this stage. A lot of people are having fun with it right now and are not looking for a change in format.

I think your comments have a lot of merit. I think that what I will do is bring out any new topics on separate threads and not talk about them here unless they have something to do with the Apollo in 1973. I have a new thread I will launch today about Thetans and Individuality.
